♡ELIZABETH'S POV♡
I'm Elizabeth Liones. 16 years old. We moved here in Tokyo... again. We are from Kyoto.
"Eli, are you done yet?" Sister Veronica asked.
"Yeah! I'll be there in a few minutes," I replied.
I was brushing my hair and I put my favourite hair clip. The hair clip that my best friend gave me...before.
"Come on down now!" Sister Veronica yelled.
"Yes, coming!" I said. I grabbed my bag and in the corner of my eye, I saw a photo of my best friend and me.
~~~Flashback~~~
I moved here in Tokyo with my family. We actually live in Kyoto. I am 10 years old now. I am with Father. My sisters are at home. Father was talking to his friend. I saw kids running to the park. I decided to go there to make new friends. I don't have any friends. Father didn't see me running.
After 15 minutes, I was now under a tree. I looked around. I can't find Father. I was scared. I'm all alone. I sat down and cry.
"Father..." I cried. Someone appeared right in front of me. A blonde boy was giving me a handkerchief.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"No, I'm... lost," I cried again.
"Here is a handkerchief," he said giving me his handkerchief.
"Thanks, what's your name?" I asked while I wiped my tears using his handkerchief. He sat down next to me.
"I'm Meliodas Wrath, and you?" He asked.
"Elizabeth... Liones," I replied shyly.
"You are a shy girl, aren't you?" He said and he laughed.
"I-I'm not... shy... am I?" I asked. He, then, laugh. I laughed, too.
"I'm gonna help you find your home. So, what does it look like?" He asked.
"Um, the walls are coloured in lavender. And, the roof was silver," I said.
"Like your hair!" He said. I looked at my hair.
"Yeah!" I said. Then, we started walking. While we were walking, a dog barked at us.
"M-Meliodas!" I shouted. I was afraid on the dog. Meliodas threw stones at the dog. The dog ran away.
"He's gone, now," he said. I smiled. He did the same, too.
"Thanks," I thanked him.
"I'll always be there for you, okay?" He said.
"Okay!" I said. We started walking again. After 10 minutes walking, we reached our house.
"Meliodas, thank you," I said and vowed.
"Don't mention it. Let's meet up tomorrow. If it is okay with you," he said.
"Sure, 8:00, okay?" I said.
"Okay. See ya!" He said and he went home. I entered my house.
"Elizabeth! Where did you go?! We were so worried about you," Father said.
"I'm okay, now. Meliodas helped me to find the way back. Don't worry, Father," I said. I looked at Father. He seems unhappy when I said Meliodas' name.
"Okay, dear," he said.
"Um, Father, can I have a map of this area?" I asked.
"Sure, here," he said giving me a map.
"Thanks, Father. Good night!" I said.
"Night..." Sister Margaret said.
"Night, Eli," Sister Veronica said. I ran to my room. I was excited to see him again.
It is morning now. I asked permission to Father to go to the park by myself. He was saying no. When I said that, I have a map, that I'll be okay. He finally said yes.
I ran to the park, I saw him under the tree. When we first met.
"Elizabeth!" He yelled.
"Meliodas!" I yelled back and I started running towards him. But... I kinda tripped.
"Elizabeth! Are you okay?!" He asked.
"Yeah, sort of," I said and he helped me to stand up. He saw my knee with a wound.
"Elizabeth, you have a wound," he said worried.
"No, I'm fine," I insisted.
"No, Elizabeth. I have a bandage here," he said. I nodded. He cleaned my wound and put a bandage on my knee.
"Thanks, Meliodas," I said.
"You're very welcome," he said.
"Let's play hide-and-seek," I said.
"You sure your knee is better?" He asked.
"Yes, so, I'll hide, you seek," I said.
"Okay, I'll count to 10, okay?" He said. He started to cover his eyes and he count down. I hid behind the bushes.
"3...2...1..." he said. He started to look for me.
"There's no way he'll find me behind here," I said to myself.
"Found you," he said. I was shocked.
"Already?!" I shouted.
"I can hear your voice, you know," he said with a smile. We laughed. We played again. This time, he will hide, and I'll seek. It took me 5 minutes before I could find him. While him, he only took seconds to find me. (T-T)
After a few hours playing, we started to go home. A few months later, we are now officially best friends. And my...feelings for him...started to grow...
I know it's young for me to have this feeling, but, no. I do like him. When, I was at home, Father told me something.
"We're...what?" I asked shocked.
"Sorry, Elizabeth. Packed your things up. We'll move to Kyoto tomorrow," he said.
"But, why?" I asked.
"I have reasons for this, Elizabeth. I'm sorry," he said walking away. I started to cry. Someone yelled form outside.
"Elizabeth! Let's play!" Meliodas yelled. I smiled. But, I have to tell him. I ran outside.
"Eli, let's go to our favourite place," he said.
"Eli? You called me by my nickname!" I said then, he smiled.
We went to the tree. We played for hours and we took a break.
"Meliodas, I... have to tell you something," I said and my hair covering my eyes.
"What is it?" He asked.
"We're... leaving," I said and tears fell down from my eyes.
"What? Why?" He asked and started to cry.
"I don't know. He said that he has his reason. I... don't wanna leave. I wanted to stay here with you!" I said.
"Then, don't leave!" He said.
"But, there's nothing we can do to change Father's mind," I said then, he hugged me.
"Meliodas?" I asked.
"I like you, Elizabeth" he said. My eyes went wide.
"I... like...you, too!" I said and we started crying. He looked at me.
"Let's enjoy our time together, while we still can," I said.
"Yeah!" He said and we started playing. A few hours later, it's time for me to head home.
"Meliodas, I'm going home," I said.
"Let's make promises," he said.
"Okay!" I said.
"Promise me that we'll meet again," he started.
"I promise, and promise me, if we meet again, I'll be yours and you'll be mine. Don't forget about me, okay?" I said. We made a pinky swear.
"I promise," he said. We smiled and I went home. He also did the same. Tomorrow comes.
I meet up with Meliodas before we leave. We drew something on the tree. It's MELIODAS AND ELIZABETH. The names were inside a heart. We smiled and we looked at each other.
"Are you really leaving?" He asked.
"Yes. Don't forget our promises, okay? I'm sure, we'll meet again, someday," I said smiling with tears in my eyes.
"Okay," he said.
"Elizabeth, time to go!" Sister Margaret yelled. I looked at Meliodas.
"I'll be... going, then," I said. I was about to reach the car, when Meliodas hugged me.
"I'll miss you, Elizabeth," he said. Then, he put a pink ribbon clip on my hair.
"And I you. I'll treasure this for the rest of my life," I said hugging him back.
"Bye, Meliodas," I said and hopped on the car. The car started to move. He chased the car and yelled.
"Bye, Elizabeth! See you soon!" He yelled. And he waved me goodbye.
"Yes, see you soon!" I yelled back giving him a goodbye wave.
We'll meet again... someday.
~~~Flashback Ended~~~
"Eli! Come on!" Sister Veronica said.
"Yes!" I said and I went to her, we said goodbye to Father and Sister Margaret.
Since, Sister Veronica's school is in a different direction, we walked in a different direction.
After 10 minutes walking, I am at school. I went to the staff room to get my schedule.
"Thank you," I said and vowed. I went to my class. It's 3-A. When I entered the class, the teacher asked me to introduce myself. And so I did.
"H-Hello, everyone... I'm Elizabeth Liones, I'm looking forward in studying with all of you," I said and vowed.
"So cute..." I heard them whispered. I pouted.
"I'm not...cute," I said.
"Hahaha, enough of that. Elizabeth, please sit next to that window at the back," she said.
"Okay, ma'am," I said. I went to my seat. I was looking outside the window thinking about Meliodas.
Someone opened the door but, I ignored it.
"Meliodas, this was your 3rd time being late!" The teacher yelled.
I was shocked when I heard his name. I looked at the door. My eyes went wide.
"Sorry, ma'am. Just doing my duty as the protector of this school," Meliodas said with his hands on the back of his head.
"I know that you are protecting the school 'cause you are braver than anyone, but, you still have to come here early," the teacher said.
"Yeah, I know," Meliodas said and he went to his seat. I just stared at him. He looked the same as he is back then. He stared at me. I didn't know that... HE WAS SITTING NEXT TO ME!
"Hm? Who are you?" He asked.
"I'm Elizabeth... Liones," I said hoping that he'll remember me.
"Well, I'm Meliodas Wrath, nice to meet you," he said and he looked at the board. I was shocked, he didn't even remember me.
Maybe, he doesn't recognize me. But, he should've recognize me, by now. I said my name. Maybe, he forgot about me. I touched my hair clip. I started to listen to the teacher.
~~~TIME SKIP~~~
It's lunchtime and I was looking at my bag. I...DIDN'T BRING MY LUNCH!
"What am I gonna eat?" I said to myself.
Suddenly, someone poked me at the my back. I turned around. It's Meliodas.
"Are you alright?" He asked. That's the same question he asked me when we first met.
"No... yes? Ugh!" I said.
"Guess you're not alright," he said.
"What seems to be the problem?" He asked.
"I left my lunch at home," I said and I hit my face on the desk.
"Well, we could share mine," he said.
"Eh? You... don't have to. I'm fine," I insisted.
"No, Elizabeth. I have another spoon here," he said. That's similar to what he said when I got wounded at the time I tripped. I nodded in response. We started eating, I just wished that this moment would last.
"I wished my memories be restored already," he whispered. My eyes went wide.
"What... do you mean?" I asked.
"Oops, guess there is no point on hiding it. Well, you see, my brother told me that I got in to an accident. When, I was with my Father, he was driving the car, the brake wouldn't work. We sorta crashed on a tree. Too bad I was the only one who lost memories, but, the doctor said that it will returned, but we don't know for sure when," he explained. So, that's why he doesn't remember me. That explains a lot.
"Okay, I wish you good luck," I said with a smile. He, then, smiled also.
After 15 minutes eating, we are now done.
"Thanks for sharing your food," I thanked him
"Anytime," he said and he went to the guy with silver hair like mine, a girl with brown pigtails, a girl with black hair, a pink-haired guy and... a kid?!
I knew it. I knew that we'll meet again. I hope your memories returned already.
※MELIODAS' POV※
We're now done eating. She thanked me with a smile. Then, I went to Ban, Diane, Merlin, Gowther and King.
I thought to myself, "why do I care so much about her like I met her before? I haven't share my lunch to anyone. Not even, Ban and King.
I looked at her. She was staring at her shoes. What is she thinking about?
"Cap'n. Something wrong?" Ban asked.
"Uh, no," I said.
"You sure?" Diane asked. I nodded.
"We have volleyball practice today, Diane," Merlin said.
"I'll just be on the library," Gowther said while reading his book.
"Okay, Merlin. Let's go after the last period," Diane said.
"I'll just sit here," King said sitting on his chair.
"And I'll... what should I do? Uh... Oh. I'll sleep!" Ban said. Then, he slept. I sighed.
Everyone is so busy, today. I looked at Elizabeth again. I saw her pink hair clip. It feels like, I saw that before.
Argh, I just wished my memories came back!
»»THIRD PERSON'S POV««
Elizabeth finally found her best friend. But, he doesn't remember her. Meliodas got in to an accident. But, let's just hope that he'll remember her, sooner.
