Grimm Adventures

Chapter Four

I wake up still in the chair. Ruby's still asleep. I stand up and go to the window. I look at the view. It's quite lovely. Then I feel it. The sickness. The darkness. I look down and pull up my shirt. The black mist is swirling around my stomach. I get it under control and put my shirt back down. It's getting worse. I can't think anymore. I have to do something. I look over at Ruby, still asleep. I walk over to her sleeping form. I put my hand on her waist. She smiles in her sleep. I sigh and head over to my bathroom door. I head inside, dress myself, and leave the dorm. I walk up to the roof. The moonlight shines, beautifully igniting the landscape. I sigh and look down, seeing Grimm patrolling the Emerald Forest. I guess it wouldn't hurt to hunt just this once. I jump down, and land silently. I walk toward the forest. My arms swirl with the Black Mist, and my claws come out. White blade like spikes eject out my shoulders, and my back becomes armored. I stop at the entrance to the forest. I take a deep breath and go in.
