Bonus Chapter: Love At First Kiss

Finally! I know. It took me so long to write this because finals had suddenly shown up for me and then I had a little trouble immersing myself in Olivia's character since I haven't written for her. I tried to show some parallels between this chapter and the first two.

Also I basically used the same conversation from the first two chapters so that none of my readers would have to go back and read it again. Well you can if you want to :)

Again, I am so thankful to everyone who took the time to read, comment and vote of this story. It means a lot.

P.S. In a pass chapter I mentioned that Olivia was a lesbian when I meant to put that she is really bixesual and people like to pay more attention to the act that she also likes girls. I changed it now. Just an FYI.

Have fun reading. I hope you guys like it.

I was here because I wanted to be. I had a thing for carnivals. I loved the atmosphere of laughter and the people that surrounded me. Also, corn dogs were my weakness. Carnivals made me feel like I was a part of something rather than what I have been feeling lately.

Usually I felt like everyone was looking at me but never really seeing. My parents loved me but couldn't help but showcase my attributes; especially because of the community we lived in. It was all about what you had and what your children were like.

I was like the prize jewel of my family. My sister was still too young to actually contribute anything to what the country club was all about.

Don't get me wrong I love my parents and the community but sometimes it's just a little too much.

My job was simply to pass out balloons which was not hard at all. I was sure I would be able to raise some money since kids were attracted to balloons. It wasn't like the country club need money or used it for useful things anyways but whatever.

I was happy because I got one of the easier jobs since people usually only buy balloons during the day and the sun would set not long after the carnival started. I was at least lucky enough not to get a job like working at the dunk tank or even worst the kissing booth. A shiver goes down my spine just thinking about have to kiss like half the people at the carnival.

If the cruel fated person was not attractive they wouldn't be in too bad of shape. But knowing the people of this country club they would never allowed some unattractive person to work the kissing booth, they would pick someone who was undeniably gorgeous.

Though I would still be putting on a show, I was excited. I couldn't explain why but I felt a little anxious like I was waiting on my toes for something to happen. Maybe it was just the anxiety of seeing Danika building up inside of me.

It had been at least a couple of weeks since she completely rejected me and still the sight or just being near her made my stomach clench. She went on with her cool appearance as if nothing had happened only acknowledge me with her spiteful words. While I put on a smiling face to mask my wounded heart and ego.

Of course since Danika was the first girl I had ever loved or so I thought, my ego was shattered. It left me with little to no hope that I would actually find someone who would like or let alone love me.

I couldn't dwell on Danika any longer. I refused to. I would sell balloons with a large grin in my face, like I was having the time of my life. I had too.

So I did. I passed out balloons without a thought about Danika. I passed out balloons to everyone I could get my hands on; sticky children, old couples, and young couples whose boyfriends eyed me up and down but I ignored it and continued selling these stupid colorful balloons.

My blissful ignorance of my thoughts was interrupted when my two so called best friends appeared. Jocelyn and Chassidy stood in front of me, looking almost identical with the hands on their hips and bored stares. I really didn't feel like dealing with them right now.

"Urg this carnival is such a bust." Chassidy scoffs, inspecting her nails uncaringly. Jocelyn nods in agreement as always.

"It really is. Like where are all the hot guys? Have you seen any?" Jocelyn asked, while Chassidy gasped next to her as if what she had just said was so taboo. I rolled my eyes knowing what was about to come next.

"Like she would know about that." Chassidy said sending a pointed look a Jocelyn, whose mouth from in a "O" shape as she nodded quickly in understanding.

Ever since I came out the closet, well since Danika forced me out, both of them have been acting as if I was no longer the same as I was before. This is one of the reasons why I say so- called friends. They haven't really been my friends lately. They have been avoiding me like a plague.

Before my sexuality was a known fact by the public, they at least tried to be good friends doing what good friends should do. I wouldn't say Chassidy and Jocelyn were good people but they were the only friends I had so I dealt with them.

But it was getting to be a little irritating.

"Oh!" Chassidy suddenly squealed. "I forgot all about what Hanna said early. The girl at the kissing booth it seems is really hot this year. You think that's where all the guys have gone too?"

"That bitch, hogging all the guys for herself." Jocelyn huffed almost annoyed as I was. I couldn't understand why they were so concerned with this girl. The girl was probably just doing her job. It's not her fault the guys were attracted to her.

"Why does it even matter? Don't you guys have jobs to do?" I questioned when a kid walked up to me with his hand out stretched. His mother was behind him holding a dollar. I took the dollar and handed the kid a green balloon. The kid took it happily smiling from ear to ear.

When they were gone Chassidy spoke up, "We are on break, like it matters."

"Who is this girl anyways?" Jocelyn asked me with a curious glint in her eye.

"How should I know? I haven't seen her, I've been here all day." I shrugged leaning against the cart that had the balloons attached to them. Chassidy and Jocelyn had only been here for a moment and I was already tried of them bitching about some girl they didn't even know.

"We should definitely find out before the day is over." Chassidy proposed with the same curious glint as Jocelyn.

"I vote we don't. I really don't care who this girl is." I said raising my hand. Jocelyn snorted very unladylike then cover her mouth with her hand trying to suppress her giggles.

"Of course you wouldn't care that she was taking all the guys." I groaned and rolled my eyes for the umpteenth time since they came here. Their snide little jokes were no longer funny, not like they were funny in the first place anyways.

"So you're in of course?" Even though it was a question, I knew she wasn't asking me at all. I didn't even fight her on it. "Good. We will come to get you when the sun is setting." Chassidy blew me a kiss then walked off with Jocelyn trailing behind her.

I sighed, putting my hand up under my chin. I could still feel the anxiousness bubbling in my stomach and I still had no idea why. I could tell this was going to be a long day.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

When I finally sold my last balloon to a little girl, I was tuckered out from standing next to this cart for like half the day. Though I wasn't too excited about going over to the kissing booth, I was ready to finally have some fun at the carnival rather than working all day.

Chassidy and Jocelyn kept their promises coming back to get me as soon as the sun started to set but this time with a bunch of other girls' trialing behind them. To my dismay one of them was Danika.

My stomach immediately fell upon seeing her smug little face. As usual she just had to look perfect with her short dark locks. Luckily I was already over her facade of charm and grace. Danika sent a signature smirk my way with a mischievous glint in her eye and I could tell she was planning something.

"Let's go." Chassidy said. Before we went over to the booth we stopped to grab something to eat since most of us had been working all day and hadn't had a chance to grab anything. Most of the girl bought Greek salads or gyros from a little Greek type stand while I made a beeline for the corndogs.

I bought a nice looking corndog and fries to go with it. When I came back to them, they looked at me with looks of judgment but at this point I really couldn't care less. I was starving and it was delicious.

When we were finished, we made our way over to where the kissing booth was. There was a fair size amount of people still in line though it was getting late. Chassidy and Jocelyn had been right; from where we were standing I could make out the faces of guys I knew from our school.

Some of the girls were fuming having seen some of their own crushes in the line.

"So how are we going to find out who this bitch is?" Chassidy growls with her arms crossed. I didn't like how Chassidy kept insulting the girl. We didn't even know who she was, she could be really nice and from where I stood she looked okay to me.

I zoned out of the argument that the girls were having amongst themselves to see if I recognized to the girl. The distance between us made it a little hard for me to tell but I knew who the guy next to her was. I would know that flaming red hair and skinny build from a mile away.

My family wasn't exactly close with Neal and his mother but Mrs. Ramsey was about the nicest woman you could ever meet. How could anyone not like her?

Neal wasn't so bad himself. I knew most people didn't like him because his smarts outshined their popularity and good looks when it came to sucking up to the parents of the country club but I had no problem with him.

Sadly that still didn't give me a clue to who the girl was and by now I was actually kind of curious.

Then I just had to tune in on the worst part of the converstation of the girls standing around me. "We should let Olivia go."

"Wait, what?" I said trying to get back into the conversation. "Why me?" Everyone just stared at me, trying not to say what they were all thinking as if it was obvious why I should go.

"Well, you seem to know everyone..." A girl named Hanna spoke up for everyone else, skating around the fact that it was more because of the fact that I also liked girls. Before I could speak to argue my case on why I shouldn't get in line to see some girl, Danika spoke first.

"Maybe we should let our new found lesbian take a crack at it. We will get to find out who the mystery girl is and Olivia will get a girl to kiss her. It's a win-win." Danika supplies with a venomous smirk. Of course everyone hummed in agreement. I didn't even argue the fact that I was bisexual.

My mouth hung open a little bit. Is this what she had been planning? Making me get in line to kiss some girl I didn't know for their benefit? Just as I was about to snap at Danika, Chassidy squealed.

"That's such a good idea!" And of course again everyone agreed with excited giggles and laughter. I just stood there mouth gapping open and closed like a fish. "I'll go pay for it." She said before going over to Neal to pay the money. I could see her craning her neck to get a look at the girl.

"But...but." I said trying to find something to say that would change their minds.

"No buts. Go get 'em, Tiger!" Jocelyn said pushing me towards the now short line. I looked back with apprehension, really not wanting to do this especially with them all watching. They all gave me thumbs up, all of them except for Danika who still had a smirk on her face.

Butterflies erupted in my stomach unwillingly as the line moved forward. I stood behind a little boy who was incessantly fixing his shirt and hair. I smiled when I see him nervously bit his lip. I was as nervous as he was to tell the truth.

Finally the guy ahead of us moved out the way to let the little guy past. The girl I moved away for a moment to talk to Neal and then kneeled in front of the boy. I couldn't help but gasp softly as I got a good look at the girl.

I was right about her being undeniably gorgeous.

I couldn't help but to stare at this girl. I was instantly mesmerized by her long flowing blonde hair, her tan skin, and surprisingly soft lips. I felt faint when she smiled at the little boy in front of her. It was small but bright none the less and it made me feel warm all over.

The weird thing is, she looked familiar but I just couldn't place where I knew her from.

She kissed him on the cheek quickly before pulling back. Clearly he was angry about not getting a kiss on the lips. He stormed off with a frown etched into his face. She didn't seem to notice me standing there as she watched the little boy stomp away, so I spoke up.

"Man, I bet that wasn't the only heart you broke today." I smiled bigger when she stood up quickly obviously surprised at my sudden appearance. Her clear light green eyes were even prettier than I thought they were.

"W-What are you doing here?" The beauty stuttered out and I couldn't help but find it exceptionally cute. Her shyness didn't match her appearance at all.

I looked down at my feet not knowing what to say. Of course she would ask why I got in line. "It was sort of a dare I guess you could call it? My friends and I heard that there was some new beautiful blonde working the kissing booth. We wanted to check it out." Calling her beautiful was a complete slip of the tongue but the blush on her face made it worth the slip up.

"So are you?" I asked.

"Am I-I what?"

"Are you new around here?"

"Umm no." She looked at Neal just for a moment before answering my question. "I-I'm the Montgomery's daughter."

I gasped when she said this, almost not believing her. Normally, the Josephine I knew was dressed in baggy shirts and loose fitting jeans, not that there was anything wrong with that but she never showed so much skin. Josephine always had glasses perched on the bridge of her nose and never wore contacts. But this, this was different.

Of course I had noticed Josephine before because she had this shyness about her that was not often seen in the country club. She didn't like to get involved like the others. I knew she was pretty but I never paid enough attention to know that she was this beautiful. I was simply stunned.

It made sense now that Neal was working with her at the kissing booth because they were best friends. Almost inseparable.

"Josephine?" I whispered, still not sure if it was her even though I knew it was.

"My friends call me Joey."

"Joey." I said trying it out, realizing that it fit her more. I stepped up a little more, with the confidence that I usually have. "So, do I get my kiss now?" This insanely beautiful girl was standing in front of me and I had an excuse to kiss her. Who was I to pass up the opportunity? What could I say, I was weak.

I almost laughed at the sight of her eyes widening at my question. Her nervousness was the most adorable thing I have ever seen.

"Well one of my friends already gave my 5 dollars to your thug over there." I pointed to Neal then I looked back at her. "I should at least get what I paid for, even if I do think 5 dollars is a little much for just one kiss." Really, I thought you couldn't put a price on a kiss from this girl.

My heart leaped in my throat as I heard her softly say, "Ok." On the outside I probably looked calm and collected but on the inside I was freaking.

I smiled a little trying to make her feel comfortable since she was technically about to kiss a stranger. Naturally, I lightly grip her chin and wet my lips. My heart was beating super-fast anticipating the kiss.

Finally her soft lips connect with mine and I immediately melt. My mind was wiped blank and the only thing I could think of was pulling Joey closer. So I did. I wrapped my arms around her waist and pulled her closer. I couldn't help but want to deepen the kiss, by swipe my tongue across her soft lip.

I couldn't go any further than that because soon she was pulled away from me. I breathed in, trying to fill my lungs with air once again. I felt a dazed and a little disoriented.

I was shocked and simply floored at how amazing that kiss was. It was better than any kiss I had ever felt in my life.

"That's enough. "Neal snapped as me. But I was looking at Joey to see if her reaction was similar to mine.

I shake my head coming to my senses. I smiled at Joey seeing that she looked as stunned as I am. "Down boy. I was just getting my monies worth."

I can't help but to wink at her, trying to see the blush on her face again before I walked off. When I reach the girls, they squealed so loudly they almost burst my ear drums. I find myself looking over at Danika as she looks at Joey with a sort of envious face. Serves her right.

I look back at Joey feeling her eyes on me. I smile breaks out over my face as I stare at her leaning up against Neal.

I think I was in love.

Well actually I wouldn't go that far but I could say that I am curious. I want to know more about this girl. I need to know more.

"So who is she?" Danika asked, her voice dripping with jealousy. But I ignored her only thinking of Joey.

I ducked my head a little, trying to hide my blush from the crowd of girls. "Her name is Joey."
