jane twiddled her fingers, anxiously glaring at the clock. she was scared. what the hell was happening to her? what had even happened?
she thought it over.
mike loved eleven. they wrote quotes in a bathroom stall. then, eleven died at the snowball. or mike thought she died.
then jane came along. she was kidnapped from her world, taken as another eleven, but she had been branded twelve, or that's what mike and her had agreed.
something had happened. someone had hurt her, and she nearly bled to death while mike watched. now she was in the hospital.
"ms. byers? your guardian is here," the doctor said, helping her into a wheelchair.
she clutched her trembling hands together and smiled tightly at brenner. she bit back her hiss and followed him into the van, allowing him to knock her out blissfully.
eleven would take over anyways.
