I held on to my white gown as if it was dear life. Chineck kung okay pa yung bun ko. Tapos inhale, exhale. Ako lang ata ang mukhang tanga dito na nasa labas ng simbahan naka-gown habang mukhang nakadrugs. Naka saran a yung church door, but the entrance song hasn't played yet. Or maybe it did, I'm just not aware. I slowly peeked and saw all of the guests standing. I shook my head. No, no, no. Tumakbo ako papuntang back door ng simbahan, napuputikan na yung long gown ko. I wiped the moist on the glass of the back door to get a clearer look. There stood DJ.
My DJ. In his tuxedo. Smiling from ear to ear. Magka-holding hands yung kamay niya at binubulungan siya ni JC na best man niya. Tapos binbigyan siya ng thumbs up ni Katsumi, Seth, at Lester. He stuck his tongue at them at tinignan yung aisle. My DJ is getting married. I sighed and held my bouquet of flowers tighter, pero hindi to panaginip. I looked at the girl walking down the aisle who apparently isn't me. She wore a tight-fitting gown. Pano kaya siya nakakahinga don? Hawak niya sa magkabilang kamay yung mommy't daddy niya. BAKIT. HINDI. AKO. YUN.
The dad gave the girl to DJ. My DJ shook his hand and gave her mom a kiss on the cheek. He looked so happy. She looked beautiful. Tapos yung babae, niyakap ni DJ at saka inalalayan papuntang altar. I tapped my fingers on the pew in front of me. Hindi nga ako nanaginip. I bit my lip, there it goes. The sign of the cross.
"Speak now, or forever hold your peace." Sabi ni Reverend. Everyone looked at around except for the girl. Even DJ was looking around until he caught my eye. He loosened his grip on the girl's hand and I gave him a sad smile, he bobbed his head towards me; acknowledging my presence. A sad smile spread across his face pero he immediately perked up ng humarap sa bride nya. JC's eyes followed his at napatingin sakin at medyo itinaas ang kamay para sa kaway. Matagal-tagal bago nagsalita ulit si reverend. Dahil lahat sila, as in lahat, nagtinginan sakin. I slowly stood up and raised my hand, earning an "oh" from all the people. Even DJ. "Excuse me, iha?" The reverend asked.
"I object." DJ looked at me, surprised. Iniwasan ko yung tingin niya. Tama ba to, Kathryn? Yung babae naman, sumama yung tingin sakin. At mukhang nais na kong patayin ng mga kamag-anak niya. "I object." I repeated, tapos unti-unting ngumiti si DJ. Binitawan ang kamay nung bride to be niya at bumaba sa altar.
"BABE!" Sigaw nung babae but DJ didn't look back. "BABE!" She repeated. At mukhang susundan si DJ. Tiningnan siya ni DJ at nagshrug, he couldn't take off his grin out of his stupid face because of my objection. "We're getting married now, babe!" She demanded. Instead of answering, DJ looked at me and I shook my head.
"Don't say yes." I whispered. And he didn't he ran towards me, grabbed my hand and we left the church.
"AND CUT! Good Take!" Sigaw ng director namin. I pulled away from DJ, but he grabbed my hand kissing it. "That was beautiful." The director commented again before taking 5, and going back to his own trailer. Umupo ako sa isa sa mga chairs at kasunod ko naman si DJ at umupo sa tabi ko. Tapos naririnig ko na palabas na ng simabahan sila JC. Lumapit samin si ate Celestine at ate Jackie, with big grins on their face.
"We're finally doing it!" Sigaw ni ate Celestine at yumakap kay DJ at kumiss naman sakin. "And you look beautiful in that gown, Kath."
"Aww, thanks ate Cel. Onga e, eto na yun. After we release this video—"
"You can finally date the love of your life in public!" Pagtutuloy ni ate Jackie. Tama yung narinig niyo, after irelease neto, pwede na kaming magdate ni DJ in public. He can take me out whenever he wants and we can do whatever we want. Why and how? I almost terminated my contract dahil nasasakal na ko sakanila pero when they agreed, we had terms and conditions. And one of them was, do it slowly but surely. At maging medyo discreet naman daw. DJ & I both agreed. Naisip namin na para mai-announce, gagawa kami ng music video na kami ang partner. JC wrote this song Speak Now the other week dahil may kaibigan daw siya na nasawi dahil ikakasal na sa iba yung mahal. Ayun yung idea. The idea of the music video came from Seth, whereas, I should object to the wedding. The musical arrangement, came from Lester and Katsumi, para medyo fun daw at hindi malungkot kahit heartbreaking yung video. Ako naman yung kakanta. Si DJ lang, walang contribution. Master eh. DJ held my hand tighter at hinalikan ako sa pisngi.

"Are you really doing this for me?" He asked. We all know, Daniel Padilla. The master of all surprises and although my surprise, didn't go on as planned, nasurprise pa din naman siya. Dapat kasi, sasabihin ko sakanya kapag nakausap ko na yugn management. Pero nag away pa kami kasi nakita nya yung termination of contract ko. Sinabi niya sakin na bakit daw ang ungrateful ko. That was a horrible night. Puro bagsakan ng pinto at walk out. Buti na lang pinatawag kami ng management together the next day, and then we came up with the decision. DJ was surprised that I'd actually terminate my contract para saming dalawa. He was over the moon happy that he always asked if I was sure. I nodded at him.
"I'd do anything for you, DJ." Later on, nagpalit na kami ng damit ni DJ dahil pack up na ng maaga tapos bukas na yung DAY 2 of the shoot. At kahit pagod, walang reklamo. I mean, this music video will change all our lives. Dumating na kami sa complex at sa bahay ko NANAMAN sila tumambay. Kaso tinatamad ako magluto kaya magorder na lang. I sat on the love seat at bigla namang kumandong sakin si DJ. "Parang ang gaan mo eh no?!"
"Kadayaan mo talaga. Ikaw pwedeng umupo sakin pero ako bawal. Nasan ang equality?!" Pabirong sagot ni DJ at hindi pa din tumatayo sakin.
"Babyyyyy." Reklamo ko with puppy dog eyes at with matching pout. He shook his head and got up. He sat beside me, putting his arms around me. I snuggled closer to him and he kissed my forehead.
"You know, I can't say no to that. Why do you have to have beautiful eyes?" He asked. Ng hindi pabulong. Nakita kong tulog na pala sila Kats. I scrunched my eyebrows together and kissed DJ's jaw line.
"You're more beautiful."
"No, don't argue with me." HE said laughing. Tapos tumayo na kami dahil nagdoorbell na yung inorder na pizza. Kinuha ni DJ lahat ng order. Pizza, chicken, coke. Kala mo naman ang laki ng katawan niya kaya nakikipag agawan ako sakanya.
"AKIN NA KASI KAHIT YUNG CHICKEN LANG."
"No. Open the door." He said, giving me a wink.
"DJ, kapag bumagsak lahat yan. Tingnan mo, sasapakin talaga kita."
"I'm not going to drop this. Now, open the door." He gestured to the front door na naisara ko palabas. I shook my head, trying to get the chicken pero dahil matangkad siyam, inangat nya lang lahat.
"DJ! COME ON. It's just chicken. Isang box. You can carry the pizza and the sodas. Now, give me the chicken."
"I said, no."
"I can do it. You already paid for it, baka naman pwedeng buhatin ko na yugn chicken."
"No. Open the door." He moved closer to the door and I huffed. Asar na ko na binuksan yung pinto. Binaba niya yung food sa lamesa tas padabog kong nilagay yung mga plates pero siya tawa lang ng tawa. "I'm not letting my girl carry heavy things while I swing my arms back and forth."
My girl.
"Yeah, whatever." Aalis na ko para gisingin sila Kats pero hinatak ako pabalik ni DJ and he was unbelievably close. He raised his eyebrows, smirking.
"Are we really going to argue over this?" He asked.
"You started it. I just wanted to help."
"You helped me by opening the door."
"Hindi yan ang ibig sabihin ko, DJ."
He lifted my chin and kissed me. And as much as I wanted to pull away, I couldn't. His kisses are just electrifying. I felt him smile as I kissed him back. Douchebag.
"I love you."
"And you tell me I have beautiful eyes! I mean look at those!" I pointed to his eyes. "How can I say NO to that? I love you too." I laughed, leaning into him as he kissed me again.
"We should wake up the boys, don't you think?"
"I think we should."
