Keith wasn't good with words... like at all. He does fit a lot of Alpha sterotypes like being strong and intimidating. Keith was a wild card sometimes. A lot of his actions were reckless, he is stubborn as hell, and impulsive. Underneath all of that he is a caring person. Like all Alphas he wants to protect those close to them. A good trait for the head of families.
Family
Keith had never had a real of his own family before since he was an orphan. Shiro took him under his wing at a young age. Growing up with Shiro certainly had had it's ups and downs. But Keith often pushed people who weren't Shiro away. Keith for a long time only depended on Shiro. He felt that he didn't need anyone else.
Keith is still a bit cold and distant just maybe not as much. He had found an adoptive family with his teammates.
Pidge, Hunk, and Allura were all Betas the peacekeepers of the pack. Most of the time it was Hunk trying to simmer down an argument. Pidge often showed the signs of being an Alpha , while Allura sometimes swayed in both Alpha and Omega territories. Keith and Shiro were the Alphas, the protectors. Shiro was the more rational one of the two. He often knew what to do in a dire situation, hence why he is the leader in battle. Keith is very protecting but very possessive. Often enough he would get very jealous of any one near spent too much time with a certain ocean eyed omega named Lance.
Lance and Coran were the only omegas out of the team. Coran often acted as a guide to all of them. Answering questions and also there to listen and give moral support. Lance was......Lance.
Lance was the pack's leader in domestic life. Allura and Coran were lucky enough to have similar dynamics on Altea but weren't officially apart of the pack yet. So to Shiro, Pidge, Hunk and Keith, Lance was the one that made them feel at home in space.
Lance
Keith could only feel his heart beat quicker at the thought of Lance. Keith closed his eyes to imagine the Omega. Lance was a bit tall and skinny but defiantly strong. He had bronze skin, and brown cropped but slightly curled hair.Most notably Lance had ocean blue eyes. A rarity in Cuban/Latino children. Those eyes showed so much love and kindness. Every time Lance looked at Keith with those eyes, it made his heart melt. Whenever Keith was about to attack harshly, Lance would come running in to help relax him. Lance's scent and eyes always calmed Keith's trademark hot-headedness.
Humans had four scent glands, two of their neck and one on each of their wrist. Omegas can release pheromones with calming properties but the most effective way to spread these pheromones is scent gland to scent gland. People can spread their own unique scent over people and things to comfort or claim.
Even the paladins, Allura, and Coran each have a special smell. Keith's scent is a spicy but sweet smell like cinnamon. Pidge smelled like freshly cut grass with a hint of lemon. Shiro's scent is calming lavander and camellias. Hunk has the smell of warm wheat and bread. Allura and Coran didn't have the nose to smell their team mate's scents but had a distinct smell of their own. Allura's scent is like the smell of white tea. Coran's smell was a strong scent that resembled sunflowers. Lance's scent was one that reminded them all of their home planet, Earth. He smelled like a ocean breeze mixed tingling sweetness of honey.
Lance's smell and aura was very helpful in comforting his fellow paladins or new alliances for the Princess. Lance was a very good at being the pack's Omega. In all honesty try were all too young. Pidge was still in their early teens, Keith, Lance, and Hunk were in their late teens. Shiro was the oldest at age 25 but still too young to be a leader of a pack. Somehow they did manage to pull it off, thanks to Lance. Lance could have rejected the idea but didn't. He took his position with grace and seriously. He looked after them, and fulfilled their needs. In exchange they protected him with everything they have.
Keith would drop anything and everything to protect Lance. His heart belonged to Lance. Not because he was an Omega but because Keith genuinely was in love with Lance. At first Keith didn't even know Lance was an Omega, he just assumed Lance was an Alpha of some sorts. Two weeks into being paladins, Lance revealed himself. There was no judgment and they accepted him with open arms.
So from then on, the blue paladin became an important part of the team. He must be protected by all costs. The day Keith figured out that he has fallen in love with Lance, he decided he would do just about anything for Lance.
Lance is beyond selfless and would put others before himself. Even if it would cost his life. Keith wouldn't know what to do if something happened to Lance. Keith wants to protect him and make Lance his. Keith had already thought about courting him but that was kinda of hard considering they are in space and danger is around every corner. Plus Keith wasn't good with words and could slip up. Instead of confessing his love, he could accidentally offend Lance and ruin his chances.

"Yeah take that!" Yelled the green paladin as Voltron used it's left fist to finish bringing down the Galra ship.
The team had a distress signal come from the planet Parvus in a different star system far from Arus. The Parvarians were relatively small nearly reaching Pidge's Hip.They ranged in many colors but cream was the most dominate in color. They all sported large brown eyes giving them an innocent look. The Parvarians had a small tail with three large scales on each tail. They weren't completly covered in fur or had scales but felt more like a silk. They did have triangular ears that did resemble like cat ears.
Once Voltron disassembled Allura assigned jobs to the paladins. Keith and Hunk had to scout the area for any danger (much to Keith's protests). Keith was an Alpha and is basically his duty to be alert. Hunk may be a Beta but not everyone knew that. It was a common mistake but most people believe that Hunk is an Alpha. He was large and strong enough to be an Alpha. Pidge had to take notes on the culture, technology, and people of Parvus for the castleship's log of civilizations. Pidge had to talk to people and inspect everything and anything.They didn't mind do all of that since Pidge was naturally curious about different alien species. Shiro and Lance were in charge of comforting the Paravarians. Shiro being an Alpha had a "croon" which is like a deep rumbling noise (almost like a purr) that helps calm people down. Keith can "croon" but finds really embarrassing and choose not to use it. Well maybe if Lance need to be relaxed then he would be up for it. Lance with or with out Omega pheromones had the gift of relaxing others. He was just that kinda of person. Keith obviously didn't like that Shiro got to be Lance's Alpha protector for the day. He would be lying if he said he wasn't jealous of Shiro. Shiro was definitely the one most people wanted out of the two Alphas. Keith was always second best. One of Keith's main fears was that Lance would fall for Shiro instead of him.Which made him even more worried about the two being paired. What if Shiro suddenly fell for Lance! Keith doesn't want share at all so that wouldn't be an option. The final assignment was for Allura and Coran.
Which probably was a very delicate one.They had to be the ones to meet the higher order of the Parvarians. It was up to Allura to try to get the Parvarians into an alliance with Voltron. It was also ordered that after each paladin has done their assignment to go straight to the castle ship, just because it could take awhile to negotiate with the Parvarians.
Keith grumpy walks with Hunk to start scouting. He silently watches Lance run off with Shiro to go talk to the villagers. Before getting any farther Keith got a glimpse of Lance smiling at the Parvarians. A smile that can warm any heart. With that image stuck in his mind he was able to ingnore any Alpha instincts to follow Lance. Keith knew that pretty soon he wouldn't be able to hold back his Instincts. It was dangerous to even try to keep it in. Mother Natural will give him hell sooner or later, and ruin both their lives. Keith was willing to stall in order to gather the guts to court Lance.
"Soooo Keith, what was with you yesterday?"
Yesterday
Keith hoped that everyone forgot yesterday. The signs of his losing control were already showing up. Lance was only grooming Pidge with a hair brush and scenting the young beta. Keith got jealous and he lost his shit in his room. Keith knocked down things off his dresser. He ripped his pillow case in half with millions of feathers floating in the air. He breathed heavily and had to take a while to cool down.
Everyone heard him...
Shiro just assumed he was about to go into a rut or something. That would mean Keith would have to stay away from Lance for a while. Which wasn't the case but he couldn't tell Shiro the real reason why he acted that way.
"It was nothing Hunk. Yesterday just wasn't my day." Keith answered trying to sound calm.
On the inside he was extremely nervous. Hunk was like Lance's best friend. Since Hunk was the closet thing to family Lance had, Keith needed to ask Hunk if he can court Lance. But they were on a mission so it would be really unprofessional to ask him right now. Keith gulped and kept a keen eye for any suspicious activity. Hunk sniffed the area, for a beta Hunk had a really good nose.
The two patrolled the area for what seemed three hours before deciding to head back to the ship. Hunk slipped into his room to change out of his paladin suit. Keith hung around the castle looking for anything interesting. Just a couple of antiques and strange alien knick knacks. Pidge came abroad not long after Hunk and Keith. Keith sat on a couch that was near the entrace and waited for the others. Pidge sat next to them with her not pad. The green paladin was very enthusiastic about their findings on the culture of the Parvarians. Then Shiro and Lance came I'm the living quarters.
However Lance didn't smell completely like himself.
Lavanders and Camelias.... Shiro's scent is all over Lance's!!!
Keith wasn't thinking anymore and was seeing red.
