There you were stuck in the sand after that catastrophe that happened at the sea. Long story short, you were Moana's best friend, you guys were two peas in a pod. Moana always searched, she was searching to figure out what she wanted to do. You were also in the same boat, the time had come when you had to decide what you wanted to do with your life. Since you could remember you were able to do things other people couldn't do. Why would that happen? You needed an answer. So you went secretly on this trip with Moana to figure out why was this happening, how, and why you? All to just destroy the boat and make you land or more like get shipwrecked on a sandy shore. When you came to, all you could hear was Moana's voice yelling at the sea, "-fish pee in you!" To which you chuckled at her insult. You stood up with an ache in your head. You winced, "ow, man the sea surely was trying to save us."
"Oh, hi y/n. You don't look so good, are you ok", Moana asked. "Yeah. I'm fine just a little bruise- hey...do you hear that?" "What do you mean y/n?" That's when you both looked behind and saw a huge shadow of what looked like a person. You and Moana ran behind the boat. Your heart was pounding was this the man or more like the demi-god you both have been looking for. All you could hear on the side was Moana reciting her introduction to when she meets Maui. "Boat!" Your heart leaped out of your chest, here it is... "The god has given me a boat-ahhhhhhhh!" His shriek made you giggle it sounded like a little girls scream. Then Moana started, "Maui. Shape shifter. Demi-god of the wind and sea. I am Moana." "Yep she is the Moana. That she is", you said. They both just stared at you. "What? I was just helping you out with your speech." Moana kept on. While she was talking all you could think about was you were literally inches away from the famous demi-god. You had so many questions. But you never noticed this or heard stories of how handsome he was. His hair looked like silk, and his tattoos told stories. "Wow", you muttered. "Excuse me, what the heck are you looking at", Maui questioned. "Oh nothing um yeah we need you to come with us", you said. "Why should I um what was your name?" "Y/n", you said with an annoyed look. "Y/n why should I? I already signed the oar." Moana shouted, "And I'm not here so you can sign my oar". You realized that this disagreement was going on before your little um *cough, cough* daydream. But he was already getting to your nerves. You and Moana said in unison, "We're here because you stole the heart of Te-fiti. And you will board mine (*you*, her) boat. Sail across the sea and put it back!"
"Yeah, it almost sounds like you don't like me. Which is impossible because I got stuck here for a thousand years, trying to get the heart as a gift for you, mortals...So you have the power to create life itself," Maui said. "Excuses, excuses," you whispered. "Yes, so I believe you are trying to say is thank you. Say it y/n, say thank you to the highest demi-god." "Wait thank you," you repeated. "Your welcome," he clarified "No that's not what I'm trying to say, I wasn't trying to I was I was um I um-"
"Okay, okay, okay. I see what's happening here."
"Oh great a song, why, why, why couldn't this be easy, ugh life," you whined.

Swaying your hips to the music that brightened up your heart. You knew the song had to come to an end but you didn't want it to ever stop.

"Hey," you shouted when you and Moana got stuck in the cave. Now you were angry and those little butterfly feelings were turning into more of a boiling water feeling. How could he do that, you were very irate and thought he would listen. Oh but he was going to listen whether he liked it or not. "Moana, get ready, we are not gonna let go that easily," you ordered.
*Time skip for when they get out and are on the boat cause I am lazy and yeah*
When Moana was talking with Maui you looked down wondering what you were going to say to him. "Maui why did you leave us back there. You know what, you are going to go with us whether you like it or not I really do not care. Okay, you are going to listen to me or Moana. And news flash your gonna help us because you made this mistake," you demanded. Moana nodded. "Wow y/n I didn't know you had it in you. Fine, I already told Moana yes." "Oh well then, let's get a move on then," you announced. While Moana was trying to steer the ship, you sat with Maui. "Look I didn't mean to be so rude back there. It's just I need help. I have had these abnormal powers that nobody in the village can tell me about. They scare people and sometimes scare me too. That's why I came on this trip, to figure out why I have this curse. I'm confused and I just want to know why, why me," you cried. Maui looked at you with somewhat hurt in his eyes. In all hearts of heart he wanted to help you but what could he do. He didn't even have his fish hook. As you were crying you looked up to meet his eyes and that is when everything went still, it was as if the whole sea stopped moving and the birds stopped chirping. It is as if the whole world stopped, you were starting to have these feelings of which you never experienced in your life. What was this feeling, it hurt in your heart continuously. Was this love? You both stared at each other for a while until you broke the ice. "Um, sorry I was lost in um..." "Your eyes...are beautiful," Maui whispered so that only he and you could hear.
Then he looked to the side in a more serious face. "Kakamora." "Kaka what now," you asked. "Murdering little pirates. Wonder what they're here for?" You and Maui looked at Moana, they both were fighting about that green stone or what Moana calls the "heart" earlier. "They're kind of cute," Moana states. "Awww they are, look how small they are. You just want to tuck them into bed like a little baby." You were doing an impression of a mother swaying her baby. "Trust me you don't want to mess with them," Maui said. As they were turning you were on the edge of the boat and in one swift movement you fell into the cold water. As you were trying to catch your breath the Kakamora got a hold of you and lunged you into their ships. Maui looked at them in anger. But you were the type of person that was no damsel in distress, I mean sure right now you were in distress and I mean a lot. "It's okay," you yelled. "I got this." As they were carrying you, you stuck out your foot and kicked a group of them to the side. Next you ran towards an opening only to be closed by more. Moana made her way up to the ship to rescue Hei-Hei that poor chicken, and to get the heart. When she finally got him she made her way down to the canoe. You were still struggling and kicking them here and there but only to be added more and more. You finally got a spark of your power, and you were furious with this behaviour. You kicked all of them out to the sea with victory in your eyes you kept clashing with them one by one or in groups all falling in the sea. Maui saw in awe and thought that you were the most awesome person there. You were defeating them and catching their blow dart in your hand before they touched your face. But of course your clumsiness got the best of you and you fell off the ship, but at least the water would have been nice, but instead there were a pile of blow darts on the bottom. You awaiting your pain, were caught by two strong arms. When you opened your eyes you saw that popular smirk of his staring at you. Oh how you loved that smirk, you giggled and he giggled back. Once you both made it to the boat in one piece you both started laughing. Moana looked at the both of you like you both were crazy. "Did you see how I kicked those kaka whatever's butt. They gonna be afraid of me," you said while dancing. Maui giggled and patted your hair, "yeah sure, you did amazing. You needed help from who, that's right the one and only Maui. So I am the hero here." "Hehe your right," you giggled. Then you came up on your tippy toes and kissed him on the cheek. "Thank you," you said. Maui looked at you with those loving eyes, "you're welcome."
