I curtsied out of respect for the three men.
Now that I was getting used to the corset and the idea that i had traveled back in time. (Though thats not really an idea you get used to so very easily...) I decided that I would have some fun.
"My dearest Grey, good morning! I hope your sleep was just as pleasant as mine." I sat down with a smug smile, my back straight and hands folded delicately in my lap.
I continued on, "Oh!" I exclaimed pretending to suddenly remember the events of the fore night, "how embarrassed I am! I had quite a dizzy spell yesterday, I pray you to forget. For I simply cannot forget your noble, heroic and adventurous deeds. Please sir I beg of you to pay no thought or continued worrying over my health. i am quite well, and besides," I stressed, "You must have more urgent perplexing problems to attend to."
I could tell he got the point. he sighed and sat down beside me. I resisted the urge to laugh, I could tell his clothes were irritating him and his tall collar causing him to sweat and itch.
"I beseech you Ma'am not to spend another moment thinking of my deeds. They were the deeds of a loyal friend nothing more."
Part of me sighed, I suppose I had wanted him to say somthing more romantic, we were after all, in the best romance setting of all time.
I stood up abruptly leaving him to grasp at nothing but the fringes of my gown.
"Are you so absorbed in you thoughts that you do not introduce me to our charming guests Mr.Grey? For aren't we guest here as well as them? Come gentleman, sit, talk and I shall see what I can do to fit your needs."
The one man smiled and gently kissed my glove, which made me blush.
"To grace us with your mere presence is more than I could have asked for when it comes to the needs of my heart."
Greyson rolled his eyes but I blushed feeling the heat burning on my cheeks.
The mans voice was so mellow, so soft so wonderful to listen to. "You do not mean such words sir," I laughed, "You say it only to arise false hopes in a poor innocent girl."
He smiled gently and pressed the palm of her hand, "Poor, no i think not. how can one be poor in the protection of Mr. Greyson? And innocent, no I think not. For even the most refined and elegant girls are never Innocent. You have secrets you keep I can see them in your eyes. Yes, I do think you keep too many secrets in those eyes of yours to be innocent."
I stared into his blue eyes deeply, marveling at the man who was so much alive. He had such a manner about him that I felt as if I just may have a "Dizzy spell" once again. To look at him and know that where I was from he was dead and rotting in the grave was enough to make her feel sick. But the more I looked at him the more I smiled.
Here he was the gentleman who not yet had a name but still had entranced me with bright blue eyes and curly blonde locks.
