Emily's PoV
I walk out of mine and Jasper's house the next morning, holding a book in my hands.
"What's that for?" He asks me.
I shrug and continue walking towards Bella and Edwards cottage.
I knock on there front door.
Bella opens it and hugs me tightly. I laugh.
"Have fun," I wink.
She rolls her eyes and hits my shoulder.
I giggle as Edward walks up to the door and Jasper walks up behind me.
"Why are you here?" Bella asks.
"Well I'm gonna go fetch my baby boy, thought you might want to come see you little girl," I say.
She nods and walks out, grabbing my arm.
I laugh, "Race you there."
She then disappears.
"Hey, not fair Bella," I yell, rushing after her.

We arrive and I rush into the living space.
"Ha. I beat you," I state.
She glares and pushes me, before laughing. I roll my eyes. We then turn to see the rest of the family.
"Wummy," a little toddler whines.
"Duty calls," I state walking over to Matthew.
I pick him up and he starts laughing and giggling.
"Hello baby," I coo.
I then take a seat at the table, placing my book on the table. I place Matthew in my lap and he starts playing with a few wooden blocks on the table. Edward and jasper arrive.
I play with Matthew while Emmett makes a inappropriate comment.
"Wow. Done already?" He asks.
We all stare at him and I roll my eyes, a pick up the book, lobbing it at him.
I then hear Jasper, "so that's why you have the book."
I grin.
"Where's Renesmee?" Bella asks.
"Blondie stole her," Jake states watching Rosalie from the window.
"Break a lot of stuff?" Emmett asks us.
"Emmett," Bella says, "No."
I laugh, "think what you want Emmett."
He then laughs.
Suddenly it goes quite and the phone rings loudly.
"Is that Charlie?" Bella and I ask.
Edward nods, "He's been calling twice a day."
"He's in pretty rough shape," Jacob states.
Carlisle speaks up, "Eventually, we'll have to tell him you both didn't make it."
Edward turns to Bella and I, "He needs to mourn."
I sigh, "okay."
Bella nods, "we'll do it tomorrow."
"I'm gonna miss this place," Emmett states, standing up.
Carlisle sighs, "We'll come back. We always do."
Jacob stops eating and turns to us, "Wait. Nobody said anything about leaving."
Carlisle breathes in, "Once people believe Bella and Emily are dead, we can't risk anyone seeing them."
Jacob scoffs, "So you just disappear?"
"Jacob, we don't have another choice," Edward informs him.
I look at Jacob sympathetically.

Jacob returns a little while later, telling us that he told Charlie about himself and that both Bella and I are okay.
"Look, I solved a problem. You were leaving. What did you expect me to do?" Jacob asks.
I growl at him, "You don't realize the danger you've put him in."
"The Volturi will kill anyone who knows about us," Bella states.
Jacob shakes his head, "No, I didn't tell him about you. Just me. I only said you were different."
Edward, "And that we have a niece who we adopted."
"Right and I adopted a little boy," I state.
"I mean, seriously, Jake, he's not just gonna let that go," Bella yells at him pissed.
"Did you consider the physical pain he'll put Bella and Emily through?" Edward asks, "It'll be like sticking a white hot branding iron down their throat. And that's assuming they can control their thirst."
Jacob stares at me and Bella, "Look, Charlie's been in hell. And I know you'll be much happier with him in your life."
Edward scoffs, "Jacob, don't try and pretend you're doing this for anyone but yourself."
Jacob turns to him, "Sorry you feel that way because he'll be here in 10 minutes."
"What?" Me and Bella shout in sync.
I stand up, "for fuck sake."
Bella follows me inside.
"What the bloody hell are we gonna do?" I ask her.
She shrugs and drags me into the living room.
Alice hands me some contact lenses, "put them on."
I nod and walk up to a mirror placing the brown over my golden eyes.
Alice then helps Bella put hers on, "These will irritate your eyes at first."
"They are more than irritating," I state.
Alice rolls her eyes.
Carlisle then gives us advice, "The main thing is not to move too fast."
Esme nods, "Try taking a seat. Crossing your legs."
I nod and walk over to the couch and sit down, crossing my legs with ease.
Bella stands up and zooms across the room and sits down on the seat with a slam.
We all stare at her, and I burst out laughing.
"Shut up, Emily, you've had more practice at this than me," she says.
I rolls my eyes.
Alice then tells us, "blink at least three times a minute."
Me and Bella instantly start blinking.
Alice gives us an unconvincing reply. And Jake insults us, so I give him the finger.
Jasper then states, "Hold your breath. It will help with the thirst."
Edward chips in, "Just don't forget to move your shoulders so it looks like you're breathing."
Me and Bella then both move our shoulders. I mean I was breathing a little because of my power, so I didn't need to try as hard as Bella.
Rose then walks in.
"And don't sit so straight. Humans don't do that," she informs us.
Bella stands up extremely overwhelmed, "Okay. I got it. Move around, blink, slouch."
I listen carefully and hear a car pull up. I then walk into the other room and sit down along with Bella. We then wait for Charlie.
"Bella? Emily?" Charlie asks, as he enters the room.
"Hi, Dad," I say as Bella smiles .
"Are you both okay?" He asks.
I nod.
Bella replies, "Never better. Healthy as a horse. "
Charlie then hesitantly asks us, "You don't turn into an animal, too, do you?"
We smile but shake our head.
Edward speaks up, "Let's give them some privacy."
Everyone then leaves the room.
"Uh, Jake said that this... This was necessary. What does that mean?" Charlie asks.
Bella, "I really think it would be better..."
Charlie then cuts her off, "I wanna know what happened to you, both of you."
I sigh, "we can't tell you."
Charlie scoffs, "I think I deserve an explanation."
Bella looks down, "You do. But if you really need one, we can't stay here."
Charlie then stands up, extremely angry, "Oh, come on! No! No more going away!"
Bella then speaks up as Charlie calms down, "Dad, you're just gonna have to trust that for whatever reason, we're all right."
I nod, "we're more than all right. Can you live with that?"
"Can I lived with that?" Charlie asks, "Well, I don't know, Bella, Emily. I mean, I just watched a kid I've known his entire life turn into a very large dog. My daughters look like my daughters. But don't."
Bella sighs, "Can you please just believe that I'll tell you anything that you need to know?"
"And I don't need to know this?" Charlie asks.
I shake my head, "No. Really, you don't."
Charlie nods, "Well... Not gonna lose you again. I can't. "
Bella then sits up slightly, "Then you won't. I promise."
Charlie then hugs both of us.
Charlie, "I missed you both. So much."
"We missed you too, Dad," Bella states.
Edward and Jasper walk in.
Edward walks up to Charlie, "This is Renesmee."
"Your niece?" He asks.
Edward smiles, "And daughter."
Charlie sighs, "Right. The adoption."
He then looks at Renesmee, "Renee-semee? She's got your eyes, Bella. Need to know, I guess."
Charlie then looks at me, and sees that I'm now holding a toddler.
"And who's this?"
"This is Matthew, Jasper and I adopted him," I stated.
Dad smiles at me, before he moves to leave.

We then go outside and jasper decides to actually speak up for once, "Well done, Bella. Never seen a newborn show that kind of restraint."
"I'm not sure she is a newborn. She's so tame," Emmett states.
Edward warns him, "Emmett, don't antagonize her. She's the strongest one in the house."
"That's bullshit and you know it," I state.
They all stare at me.
"Well I'm the one who's half human and half vampire, pretty sure I'm stronger than Bella," I inform.
Emmett then walks of into the forest and returns with a massive rock.
"Don't hurt yourself, Emmett," Edward shouts, grinning.
Bella and Emmett then get into position.
Jasper calls out, "All right. On 3."
"3!" I yell, hugging Jasper.
Bella instantly beats Emmett. And turns to me grinning. I roll my eyes.
"C'mon then Em, let's see who's better once and for all," Bella teases.
Huffing I push Emmett out of the way.
Me and Bella then get into position.
Jasper then counts to three. And we start at first Bella looks as though she is gonna beat me. But I let my eyes turn black, staring at her. She narrows her eyes at me, and I pull her hand up and force it onto the rock. It smashes on impact and Bella instantly let's go of my hand. I stand up straight and close my eyes breathing in steadily.
Bella approaches me, "Emily are you okay? Your eyes turned black."
I open my eyes and look at her, " I'm fine, just make sure I don't do that again unless I need to kill someone, I felt like I was being possessed slightly."
Everyone gives me a hesitant look.
"I'm fine," I snap before rushing off into the forest.
