This is a request. A red leader x shy! Reader. I kinda just love how it rhymes, though. Also, a slight Edd x reader too.

•Art is not mine•

Characters: Red leader (of course), Paul, Patryk, Green Leader (Edd), Matt, Tom

Gender: Non-specific

WARNINGS: None

You were working as the Green Leader's assistant, running errands and such as per usual. Though, you never fully understood why he had hired you of all people. You were so shy and always quiet. Maybe that's why he liked you? Perhaps he liked that he had someone that could talk to him? So it was kind of a plus job to work as a personal therapist.

I guess this was enough to call you a friend of his? You weren't really sure on what you could call your relationship with him. I mean, he did make Tom and Matt secure your safety around the perimeter at all times, but that could just be because finding another person to fill in the job would take too unnecessarily long. At least, that's what you thought.

Currently, you were walking along the halls of the Green Army base. Green Leader had dismissed you until he required your assistance, so you were off on a break.

It was quite tiring having to look at the same floors, and the same walls, and the same rooms. It was getting boring. And you don't take that word lightly either, as you had always found something to entice your amusement. You were well known around the Green Army and were greatly trusted amongst your workers. Perhaps you could abuse this power for a bit?

No, no. You weren't going to do anything bad. You were just going to see if there was any possible chance that you could wander around outside for a bit, since it's prohibited from any other member, besides the field agents, Matt and Tom.

It wasn't like you to usually push yourself into mischievous acts, but you needed to quench that thirst for some adventure, I guess you could say.

Acting as normal as you possibly could, you took the elevator to the base level. That's where the exit was. And ah, yes. It was guarded by two security guards-just as you had thought. It might take some convincing. Or perhaps, some sneaking?

You giggled slightly to yourself. Gosh, you could feel the excitement and adrenaline pumping through your veins. Well, might as well do this before your anxiety kicks in!

You've walked everywhere around this building and already know it like the back of your hand. Hey, you had great memory!

There was a vent in the building that lead to a door around the back that hadn't been properly secured for years now. Why they hadn't fixed that was unbeknownst to you. Also, why hadn't you told them? Maybe you weren't as loyal as you thought you were.

Pulling off the metal hatchet as quietly as you possibly could, you snuck into the small vent, careful to not make a sound to attract any sort of unwanted attention toward yourself. Today was oddly quiet. It was almost a little too eerily silent for your liking. Especially since you're more vulnerable to being found out in the silence.

As you navigated your way through the vents, you heard the sound of large boots clacking against the floor below you. Your breath hitched in your throat as you could feel your heart palpitating rapidly in your chest. It may have been quiet before, but now you could tell that something was very much wrong. The silence was unbearable.

You shook your head and continued to crawl.

The sounds of metal clanking made you realise that the vent beneath you was starting to give out. Scrambling to make it to a more stable part only caused it to creak more due to the weight before the hinges popped right out, causing you to fall down.

Groaning in pain, you rolled over to be met with two surprised looks from men adorned in suspiciously red uniforms. Once it clicked, you were about to scream out when a large, gloved hand covered your mouth. You whimpered slightly and visibly shook.

"Right, Patryk. So what do we do about this one? They look pretty cute, so I'd hate to kill them." A man with large, thick eyebrows spoke up, his voice rough and husky.

"Red Leader wouldn't like if we caused attention to ourselves around this area, so it's best if we just take them with us, Paul." Another man with short-length hair that framed his face, spoke. "Besides, they could be somebody important. Someone we could obtain information from."

You shivered under their heavy gazes as they turned to look at you. "Sorry, love. But we're going to have to borrow you for a bit."

The confusion was evident on your face, but you once understood when they held out a large bag and scooped you up into it. As much as you had tried to scream out for help, it was no use and probably too late as well. The bag seemed to be made out of a thick material that muffled anything. Huh. Smart.

It was a little over 20 minutes when you were promptly thrown onto the ground, causing you to fall out the bag and land on your chin. "Owowow..." you winced slightly in pain, scrunching your eyes.

"Paul! I told you to be more careful!" The man supposedly Patryk had scolded. "Sorry, sorry. My hand was just getting too tired," he grumbled back in response. He didn't look that sorry, however.

Fluttering your eyes open, you were met with a pair of black boots. You lifted your gaze up slightly to be met with a familiar looking face.

"So, (name) (surname). You did good, boys. You're off on duty since you found a rather important person."

The two men gave each other confused glances but shrugged before shuffling away, leaving you alone with the big boss himself. You gulped at the silence that made itself present in the room. His aura was very intimidating and you could practically feel the harshness of his eyes piercing the back of your head.

Gingerly, you sat up and searched frantically for an exit.

You felt a large, gloved hand pat your head, and you shivered, slightly from embarrassment. "You're not gonna escape, starling. This place is as secure as a Swiss bank." (Okay, okay, y'all keep calling me out on this bc Swiss banks ain't that secure bUT I WAS TRYNA MAKE A MYSTIC MESSENGER REFERENCE YA DOOFS)

He brushed his fingers lightly across your jaw and gripped your chin, lifting it to meet his icy gaze. He smirked and scoffed softly, brushing his thumb over your lips. "You're pretty cute," he admitted aloud.

This caused your cheeks to involuntarily flush and your heart to start pounding spasmodically in your chest. You couldn't pull your eyes away from his- they were so alluring and mysterious. But it was partly because you'd be too scared of his reaction if you were to pull away.

Noticing your lack of reply, he grinned. "Shy one, aren't you?" He teased in that husky, Norwegian accent of his. It sent tingles down your spine whenever he spoke, and you couldn't help but flush even more. But feeling more brave than before, you spoke up, "What am I doing here?"

He chuckled lightly and pulled his hand away from your face, standing up straight again, making you feel small and quite frankly, intimidated by his exquisite posture. "Why, I thought you'd had known. I want information about the Green Leader, of course."

He begun to pace the room slowly and tapped his chin in thought. "You're his personal assistant too, so you're bound to know all his juicy secrets. And," he spoke without hesitance, "I've developed a fair interest in you, (surname)."

Your cheeks had darkened it's shade and you couldn't help but to stumble over your words. "M-me? What about uh, me, Red Leader? T-there's nothing interesting to know!" You spluttered in embarrassment.

Why were you so embarrassed, however? He could have just wanted more information to find out your weaknesses and to take over the Green Leader's army. Yes, you were sure of that. There was no doubt about it.

You looked up in astonishment when you heard a soft chuckle ripple through the air and a gloved hand in your face. "Gosh, that's adorable. Come with me." He outstretched his arm as a gesture for you to take it as you stared at his palm dumbly before gingerly placing your hand in his. "And also, call me Tord." (I swear to fucking fuckity fuck one of y'all make another joke about the "a Tord" autocorrect imma fucken shank you so hard you're probs gonna enjoy it.)

"Ah...alright, then," you muttered sheepishly to yourself as he pulled you up from your seating position. You pat yourself down from the non-existent dust and looked back at Red Leader, observing him. He was a strange guy. You've only just met and he's already taken a liking to you. Was this really the same guy who once infiltrated the Green base? Him? You couldn't quite figure him out.

His thick voice snapped you out of your current thoughts as he clicked his fingers to bring attention to your mindless state. "Earth to (surname). This is Captain Tord speaking." He grinned amusedly and watched your eyes flutter. A look of confusion washed over your features and you couldn't help but to blush from being caught staring, which you hadn't known you were doing in the first place.

"I truly am a sight to see, huh?" He joked and snorted to himself.

"N-no..! I mean, yes, but I swear I wasn't staring- okay, I was, but it wasn't intentional. I'm sorry," you spluttered out your apology helplessly and in barely a hushed whisper before trailing off. It didn't help that his grin only broadened seeing you so flustered around him. You cursed your awkward, anxiety-fuelled self for having made this happen. God, you were a wreck.

He pat your back in a friendly manner and laughed. "You're a funny one, (surname)," he grinned at you. You could only huff in response and look down embarrassedly.

"Hey! You know what's a good idea? Let's go call your boss! How's that, eh? I'm sure he's dying to know where his assistant is!" He guffawed and ushered you welcomingly to an office, a golden plate with 'Red Leader' engraved into it  on the door.

The Red Leader felt excitement bubble up inside of him as he could use this to his advantage.

Hastily flicking a switch off the side of a large holographic screen, he dialled up the Green base. Which presumably had  been hacked to get that number.

Not a second had passed when Green Leader popped up, a frantic and dishevelled face in your sights. "Red Leader! Are you responsible for the disappearance of my assistant?" He groaned and rubbed his temples tiredly.

"Goodness. You look like a mess, Edd. It's only been a few hours and here you are, already crying helplessly without your assistant," he mimicked him, mockingly.

Edd pointed an angry finger to the screen. "Don't talk to me as if you know who I am. Where are they?!"

The anger and desperation in his eyes. Wow. He actually does care for you. Maybe it was just you, but you felt a happiness swell inside the pit of your stomach.

Red Leader clicked his tongue uninterestedly. "Don't worry, they're safe. And look, they're right here with me!" He smirked and pulled you right by his side to be in the screen's view, causing you to squeak in response to the sudden action.

Edd felt his anger slowly dissipate, seeing as you weren't harmed. However, he still held that same sharp edge in the tone of his voice. "Well, I would like if you could please return them back to me." His voice held a twinge of impatience and you could practically hear his teeth grind in annoyance.

Tord burst into a fit of laughter and wiped away a stray tear. "Oh, Edd. You know it's not that easy. Besides, I like their company," he purred into your ear. A shiver ran down your spine and you couldn't help to blush and look away. He chuckled softly and murmured a soft 'cute'.

He looked back up at Edd through the screen, whom was now fuming. "Red! Give them back, or else..!

"That's hilarious. But, no. I think I'm going to keep them for myself." He winked at the screen before ending the visual phone call after ending with a, "They're my cute comrade."

Before Edd could input anything more, the screen had gone blank and the room was quiet once again.

What had you got yourself into?

:P I'm impressed. I've honed the writing skills of a true preschooler. Damn, I'm boring.

Anyway, just be aware since I haven't edited this story. So, if you see any punctual or grammatical errors, please do tell me.
