"Dylan?"
I barely got the word out of my mouth. She burst in, leaned forward and kissed me.

I woke up with the pillow over my face and the smell of bacon comming from downstairs. I got out of my bed and went down the steps. "Good Morning!" I said.
"Morning!" Came a female voice.
"Whats for breakfast?"
"Bacon and eggs." Said my mother turning around.
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
"Where's Dylan?"
"What do you mean?"
"She came over last night right after you left!"
"No you got off the phone with her and then... fell asleepon the couch then... I carried you up to your bed."
She turned her back to me. "Your not a light boy anymore!" She added.
"No... she was here," I protested. "She burst through the door..."
My mother turned around, "Sweetie I haven't been out of the house since Friday."
I stood where I was unmoving.
"Ashton?"
"...."
"Are you running a temperature?" My mother asked putting her hand against my forehead.
"You... are... Are you sure she didn't come over... not even for a bit?"
"No, sweetie. she didn't." She turned to walk away. "I'm sorry Ashton."
So it was all just a dream?
