One day soon
I will die
and my body shall cease to grace
the world of the presence of
its movement
with its flowing blood
from its pumping heart
of its moving muscle mass.
One day soon
I will breathe
no more, as my lungs fail
to take in the rich
oxygen atmosphere
surrounding its host
and assisting in the transportation
of new life throughout the planet.
One day soon
my eyes will close
through no fault of my own
as the organs within me cease
their living
and my thoughts will race
beyond trivial regrets and self doubts,
and fears and loathing.
One day soon
I will die
and live no more.
