IU's POV
We chatted as we walked towards his car, and I bit on my lip thoughtfully.
"Soo," I said as we came to a stop. "Where do you wanna go?"
"Oh, right. There was this-"
He was cut off by a muffled gurgling sound. He turned around, trying to find the source of it.
"What was that? Did you hear....?" he slowly trailed off as he saw me ducking my head with one hand on my abdomen.
"Wow. Your stomach can sing opera. That's amazing." he said, with one eyebrow raised, evidently impressed with my newfound talent.
"Shut up." I muttered, my cheeks flaming.
"Let's go have a snack. Besides," he interrupted, as I started to protest. "I'm kinda hungry too." He grabbed my hand and we walked toward his car.
I lived close to the school, and walked there every day and back every afternoon, so a car was unnecessary. Taehyung lived farther away, outside of walking distance, so he drove to school with Jungkook every morning. I think Jungkook had Jimin and J-Hope drop him off at wherever he lives today. Anyways, I don't care. Better if he's just stranded somewhere and dies.
Taehyung drove for a few minutes, and came to a stop outside a boba shop.
"Their boba tea is the best." he promised while we got out of the car.
The shop was small, clean, and the aroma of boba tea permeated the air. It was a very pleasant place.
"What flavor do you want?" he asked.
"Taro." I immediately chirped, without even looking at the menu.
"Okay. One taro and one mocha tea, please." he ordered, taking out money for it.
"I can pay for my own." I said, suddenly feeling like I gained one-too-many boyfriends. Not that I had any, because I was the nerd of the school.
"Nope. It's my treat today. I'll pay." he insisted, giving the cashier his money.
I sighed. "Aish, fine."
He grinned at my giving in and gave me my cup of boba tea.
He suddenly seemed to remember something, and pulled out his phone. "What's your number?" he asked.
It seemed rude to refuse that, especially after he had bought me the tea, so I gave him my number.
"Don't contact me too much, ok? I rarely use my phone, and that's only when there's an emergency." I warned him.
"Ok. I won't." he said as we exchanged numbers.
After we finished (which took a surprisingly long time), Taehyung drove me home and I went inside.
I was greeted by Suzy leaning on the wall inside the doorway, smirking, with her arms crossed.
Sighing in defeat, I held up my hands. "Arasseo. Fire away. I'll answer all of them."
She took a deep breath.
"When did you meet him? Are you in the same class? What do you know about him? Is he really sweet and nice? Why was he in our house? And, lastly. Are you two dating?!"
She looked like a little kid that discovered Christmas was coming early this year in anticipation of my answer.
"I met him this week, at school. We are in the same class. He likes a lot of things I do. He is a really nice person." I looked at the ceiling, trying to remember all the questions she had fired at me point-blank.
"Oh, right. He was in our house because I needed to check on something, so he drove me here before we went out together. And no, we're not dating. Just friends."
Aish, jinjja. I was getting a little too good at remembering things, because of this Q&A routine.
She stared at me, dumbfounded. "You just said that he asked you out....but then you said you aren't together...?"
"Oh, he asked me in class, but it wasn't as a date. I think." I added hastily at the look on her face.
"Right. Definitely not as a date." she said sarcastically.
I told her about our afternoon after we left the house.
"So you spent two hours in a freaking boba shop?" she exclaimed after I finished talking. "What a mood killer." she pouted.
I went to smack her on the head, but she dodged, laughing and dancing out of my reach.
"I'll get you, you pabo!" I laughed, chasing after her and picking up a slipper along the way.
