Chapter 57
Ezra
I was laying in the bed with my little newborn chilling. She look like a mixed baby, I guess because Giselle mixed with Puerto Rican, Indian, and black. She have a head full of hair too. I can’t really tell her eye color because it look like they change from green to hazel sometimes. She’s really pretty and I love her already.
My phone started ringing and I grabbed it to see Bella name flash across the screen. Oh shit.
“What’s up.” I said answering the phone.
“I’m at your house.” Zoey said.
“Why?”
“You need a reason to see your daughter?”
“Nah, I was just asking. Hold on.” I said hanging the phone up.
I grabbed Kayla out of the bed and went downstairs to open the door for her.
I opened the door and Zoey just stared at Kayla in my arms.
“Come in.” I said to her.
Zoey walked in with Alyssa and we went and sat on the couch.
Alyssa just stared at me.
“Come here Alley.” I said to her.
She came and sat next to me on the couch.
“This your little sister Kayla.” I said looking at her.
“Mommy didn’t have a baby.” Alyssa said.
Zoey laughed sarcastically and I looked at her.
“No she didn’t, this Gigi and I daughter.” I said.
She looked at me confused.
“Do mommy know you have a baby wif Gigi?” Alyssa asked.
I smiled. “Yes, she know.”
“So I’m is a big sister?”
“Yes, you’re a big sister.” I said.
“Gigi don’t like me dad.”
“Don’t worry about Gigi, you a big sister now.” I said.
She smiled.
I really don’t want my kids growing up not liking each other because they got different mothers so I’ll try to keep them as close as I can. I don’t want Alyssa thinking I love her less because I got another daughter. I love them both equally.
Zoey just sat there staring at us.
“Why you just sitting there like that?” I asked her.
“What am I supposed to do?” she asked.
“Nothing mane.” I said shaking my head.
“Mommy look at sister.” Alyssa said playing with Kayla in my arms.
Zoey got up and sat beside me and looked at Kayla.
“She’s gorgeous.” Zoey said with a half smile.
I looked at her and I knew it was hurting her and I felt bad.
“I’m sorry baby.” I said.
The front door opened and Giselle walked in. Damn, I gotta get that key from her. Shit I keep forgetting.
“Umm…what the hell?” Giselle walking in and staring at me and Zoey.
“She lives with you?” Zoey said looking at me.
“Nah bae.” I said standing up.
Giselle rolled her eyes at Zoey then grabbed Kayla out of my arms.
“I’m gonna go before she piss me off.” Bella said standing up.
“Wait, come here.” I said grabbing her hand and going into the kitchen.
“What?” She said with an attitude.
“Why you got an attitude with me?” I said looking at her.
“Why is she living with you? Are ya’ll sleeping in the same bed?”
“No, now stop with all that shit. I don’t love her and hell nah we ain’t sleeping in the same bed. She don’t live here, I just keep forgetting to get my key from her. I love you, I honestly do.” I said.
“Whatever E.” she said.
Her phone started ringing and she was about to answer it but I grabbed it from her and looked to see that it was Kyron.
She just stared at me with a blank expression.
I answered it.
“What you want with my girl?” I said.
“Stop it.” Zoey said reaching for her phone.
I held her so she couldn’t reach for it.
“Let me talk to her.” Kyron said.
“Nah, don’t be calling my girl phone. Ain’t nothing over here for you bruh.” I said.
“Alright, I’ll call another time.” He said hanging up.
I sat her phone on the counter and pulled her to my chest while my hands rested on her waist.
“Let me go E.” Zoey said staring at me.
I smiled at her.
“You don’t want me to let you go stop fronting. I wanna work this shit out between us.” I said.
“Are you really trying to have this conversation with me while your baby mama in the next room?”
“I don’t give a fuck about her, I do what the fuck I want to do. I don’t wanna talk about her baby damn, I wanna work this shit out between me and you.”
“You got a long way to go.” She said.
“Come on with that bullshit damn.”
She laughed.
“Whatever, I have to go. Bring my baby back home before it’s too late okay?” she said.
“Yes ma’am.” I said letting her go and leaving out the kitchen with her.
“Alley give mommy a hug because I’m about to go.” Zoey said.
Alyssa ran over and gave Bella a hug.
“I love you mommy.” Alyssa said.
“Love you too.” Zoey said.
I watched as Zoey walked over to Giselle and I was hoping nothing bad was about to happen.
“Let me tell you this right now, if you say anything out of line or even mistreat my daughter I will hurt your ass. That is a promise, you have destroyed a lot of shit and I’m tired of your ass. If Alyssa come home tonight and tell me you did something to her, that’s your ass. I mean it, now do we have an understanding?” Zoey said.
Damn, she a boss.
“Yes.” Giselle said.
Mane G looked a little nervous to tell the truth.
“You have a cute baby by the way, too bad you aren’t that good looking.” Zoey said smiling and turning to leave.
I walked out behind her.
“So what’s up with us?” I said.
“We’ll talk, I have somewhere to be.” She said getting in her car and leaving.
“Alright.” I said.
Mane, I miss the shit out of her and she miss me too so she need to quit acting like she don’t.

I was laying on the couch at my place talking to Brea about everything. It’s 11:30 at night and I just put Alyssa to bed.
“You and E back together?” Brea asked smiling at me.
“Hell no, nothing close to it.” I said laughing.
“Whatever, that’s ya baby.”
I smiled.
“He used to be.” I said.
“Umhmm, I’m about to go to sleep lil mama.” Brea said.
“Goodnight.” I said watching her get up and leave.
“Night.” She said.
As I was getting comfortable watching tv there was a knock on the door. I rolled my eyes and got up to go answer it.
It was Ezra.
“What the hell are you doing back here?” I said.
He smiled at me and walked in closing the door. I just stared at him.
“You got another nigga in here?” Ezra said.
“No stupid, I was laying on the couch.”
“Missing me?”
“Not at all.” I said.
“Come sit down, and let’s talk.” He said walking over to the couch and sitting down. He pulled me down beside him.
“Damn this couldn’t wait for another day?” I said looking at him.
“Hell nah.” He said.
“Well, what’s up?”
“Are we gonna get back together and work this shit out?”
I looked at him.
“Shouldn’t you be with your baby mama?” I said.
“Nah, I’m right where I wanna be.” He said staring me in the eyes.
“Let’s just take things slow because I don’t know just yet.”
“Baby I don’t have patience right now, it’s been months and I need you more than anything.”
You know what…I believe everything he’s telling me and I do still trust him. I still love him too and I never will stop. Nobody in this world is gonna take his spot and he knows that just like I know no other girl is going to replace me. He will never find another girl to love him like I love him and he knows that.
“I love you…I really do but…” I stopped and stared at him.
“But what?”
“I don’t know.” I said getting up from the couch.
“Baby talk to me.” He said.
“Maybe you should go.” I said walking to my room to get my phone.
I didn’t realize he followed me until I heard the door close.
“Bae, I really want to talk to you.” He said walking over to me and grabbing my phone.
He turned it off.
“We are talking.” I said.
“I love you Zoey, and I don’t want nobody else cause can’t nobody deal with me like you. Nobody else knows me like you…and nobody in this world is gonna love me like you. I been feeling real empty without you. You know exactly what the hell you did to me and I understand why you did it now. I know I made the biggest mistake ever but that still don’t change the way I feel about you. You had every right to leave and I’m not mad at you for it cause I know you’re a strong person and you showed me that when you left. I know you like the back of my hand and whether you like it or not you know I’m the only person you want to be with it cause ain’t no other nigga gonna love you like me.”
A single tear rolled down my cheek. He knows me too well.
“I love you so much.” I said.
He wiped my face.
“Baby lets work this shit out, are you gonna try?” he asked.
“Yes, I am.” I said.
He lifted my chin and gave me the sweetest kiss on the lips. I wrapped my arms around him and he held me so tight like never before.
I missed my baby.
“I love you.” E said.
“I love you too.” I said.
You know what our kiss got so intense one thing led to another. I wasn’t planning to have sex with him but it happened. It’s been so long since I even had sex, it felt so amazing and it was with the person I love so much.
It wasn’t just sex, it was love making cause he did it like he never did it before. I can’t even explain it all but my baby put it down and after we finished we just laid in the bed holding each other.
For the first time in a long time I felt like I had my other half again.
We’re definitely gonna work our problems out no matter what or who try to stand in our way.
