"This is going to be so much fun" Mary squeals while we drive over to my house
"Calm down its just a sleepover" Kate rolls her eyes
We pull up to my drive way.
I really hope this goes well.
"It's not haunted right" Kate asks me again
"No" I lie
We get out and they grab their bags, I unlock the door I don't see Luke anywhere he must be in the basement.
"Make yourself at home" I say, I hear Kate scoff
"It's a nice house I didn't really get a good look that night but it's pretty I actually always wanted to come in this house" Mary says
"My mom always told me to stay away from this house" Kate says
"So uh what do people do at sleepovers?" I ask them
"Well we can watch movies eat junk food and just talk anything really" Mary shrugs
We go upstairs we all change into pajamas and put on pitch perfect.
I was actually having a good time.
I haven't seen Luke since this morning I hope he's okay?
" which color do you want?" Mary asks Kate
"Pink" Kate says Mary starts painting her nails
I look up to see a shadow by the door then Luke comes into view.
"Hey" he says smiling
I give him a small smile.
I don't want to talk and have them ask who I'm talking to and seem like a crazy person.
"Having fun" he asks, I give him a thumbs up
"Can I sit for just a minute" he pouts, I nod my head
He walks over and sits on my bed.
"Where's your aunt?" Mary asks me
"She's working late" I tell her
"I bet it's creepy to be in this house all by yourself" Kate says
"At first but I've gotten used to it" I shrug and look at luke who's watching pitch perfect
"I don't think I could I would have nightmares every night" Kate shivers
I notice Luke expression look kind of sad.
"How's cheerleadering going?" I ask Kate changing the subject
"Well we just learned this new routine and-" she gets cut off by a noise
I look at Luke and he's looking at me.
"What was that" Mary whispers
"Probably nothing" I say but then I hear it again
"There's no one else in this house right" Mary asks I can tell she's trying not to freak out
"No just us" and Luke
"I'm not dying in this house" Kate says freaked out
I watch Luke walk over to the window and sighs " it just some high school boys throwing stuff at the window"
I walk over to the window and he's right "it's just Jeff and Eli" I sigh
"What are those idiots doing here"Kate rolls her eyes
Mary opens the window "girls only" Mary tells them
I look at Luke, he smirks at me I roll my eyes.
"Come on let us in" Eli says to us
"Yeah I want to see the haunted house" jeff yells
"I'll go let them in" Kate says going downstairs
"Is that okay? I don't want you to get in trouble with your aunt for having boys over" Mary asks
"Yeah it's okay I guess but they can't stay long" I say
"I don't think it's a good idea" Luke says to me
"Hello girls" Jeff's says walking into my room
"Hey" Eli says
"Hi guys" Mary greats them
"Hey" I say
"Have we missed the pillow fights yet" Jeff's says sitting on my bed I roll my eyes boys
"Why are you here" Kate asks them
"Now don't be that way" Jeff's fake pouts
"You have a nice room" Eli tells me
"Thanks" i say
"Why is most of your stuff still in boxes" Jeff asks me
"I haven't got around to unpacking them yet" I say
"Can you go get me a drink" Jeff asks me
"O the kitchen downstairs" I let him know
"Yeah I know where it is" he chuckles " but can you go get it please thanks"
"Don't be a jerk" Eli tells him
"She's the host" Jeff's says to him "she doesn't mind right Jess?"
"Wow he's a jackass" Luke shakes his head
"Um yeah I'll go get it" I say
I go downstairs Luke's following me.
"You didn't have to do what he said" Luke says
"I know but I was just being nice" I shrug
"I don't like him" Luke tells me
"I don't think anyone really likes him to be honest" I say as I grab a drink
"Your aunt will be home soon" he reminds me
"I know they probably aren't going to stay long"
"Hey" I jump
I turn around and see Eli
"O hey" I say
"I thought I heard you talking to someone" Eli says looking around
"Uh no just me" I try not look at Luke
"It's a nice house" he tells me
"Thanks"
He walks over and stands next to Luke.
"We just wanted to come by and see what you guys were doing. I hope we aren't intruding"
"No no it's fine" I give him a small smile
I see Luke looking at him silently judging him.
"Why don't we go back upstairs" I say
Even though Eli can't see Luke it's still makes me uncomfortable.
He nods.
I go back upstairs, Luke still following me but I don't mind he actually makes me feel safe as crazy as that sounds.
I do sometimes wonder if he's a figment of my imagination but even he is I like the company.
The guys stay for about a hour.
"Listen uh you guys better go before my aunt gets here" I tell them
"Later girls" jeff says getting up and walking downstairs
"Bye" Eli smiles at Mary and Kate
"I'll text you tomorrow" Mary tells Eli, he smiles at her
I walk downstairs with the guys.
"I'll see you in the car" Jeff smirks at me and Eli before walking to the car
"Sorry again for crashing your sleepover" Eli laughs
"It's okay" I tell him
I feel Luke looking at me and Eli.
"Maybe we can go do something just me and you" Eli says to me
"O um yeah that would be fun" I say trying not to blush
"Great. Bye" he gives me a kiss on the cheek and then leaves
"I'm going to go to bed I'll see you tomorrow" Luke gives me a fake smile and heads to the basement door
