I don't know what to do my homework is due tomorrow and I hate asking my brothers. I guess I have no choice but to ask mom, dads going to be home soon so I have to ask her now.
"Mom?"
"Yes dear?" Mom asked, by the sounds of it she was getting dinner ready.
"What can you tell me about....mates and the mating process?" I said quietly
"Why?" Oh no that Mom/Alpha tone.
"For school. We have to write a paper on mating, asking family only and I don't want to wait for dad." I answer quickly.
"Oh Hun why not ask one of your brothers?" I start to pout.
"Call and ask Jace or Jake, or try to get a hold one of my many siblings, No thanks." I start to walk away.
"Wait, sit down and ask away."
So I do as I'm told.
After about 2 hours, and a weird dinner, dad didn't know why i was asking about mates. My homework was done, I found out the boys were still at a party, one I will be at soon enough.
"Mom where's Seth, Josh, Jace and Jake?" asking about my twin brothers, and 5 and 1 year old brothers.
"At Uncle Trent's, he's taking us camping tomorrow don't you remember?" I forgot we got to go to Trent's only when his alpha says yes.
"Are they staying the night?"
"Yes Lyra why do you ask?"
"I want to get my time on the Xbox 360, I have not been online in a while." I had to lie if mom, No, If dad found out I was sneaking out he would personally kill me.
I'm only 15, I know they don't want me to drink. Also they didn't want me to have a boyfriend, which I got.
He's my mate, Max, he's 17 and he was sneaking me into the party, were going to get drunk.
"Well I'm going to play, maybe an hour, Ill be up early, so I can play with Natalie around midnight." I said
"Why so late?"
"She's on a trip remember?"
"Oh forgot"
"Ok well night"
"Night"
I didn't even get on, Nat would be at the party. Another little lie, she got back yesterday. So I got ready, it's 6:50 he will be picking me up in 10 Min's. As if on cue he texted me.

I quickly texted back and finished my hair, doing lite make up I was done. Locking my door I head to my window and open it.
I quickly but quietly started out my window, glad I had a balcony. I fell and he caught me. Such a gentleman. So we got into his car, went the 2 blocks and parked at his house. The party is his best friends, His birthday party.
It looked like the whole young half of the pack was here, well I can tell that they are, everyone knew Daniel. He's the next Robin Williams. next thing I know were heading in.
"Hey sexy, want to have fun tonight? Just you and me?" this ugly skank asked Max, he nods his head at me, he's shy, so she turns to me.
"Can I borrow your hot sexy brother for a few?" she has a nasally voice.
"Uh......he's not my brother"
"Oh your uncle? dad? getting warmer?"
"Shut up Nadine, that's the alphas daughter be nice." Said Daniel walking up to us. I give him a smile.
She huffed and walked away, swaying her hips, badly to the music.
"Thanks Danni, Happy Birthday." Me and Max say at the same time.
"No Problemo. Now what brings you to my part of town?"
"Uh my side to doofus." Max says.
"Were here for you." I say slapping Max on the arm.
"Nice well kitchen that way." He smiles "Go get drinks, Meet me in my room in 10 Min's, were playing truth or dare." He smiles bigger. I wont say dare.
The next song to come on is mine, Linkin Park - Waiting For The End. I squeal. Max grabs my hand and walked towards the kitchen, the music was softer here, I heard moaning coming from a closet.
I could tell it was Nadine, so I swung open the door, I instantly wish I hadn't. My poor Innocent eyes, Ruined FOREVER.
One of my oldest brothers had the "dirt" up around his waist, butt to me, against the wall.
"EWW IM TELLING MOM." I laugh and run.
"GET YOUR A*S BACK HERE NOW!" Nick comes running after me, I can hear him trying to pull up his pants.
"Oh crap." I hear from upstairs. "PARTY'S OVER MY PARENTS ARE COMING HOME EARLY RUN!" Danni yells, kids fly every which way, some grabbing the cans near them, others grabbing garbage. Trying to clean fast. Danni ran out the doors to try to stall them, so we can clean. Me and Max grabbed the 2 coolers, that's all that was left, and ran to his house, luckily his parents were gone, this would be hard to explain.
About an hour later I decided to head home. I just hoped mom and dad didn't come to check on me.
Running home I could sense something was wrong, I sped up when I seen cops, outside my parents house. Crap they called the cops because I was missing. I seen my brothers, staring into the house, a paramedic was coming out followed by a stretcher and another paramedic. I started to cry, my moms hand was hanging off, I could tell from her ring. I knew father was next then. Also Fatso, our dog, a lab, came running over to me.
"LYRA" they yell and swarm me into a hug.
"Uh...I stayed at max's for a while sorry." I was still crying so they knew I knew.
"WHAT?" uh oh.
"Uncle Trent what happened here?" I ask, I had stopped crying for a sec.
"Mom, Dad...." Jake started
"They were killed by Rogues." Uncle Trent finished for him.
I could feel, I was crying again. My parents dead, the same ones I tried to stay away from, the ones I never said I love you to. The ones who gave birth to me, helped with homework. Gone. Forever. I was crying so much that my oldest brother, Nate picked me up.
After about an hour of nonstop crying I was tired, but I kept thinking, If Mom and Dad cant why should I? They were sleeping forever now. I hated the wolfs who killed them, the ones that took there lives so easily.
I could hear Trent tell me to sleep. But I couldn't not if they couldn't tuck me in. Poor Seth, he's only 1, he didn't get to see how nice, wonderful, our parents are.

Look at them mourning there parents. Oh well, by next month they will all be dead. I will be Alpha, start with the beta's and move up. It will happen.

Poor kids I'm trying to be strong for you.
"Officer?" I ask "Where are the kids going to stay?"
"Are you..." he looks threw his notebook. "Uncle Trenton?" He finally asks.
"Yes"
"With you then." he goes back to talking to his partners.
"Uncle Trent?" Little Josh heard. "Can we go I don't want to be here anymore."
"Ya go get your brothers and sister, I'll go get the van." I say turning around. Poor kids.
