JAEBUM NODDED to his students once again as they trudged past him, sad they had math second last period.
And again, he frowned upon noting that Amina wasn't among the gloomy children.
Neither was Jackson.
Jaebum foolishly assumed the worst and prevented himself from thinking straight for the whole hour. He was meant to be doing his task of lecturing the other children and his mind was occupied with flashes of Amina being sandwiched between a wall and the student he wasn't particularly fond of.
He mispronounced words and miscalculated equations and broke three pens by tapping them onto the table too forcefully. Jaebum was a nervous wreck and he had every right to fear.
For Jackson had locked himself and his best friend in a storage closet on the highest floor of the building and they were in that location for a long while.
