Sounds come down the hall. I quickly tuck my phone under my pillow. It's my dad. I frown as he slowly opens the door. "Im heading to bed." He whispers. I softly whisper, "ok." With my head to the floor. He tries to make me happy but it doesn't work. I'll never be happy if I'm living with him. He leaves the room. I lay down. Many thoughts running through my head. I wonder how my life would be if my mom was still alive and the fire never happened. I tear up at the thought. I take a deep breath to calm myself and try to go asleep. As I'm drifting into a deep sleep my phone dings again. Thinking the notification is just someone liking the tweet I was mentioned in, I ignore it.
