So I was reading a story by orgastic called how to be a girl and I got side track but also it's a really good read. I'm reading her other story called Goliath. It's pretty dope as well.

As we make our way to the gym, I look up at the decorations. Lilly had really out done herself this year. There were balloons the formed into intertwining hearts, twinkling lights, silk flower petals softly falling at the entrance, and paper heart shaped chandeliers. She even had a heart shaped fountain with floating candles in the middle of the floor. Good thing our gym was practically stadium big or it would look cluttered.
On the right side of the room I could see the buffet line and Simon standing next to the pastry table he was dressed up in his pirate costume from Halloween. Next to him I saw a young woman in skimpy black cocktail dress. I narrowed my eyes focusing in her. It was Brittany! He still took her after all that had said to him this afternoon. He clearly didn’t care about my feelings at all. I watched Brittany feed Simon a cookie. He grinned widely at her only making the raging sickness bubble inside me.
I felt Sebastian tug on my hand eager to get the dance floor. He’s sort like a toddler trying to get to the swings, so eager and impatient. I can see all eyes were on him and who could blame them he looked striking as Gatsby. If he was to be here with any other girl I would have felt a ping of jealousy, but he was here with me.
For a minute I just watched him jump around and be generally silly. I looked around it was apparently contagious, because girls and guys around started jumping around throwing their hands up and swaying their body to the rhythm. I threw back head and laugh as I joined in the fun. I could see Lilly and Brad dancing their way through the crowd of people. Well more like Lilly was dancing and dragging Brad along with her. Lilly’s eyes went wide as she looked at Sebastian, almost bulging out of her skull.
“Oh my goodness. No wonder you wanted to keep him a secret he is unbelievably gorgeous.” Lilly yelled over the music. She had completely let go of Brad’s hand, batting her lashes at Sebastian. I think in that moment she forgot she was with Brad, but Brad didn’t seemed to upset. He actually nodded agreeing with Lilly outburst. I felt Sebastian wrap his arms around my shoulders giving me as kiss on the cheek. Lilly and Brad awed and cooed. I knew then I was blushing like mad.
“Sebastian I would you like to meet my best friend Lilly Kurtz and her boyfriend Brad O’Connor.” Lilly waved her hand, Sebastian being the suave debonair man he is placed a kiss on the back of her hand. Lilly face flushed a bright red as she giggled uncontrollably. Sebastian shook Brad’s hands and gave simple nod.
Right on cue Rory started waving at us ushering us to the table, where she and River were sitting. River keeping his sour disposition took another swig of his drink. I had to assume he was down alcohol because the idea of spending a night with his sister was that repulsing. When we reached the table, Rory’s mouth nearly hit the floor.
“That’s Sebastian?” she squealed squeezing my shoulder.
I nodded biting my bottom lip. I heard River snort, both Lilly and Rory shot him a deathly glare.
“Sebastian I would like you to met Rory Kingsley, my best friend since second grade and her date River Lascher.” I chimed as Sebastian kissed Rory’s hand just he had done with Lilly. River gave a simple nod then took another long swig.
“Have you seen Nathan and Cali anywhere?” I ask searching the room for any sign of Cleopatra and Anthony costumes. Rory shook her head.
“They should’ve been here by now.” I sighed.
“Desert table most definitely you know how Nate is about his sweets.” Lilly offered motion her head to the other side of the room. “Why don’t you text Cali and tell her to make her way over here.”
“You’re right that makes so much more sense.” I tell her, opening up my purse. Only to find my phone isn’t in my bag. It must be still on my bed. I groaned I was going to be so dead if my parents were trying to reach me.
“I’ll text Cali don’t sweat it sweetheart.” Sebastian said kissing my forehead I felt my body slowly starting to relax. River made gagging noises, Lilly only rolled her eyes shaking her head at him.
“Hey I can’t help but notice that our little Katie is missing. Where the heck is that girl?” Rory says searching the crowd.
“I think I found her.” Sebastian said pointing towards the middle of the dance floor. And sure enough there was Katie grinding against one of River’s football buddies. I saw the rage click in River’s face. Unlike me he loved Katie and was way too over protective of her. He liked that she stayed home and didn’t have any friends. He didn’t want her to ever grow up. Rory put her hand on his shoulder pushing him back down in his seat, giving him a disapproving look.
“She’s actually have fun for once. Don’t ruin it for her.” Rory said softly.
River huffed and muttered something under his breath. I couldn’t quite make out what it was but definitely had something to do with the word dead. Rory kissed his cheek and his face shifted, he was grinning like an idiot. She was right Katie was smiling, dancing and hitting it off with some of the girls from our school. She had achieved a higher acceptance among my fellow peers and she had only been here an hour at most.
“Hey guys.” Cali called waving at us. We all nodded.
“Nathan my man, nice choice in date.” River added eyeing Cali. Cali flicked her fake Cleopatra hair over shoulder before giving River a sly look.
“Thanks man, I’m one lucky guy.” Nathan replied kissing Cali’s cheek.
Sebastian cleared his throat as he was staring at Cali. His eyes had this protective mask over his eyes. She immediately chuckled before introducing him to Nathan.
“Nate, this is my best friend Sebastian, Sebastian this Nathan Viv’s best friend and my boyfriend.”
Sebastian grabbed Nathan’s hand staring him in the eye. It was scary like they were having a secret intense conversation with just their eyes. No one said a word; we just stood there watching in blatantly with curious expressions. I couldn’t take the tension any more.
“Alright who wants to hit the dance floor?” I cheered clapping my hands together hoping that my desperate attempt to break their bond.
Nathan and Sebastian finally broke eye contact as Nathan whisked Cali out on the dance floor. Lilly, Brad, Rory and River followed. Grabbing Sebastian’s hand leading back to the dance floor I hear a small voice calling Sebastian’s name. We both spin around in the direction of the noise. Who here knew Sebastian?
Kendall is waving at us with Mike leaning against the wall next to her, clearly not wanting to be here. We make our way over to them. Kendall is dressed in a deep purple renaissance dress the trimming a prominent gold, Her hair had lilacs weaved through her braided halo. I can tell she put a great deal and effort in her costume. Mike on the other was stand there in his white gypsy shirt fitting snug against his chest showing off his muscles. His black satin pirate pants fell sort of loose around his hips only kept up from the belt and sword around his waist. His eyes were lock on me as I smiled at Kendall.
“You make a beautiful Juliet, Kendall.” I gushed.
“Me. You make everyone in the room look like hobbits with your beauty and Sebastian you are looking very dapper this evening as Mr. Gatsby.”
“I would be nothing but another face if it weren’t for Vivian bringing all the attention towards us.” He beamed. Mike rolled his eyes leaning his head back against the wall.
“Do mind if I steal Sebastian for a dance? Since my Romeo refuses to dance.” Kendall asked her eyes flicking to Mike. “Besides you did promise me a dance.” She added pointing to Sebastian.
“That I did my lady.” Sebastian replied bowing his head making Kendall burst into a fit of giggles. She looked at me for some sort of permission.
“Be my guest.”
As I watched Kendall and Sebastian on the dance floor I leaned against the wall next to Mike.
“You know you should really dance with Kendall. It wouldn’t hurt. Besides if I do recall you have major making up to do for being a grade A douchebag to her last night.”
Mike’s shoulders dropped. “I dance with her twice tonight.” He said shaking his head.
“You should be dancing all night with her.” I scoffed. “Twice isn't enough. Every girl wants to feel like princess when she’s dancing with her boyfriend.” Neither one of said anything for moment if it weren't for the blare of the music I would be able to hear my own breath.
“Do you want to dance?” he asked in a low voice.
“I said dance with Kendall, not with me.”
“Well seeing as Kendall is currently dancing with your date and doesn’t look like she’s ready to give him back yet. I’m asking you.” He said with smirk. I glanced at Sebastian and Kendal who were jumping around and looking like complete idiots. It did look like fun.
“One dance Mike and that’s it then I’m taking my boyfriend back.”
Before I could he grabbed my hand he walked out on the dance floor. Just as the song ended a slow song began. I was hesitant at first, but when he pulled me in closing the distance between I felt a slight sense of relief. As Mike and I swayed to the music I could feel the strange sensation to look him his eyes. They were locked on me with such intensity I couldn’t help but feel my heart racing. I could feel it beating in my ears. I knew I should look away but I couldn’t I just let his memorizing blue eyes captivate me. The song they were playing wasn’t helping either. I knew the song well it was actually one of my favorites, The Last Time by Taylor Swift featuring Gary Lightbody. I know it’s not my usual type of music it was something about the sound of orchestra and lyrics that really got to me. I use to think of Simon when I heard it but now I think of Mike. I can’t help but feel a weight on my chest as he swirls me around. I can see Kendall swaying away with Sebastian snuggling in close. A sudden burst of rage erupted inside of me that was until I saw Sebastian’s face. He was staring at me his eyes pleading for me to save him. I mouthed Sorry. He shouldn’t have promised her a dance. I was going to be impossible to get Kendall away from him. As Mike pulled me closer he whispered in my ear.
“You look beautiful tonight Kitten.”
It was all it took for my face to turn completely red. He called me Kitten. I stared into his blue eyes my head was now swimming with questions. As the music changed I felt a tap on my shoulder. Katie was standing next to me hands tucked behind her back, big blue eyes sparkling. I had almost forgotten I promised Katie a dance with Mike and he wasn’t even my date.
“Mike, do you mind dancing with Katie? I need to steal my boyfriend from your girlfriend.” I said pushing Katie into Mike’s arms before making a hasty escape. I needed air and I needed it now.
Bursting through the gym door the cold breeze hits me hard. Why hadn’t I brought a jacket? I start rubbing my arms trying to regenerate some sort of heat.
“Here,” Simon voice said echoing through the empty corridor handing me his coat. I slightly startled when did Simon get here?
“Thanks but I’ll be heading back inside soon.” I say pushing the jacket back towards him. Not even bothering to look at him.
“Viv. Shit okay I’m sorry.” He said kicking the ground. “When you said you loved me I sort of was taken back. I mean I knew you had a kid crush on me but I didn’t think it was that serious. I always looked at you as my sister, but tonight seeing you dance with my brother and that tool Sebastian. I was insanely jealous. I wanted it to be me who was sweeping you off your feet. I wanted it to be me that you were kissing. Then I realized I liked you a lot. Viv please look at me.” He pleaded.
“What do you want from me Simon? Huh? I can’t even begin to explain how humiliating it was for me to tell you I loved you and you to brush me off as your kid sister and now because you’re jealous of my boyfriend and your brother you think you can lay some sort of claim on me? It doesn’t work like that. Let’s not even bring up the fact you still brought the she-devil with you after I had told you not to. I’m sorry Simon but I can’t help you.” I shout at him before turning to walk into the gym. My eyes were burning with tears as I tried to blink them away staring at the sky. Simon grabbed me by the elbow pulling me into me his lips smashed against mine. It his lips are hot and consuming filled with desperation. I pulled away almost immediately and slapped him across his face, storming quickly into the gym.
I pulled myself together and made my way back to my friends who were all surrounding Sebastian laughing. I slide in next to him he gave my hand a gentle squeeze. His face was filled with concern as he turned his head to look at me fully. I gave him a reassuring smile kissing his cheek. He really was the life of the party. Just as another girl pulled him away to dance he hesitated for second looking to me for permission. I nodded that it was alright and watched Sebastian disappear into the crowd. I went back to the table and sat there eating cookies and cake that Cali had brought me from the desert table. I smiled at all the people having fun dancing and talking away. I could even see Kendall and Mike dancing. Kendall was beaming with joy as Mike well he looked kind of uncomfortable. I was proud of him for putting his selfish ways aside to dance with his girlfriend.
After finishing my third cookie I decide enough was enough and dove into the crowd dancing along with the rest of them. I swayed away to the beat, jumping around making silly faces. I danced with Nathan, Cali, Brad, Rory and Lilly. I even danced with Kendall to give Mike a break.
A tap on my shoulder startled me as the girls around me gawked and had ridiculous goo-goo eyes.
“I’ve been a terrible date. I’ve been dancing all night with everyone else and I haven’t even had one slow dance with you.” Sebastian says pulling me in close. I felt silly consider it was beat song playing and we were slow dancing. I can smell the musk of his cologne as I nuzzle my face deeper into his chest. Quickly the music had been cut off as Lilly walked on stage holding a microphone.
“Ladies and Gentleman, thank you for attending our sweetheart dance. Big thanks to Just Sweet for all fatting delicious bakery goods.” The crowded cheered as a spotlight was put on Simon. He gave them a small wave and nod as Brittany laid a big sloppy kiss on his cheek. I rolled my eyes shaking my head. That girl will do anything for attention.
“Now the moment you were all waiting for tonight’s Sweetheart couple is…” Lilly said drumming on her lap. “Katie Lascher and Mike McGibbin.” A frown spread across her face as she scanned the crowd for Katie. My sister had won and she didn’t even go here. She must had really made impression on people tonight. Mike slowly made his way up the stage the girl swooned and cried his name. While the guys cheer him on. “Where is Katie?”
A boy near me dressed as a knight chuckled, “Owen is probably hitting a home run, that Katie girl was seriously smashed.” He whispered to the guy next to him. I quickly grabbed him by his collar.
“Where the hell is my sister?” I barked.
“She went with Owen to his car.” He stuttered.
“What does Owens’ car look like?” I growled.
“I don’t know all I know it’s black with tinted windows.” He trembled I pushed him out of my hands and made my way to River I was definitely going to need his help if I was going to find Owens’ car, before our sister did something stupid. I mouthed to Lilly, stall. She nodded.
“Katie must be in the bathroom so why doesn’t her sister Vivian come up here and accept the crown on her behalf. While River you goes finds Katie.” Lilly cheered clapping her hands. I went completely pale, that’s not exactly what I mean by stall them. I walked towards the stage trying not to look anyone in the eye. God this was embarrassing. I quickly grabbed the silver tiara and placed on top of my head, trying to make a swift exist. Lilly caught my arm.
“It’s time for the sweetheart dance. So if the King and Queen will take the dance floor for their slow dance.”
My eyes went wide. I couldn’t slow dance with Mike again the last time I nearly lost myself. I turned to run but it was too late Mike had me the hand leading me down towards the center of the dance floor. The soft melody starts to play as he pulls me closer.
“Relax Kitten,” he purred into my ear.
Without my knowledge my whole body had suddenly relaxed and I was gliding across the floor, I felt like a princess as I look into those eyes of blue. I knew that everything in that moment was wrong. Then why did it feel so right? I looked around for Sebastian but found Kendall instead her eyes were filled with tears. I watched her rush out the doors no one had even bothered to chase after her. Mike didn’t even flinch his eyes were still on me. A finger tapped Mike’s shoulder.
“Do mind if I cut in?” Sebastian asked his green eyes were brightly intense. There was something more to them than I could tell.
“She’s your girlfriend.” Mike sneered.
“Yes but she’s your queen.” Sebastian added. A flash of rage flickered over his eyes.
I could feel the tension between them growing as I slide my hand into Sebastian’s, I could feel his anger subsiding.
“Mike, you should go find Kendall.” I tell him barely above a whisper staring down at my shoes I would dare look at him. He shakes his head and with a huff he pushes through us, not once looking back.
When the song ended Rory came rushing up to my sided. Her face was pale and filled with worry.
“We found Owen but he said Katie punched him in his dick when he tried to get frisky and she ran away. Needless to say River beat the shit out of him. The thing is we still don’t know where Katie is.”
I could feel my heart racing. I looked toward Sebastian who was already grabbing his keys out of his pants pocket.
“Let’s go find Katie.” He said rushing towards the exit. Rory and I following him not even a step behind.
“Do you even know where Katie would go? River said you were the closest to the twins.”
I paused and thought about it. Where would Katie go if she was scared and alone?
“She’s at the park.” I tell her.
“What? Why the park?” Rory asks raising her brows.
“The swings calm her down. She likes to go there and think. When we were small I use to push on the swings. She told me it’s when she felt the most at peace.”
“Okay I tell River.” Rory stated.
“No you just calm him down if he goes he’ll just make everything worse. He doesn’t have the best sense when it comes to Katie.”
“You’re right. I had to pull him off of Owen because he was like a crazy man.” Rory said shaking her head. “Alright you go find Katie and I will round up the troops to and head to the park to help you look.”
As soon as Rory turned around I hopped into Sebastian car and we sped off, only hearing the traction of the wheels. The thought had only occurred that the only park within walking distance was right behind the High school she had to be there. Katie wasn’t in any condition to walk far and I do remember her saying that was her favorite park.
“Sebastian she’s at the park about a couple of block from the high school” I tell him as I point to the right.
Pulling into the parking I could hear a slurry girly voice cry out “I can fly. I do believe in fairies.” I knew just one thing I had to follow that voice.
After treading through the frozen grass in nothing but stockings because my heels were starting to kill me, we had found her. She was lying on tummy down on the swing arms out like an airplane. What the hell was she on? I’m going to kill that little toad Owen as soon I get my hands on him. I took the swing next Katie, her makeup was smeared, her nose was Rudolph red and her eyes were blood shot. The smell of alcohol reeked off her. She turned her head and looked directly at me.
“I knew you would find me Peter. You always do.”
I stared at her for a moment. Peter? I looked at Sebastian who was chatting away on his phone. Telling Cali we found her no less. When hung up he stooped down get eye level with Katie. Her eyes went wild.
“Captain Hook why are you so gorgeous?” she shrieked.
“Aw my dear Katie I am not Captain hook. I am his son Ryder hook and I’m here with peter to make sure you get home safely.”
“I’m not ready to go home I want to stay in Neverland forever that way I don’t ever have to grow old and become like my parents or worse my sister Robin.” Katie huffed sitting up properly in the seat. Sebastian sighed.
“If I push you on the swings for a little while do you promise to come with us?”
I watch Katie think long and hard about his request. She sort of reminded me of Winnie the Pooh the way she scratched her head and patted her temple.
“Fine, but I want you kiss Peter.” She said pointing at me giggling.
“I have no problem with that.” Sebastian replied leaning over to kiss me. When our lips connected Katie burst into a fit of laughter.
“Peter Pan kissed a boy.” She laughed as Sebastian pushed her.
A horrible thought occurred to me as I watched my sister swinging; I couldn’t take her home like this she was drunk and high as kite. My parents will never let either of us out of the house again. I had two options either sober Katie up in recorded time or we were going to have to crash at Nate’s. As Katie fell back off the swinging hitting the cold grass below before Sebastian could catch her I knew what I had to do.

So that is chapter 14. It took me forever to write. So what do you think Viv's going to do with Katie? What's up with that drug the Katie took. Some dangerous stuff. Thank Bob Viv found her.
