Catherine of Aragon

Catherine of Aragon was born on the 16 December 1485 at the Archbishop of Toledo's Palace, Alcalá de Henares, Spain.

Catherine married Prince Arthur on the 14 November 1501 at St. Paul's Cathedral, London.

Catherine then married King Henry VIII on the 11 June 1509 at Franciscan Church in Greenwich.

She gave birth seven times, but only Mary I survived. Desperate for a male heir, Henry had the marriage annulled in 1533.

Catherine died on the 7 January, 1536 at Kimbolton Castle.

Anne Boleyn:

Anne Boleyn was born between 1500 and 1509 probably at Blickling Hall

Anne married King Henry VIII on the 25 January 1533 probably at the Palace of Whitehall.

Anne was already pregnant with Elizabeth when she married Henry in 1533. The King soon lost interest in Anne and in 1536, she was beheaded.

Anne was executed 19 May 1536 at The Tower of London.

She was buried 19 May 1536 at the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London.

Jane Seymour:

Jane Seymour was born in 1508 or 1509, possibly at Wolf Hall, Wiltshire

Jane married King Henry VIII on the 30 May 1536 eleven days after the execution of Anne Bolyen in the Queen's Closet, Whitehall Palace           

Jane caught Henry's eye while she was a lady-in-waiting to Anne Boleyn. She bore the king a son but died of childbirth complications.

She died on the 24 October 1537. Hampton Court Palace

She was buried 13 November 1537 at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle.

Anne Of Cleves:

Anne was born on 22 September 1515

She married  King Henry VIII in 6 January 1540 at Greenwich

The German princess, undertook an arranged marriage with Henry in 1540. However the King, refused to consummate (=Have sex) the marriage. So in July the marriage was annulled after 6 months.

Anne was then made the Kings Sister. She died on the 16 July 1557 at Chelsea Manor, London.

Catherine Howard:

Catherine Howard was born sometime in 1521. Birth place is Unknown

She married King Henry VIII in 28 July 1540, at Oatlands Palace

She was executed two years later on the 13 February 1452          

She was later buried at the Chapel of St. Peter ad Vincula at the Tower of London.

Catherine Parr: (also know was Katherine Parr)

She was born in 1512

She married King Henry VIII on 12 July 1543, hidden in the Queen's Closet, Hampton Court Palace

Henry saw the twice-widowed Catherine Parr as an ideal stepmother to his children. Both expected few physical demands of each other. She outlived Henry and married shortly after his death.

She died on September 5,1548 at Sudeley Castle

She was buried 5 September 1548, at St Mary's Chapel, Sudeley Castle
