"You should have told them." Chiron sighed.

"Yes, I know. But, Lord Apollo, it was for their own good." Apollo snorted.

"Own good?! Chiron, nothing about demigod life is good. You need to tell them."

"No. I can't. They must find out on their own."

"On their own! Chiron, I'm breaking a rule right now! The least you could do, is tell them." Chiron shook his head.

"No." Apollo sighed.

"Fine. If you won't tell them that they are going to be betrayed, I will." With a bright flash of light, the god was gone.

Chiron knew that he should have told them. That they were going to be betrayed. But he didn't. The prophecy that he gave them was only half of it. The real prophecy, was this.


Two different teams, form two different worlds,

Must come together to save the world.

But beware, a betrayal you will face,

Someone close, someone known.

Fire and Ice must work together

Or else the world will fall.


That was the real prophecy. Chiron only told them part of it so they wouldn't worry. Percy has had too many betrayals in his life.

"Father, I can't do this!" He glared at me.

"You can, and you will! Perseus trusts you, and we will us that to Pitches advantage." I sighed. No use arguing with him. I won't get through.

"You will listen, and do whatever Pitch tells you to do." I nodded.

"Yes father."

"Follow me." I followed Pitch through the portal.

"What is it Master?" He smiled at the master thing.

"It's a plane so we can know what those "Guardians" and worthless demigods are doing." I fumbled.

"There not WORTHLESS!" I yelled. He smacked me.

"NEVER! SPEAK TO ME! LIKE THAT! AGAIN!!!" I flinched. He sat down.

"Now, as for that plan........"
