Part 7 art, not my base.
~Rowdy's Flashback/Dream~
Rowdy was grazing under the familiar willow tree while Scarlet was laying down dozing,
'She's been quite lazy for the last few days.' Rowdy thought with a tilt of his head gazing at his mate.
Out of the blue a new scent hit his nose.....A scent mixed in with Scarlet's, this only made Rowdy more curious
"Hey Scarlet why is there another scent on you?" He questioned softly, yawning Scarlet opened one of her grey eyes and gazed up at her mate.
"Uh...." She trailed off with a guilty grin "Okay you got me, I should of told you earlier." She said while raising her head,
"Tell me what dear?" Rowdy asked confused, earning a giggle from the mare,
"Well silly if you hadn't noticed I've been getting quite plump." She hinted,
The oblivious stallion gasped in shock "Don't ever call yourself fat Scarlet!" He scolded his mate like a mare scolding her foal.
Scarlet laughed, shaking her head "No dear, I'm with a foal." She said happily.
Rowdy's reddish/brown eyes got as large as the moon itself "Your-Your pregnant?!" He exclaimed
"Yes my love, we will have a little one running around very soon." She giggled as she watched Rowdy rear up and let out a happy whinny.
"I'm going to be a father!" He yelled at their herd that was grazing in the meadow, making everyone to look up startled at the usually quiet stallion,
"Rowdy! Stop your embarrassing me!" Scarlet snapped playfully
"That's my job though." Rowdy laughed, nuzzling Scarlet's belly "I couldn't be anymore happier." He stated with a closed eye smile.
Everything was going great until his perfect dream turned into a nightmare, the blue sky turned red and the soft grass was replaced by hard rock. Rowdy looked around confused, he turned back to Scarlet only to see her mutilated body along with other horses he kept close to him such as Frodo, Storm, Cinder, Emerald, Blood, and a few more 'What-What happened!' He thought in shock before he heard a chuckle behind him.
"I told you not to visit your family you fool, and you have already seen one of the consequences for doing so." The voice said, a red mist went around Scarlet's body
"No please stop, let her rest in peace!" Rowdy wanted to yell out but something kept him from doing so
"If you keep doing this Rowdy all of your loved ones will end up exactly like your precious Scarlet." The voice sneered before everything went black...
~End of Flashback Dream~
Rowdy woke up in the middle of the night with a yelp, Storm who was returning from the dirtplace squeaked in surprise and whirled around to stare at panting Rowdy.
"Rowdy? What's wrong are you okay?!" She asked startled.
Rowdy snapped his gaze to Storm while trying to control his breathing, he didn't answer
"Nightmare?" Storm guessed, Rowdy nodded his head not meeting her eyes.
Storm walked over to Rowdy as he settled back down, earning a confused look from the stallion when she laid down next to him
"I'll keep the nightmares away." She muttered as she closed her eyes. Rowdy just blinked in surprise at the mare before, cautiously laying his head on her back, sighing, he fell back into a nightmare free slumber....
