Its been 4 months now since Ashley passed away. I'm still an emotional wreck. But i'm keeping myself together for Chelsea.
"I'm home!", i yelled. Marissa walked up to me. "Hey dems. How was work?" "Good i guess. I don't even know. My head wasn't there. I was thinking about Ashley.." "Demi, its been 4 months now, you have to get over it." "Yes. Today it has been 4 months. Can you watch chelsea for a little longer. I'm gonna go see Ashley." "Of course Dems. Be careful okay?" I nodded and hugged her. She has been here for me the past 4 months.
I got in my car and drove to the mall to get some beautiful flowers. I drove to the cemetery and got out of the car. I let out a deep sigh. "Come on Demi, you can do it", i said to myself. I slowly started walking to Ashley's grave. "Hey beautiful, it's me, Demi." I sat down on the ground and put the flowers in the empty vase. "I miss you.. A lot. Why did you had to leave?.." I started crying. "You know, i was going to ask you to marry me as soon as you got better. And i believed you would get better, but you didn't." I wiped away my tears. "I'm really proud of you. You fought in the past, you struggled with your parents death, and you fought against cancer. All those battles you won, and this one you lost. I wish it would just go away, like the flu." I played with the sleeves of my sweater. "Chelsea is growing fast. She asks about you sometimes. Her first birthday is almost coming up. When she goes to school, i'll show her the video you made for her. So she'll know what happened." My phone ranged. "Hello?" "Dems, you have to come home. I thinks Chelsea has the flu", Marissa said. I sighed. "Okay, be there in a few." I hung up. "I have to go baby. But i'll be back soon. I love you." I stood up and looked at her stone. 'Ashley Lovato Carlin. 1993 - 2013' I smiled.
