Nakaupo si Sam sa malamig na semento. Yakap ang sarili sa malamig ng gabi.
Sa pinamamataas na gusali, muli niyang kinakausap ang buwan, mga bituin at mga ulap na walang maibigay na sagot sa kanya.
Inaalala ang mga nangyari nung nakaraang mga araw. Isang araw na lang, Isang linggo na ang lumipas.
Ilang araw na ang nagdaan. Pero parang hindi gumalaw ang oras at hindi dumaan ang araw para kay Sam.
Hinawakan niya ang kanyang dibdib pinakiramdam ang tibok ng puso. Titibok pa ba ang pusong basag?
Hindi niya malaman kung iiyak pa ba siya. Dahil parang nailuha na niyang lahat. Pero sa tuwing haharap siya sa langit, awtomatiko itong lumalandas sa kanyang pisngi.

One week ago...
"Sam, where is your wife?" Kathryn asked.
"She went to the ladies room Ma. Bakit po?"
"Ah okay, may naghahanap kasi sa kanya."
"Sino Ma?"
"Si Lilian. Yung bestfriend niya nung highschool. Umuwi na pala sila ng Ate niya."
Nagtaka si Sam. He did not remember Sabyn inviting them. kahit kaibigan ni Sab si Lilian ay hindi naman sila nagkausap nitong nakaraan. He remembered bumping into Monica months ago but that's about it.
Sam is certain hindi sila kasama sa mga pinadalhan ng imbitasyon because he personally brought it to their guests.
Lumabas naman mula sa likod ni Kathryn si Lilian. She was dressed casually kumpara sa ibang guests and she was wearing an expression that seems to be off for Sam.
"S-sam." she said when they were face to face.
"Maiwan ko muna kayo ha? May aasekasuhin lang ako sa loob anak. Please keep her company habang nasa rest room pa si Sab." Kathryn told Sam. He nodded as a response.
"Lil. Nakabalik na pala kayo? Long time." bumeso pa siya sa kaibigan noi Sabyn.
"Yeah. Mga six months na rin kameng nasa Pinas." sabi nito. Hindi maitago ang pagkabalisa niya habang kausap si Sam. She was a Wiccan and if it were not for the anklet she is wearing malamang malalaman na ni Sam kung ano siya.
But then again, Sam would probably think it was Sabyn he is sensing around. The truth is, nasanay na rin siyang may Wiccan sa paligid dahil sa kanyang asawa. It was both a good and bad thing for him.
"Ahh, matagal na rin pala. Ngayon ka lang ba kumontact kay Sab?"
"Ahm, actually she doesn't know I am coming."
"Ha? You mean hindi pa kayo naguusap ni Sab? But how did you know about this party?" he wondered. He saw Lilian's eyes wandered around.
Napansin din ni Sam ang mga dumating na mga additional waiters at nagseserve ng wine. It wasn't odd for him dahil party naman iyon, normal lang na may mga taong pumaparoon at parito para mag serve ng mga inumin.
What bothered him was the way Lilian seems to be shaking. Parang may nakita itong nakakatakot.
"Lilian." Sam called on her. she looked his way and there was definitely fear in her eyes. "Are you okay?"
Sam followed where Lilian was looking. May nga nagpapasok ng pagkain sa loob. Dala ng mga caterer.
Hindi pa rin nakasagot si Lilian, patuloy lamang itong lumilingon kung saan.
Biglang lumakas ang tugtog sa loob, dumami ang nagsasayawan sa gitna. Nagulat si Sam ng bigla itong yumakap sa kanya at tila nag tago sa kanyang dibdib. Hindi agad nakaimik si Sam dahil ang mga sumunod na sinabi sa kanya ni Lilian ay nagpatindig ng kanyang balahibo.
"Sam, get Sabyn out of here. Umalis na kayo dito. Ikaw pati ang pamilya mo. Umalis na kayo." she whispered in his ear.
Sam pulled away and looked at her. He frowned "What?" he tried to comprehend.
"I said umalis na kayo, lulusubin kayo ng mga Wiccan dito and...and...it's not going to end good."
"Paanong lulusubin?...How did you know about this? About us?" pagtataka ni Sam. Kasabay ng malakas na tugtog ay ang tibok ng puso niyang tumatambol sa loob.
Lilian raised her pants showing Sam the anklet she was wearing. He knew what it meant.
Namilog ang mata ni Sam sa kanyang nalaman.
"Anong alam mo?!" hinawakan niya ito sa balikat ng mahigpit. Sam sensed danger, and he was right.
"Right now..." she paused, taking off his hands from her shoulder and trying to act casual. She placed her arms around his shoulder para hindi mahalata ng mga matang nakatingin na sa kanila. Lilian was trying to act normal. "...they are everywhere."
Sam felt his sweat cold. He did not know what to do.
"Kuya?!" siya namang lapit ni Sky sa kanilang dalawa. She interrupted their dance. "Who is this woman? Does she know you are already married?! Bakit siya kumakapit ng ganyan sayo?" paninita ni Sky sa kanyang kapatid.
Napatingin si Sam kay Sky. "Sky, kaibigan siya ni Sab." sagot na lamang ni Sam. HIndi na niya ito pinansin dahil nagiisip na siya ng kanyang gagawin.
"Hoy ikaw! gusto mo bang mapitik ka ni Ate Sab?" baling naman ni Sky kay Lilian na tila wala sa kanya ang atensyon nito. Nagtitigan lang sila ni Sam telling him to leave right away.
"Sky tama na!" Sam tells Sky "Hanapin mo si Mama and Papa and Des, tell them we are leaving." he said with urgency in his voice.
"Ha? What? Why?" nagtaka si Sky. Halata niyang hindi okay si Sam.
"Kuya, is something wrong?"
"Sky, just do what Kuya is telling you okay? Hahanapin ko lang si Sab and we'll end this party now. I want ypu to go and tell Mama what I told you."
Kahit hindi maintindiahan ni Sky ang kinikilos ni Sam ay sumunod na ito sa kanyang sinasabi.
Nakita ni Sam ang mga waiter na nag iikot at nagbibigay ng wine sa mga guests. He took one and said the spell "Verum colores bibendum ostendat." as he poured it discretely in an empty glass. That spell was to check if the wine were poisoned.
He was shocked to see the wine change from red it became black in color, it only meant one thing. It was poisoned.
Pinagtutumba ni Sam ang mga bote ng inumin at ang mga nasa baso na gamit ang kanyang telekinesis.
He heard shrieks when the wine spilled but he was glad to know that no one took a single sip from the poisoned wine yet. Duda niya ang mga bagong pasok na mga alak ang may lason at maaring mga Wiccan ang mga waiter na nagsisilbi sa loob ng party.
Sam was walking fast towards the door to get to Sabyn. The rest room is located at the far end part of that hallway and Sam did not have enough time to walk it's distance , he ended up using his teleportation skills.

Sabyn's eyes changed to black. Darkness sifting away from her. It separates her self from her alter persona. It gives her power, the strength to grab Monica's hands from her neck.
"Bitawan mo ako!" finally she was able to get away from her. Tumilapon si Monica sa gilid. Sa lakas ng pagkakatapon ni Sabyn kay Monica hindi agad siya nakatayo.
The darkness in Sabyn wants to choke Monica and us her strength in her. A spell is lingering inside her mind like a last song syndrome. But she stopped herself from reciting it. Hindi siya ganun. She won't turn herself into a monster like everyone thinks she is. She won't turn into the Wiccan everyone is expecting her to.
Kahit hirap na hirap si Sabyn na umiwas at sugurin si Monica. She tried her best not to listen to the voice inside herself. The voice of darkness.
Nagconcentrate siya sa boses na naririnig niya kay Sam mula sa labas.
"Sab! Answer me! Alam kong nandyan ka." Sam shouts outside the ladies room. It's locked from the inside and no matter what force he gives he could not seem to open it. Parang may nakaharang. Parang may nakabalakid. He could not even get through using his teleporation.
There's a barrier that hinders him from going inside. May orasyon na ginawa si Monica when she went inside the rest room para masolo niya si Sabyn.
"Love! Love!" sa wakas ay sumagot na ito sa kanya. She fough hard to come back to her senses and return to being just Sabyn.
Sa oras na iyon dalawa ang kalaban niya, si Monica at ang sarili niya. Sabyn felt she will lose her battle without Sam around. He is the one that gets to make every difficult things makes sense.
"Sab?! Naririnig kita! I can't seem to get through this door. May nilagay na spell dito."
Sabyn tried to open the door her self but true to what Sam said, she also can't get through. She turned to Monica and gave her a deadly stare. Nakatayo na ito ngayon at muling naghahahamon.
"Let us stay here for a while Sab. " Monica said.
"Remove the spell you placed to this door or else..."
"Or else what? Papatayin mo ako? Sige, show your true self to me. Hindi na ako magugulat. Dahil we are made of the same pattern. Evil. Bad. Heartless witches. Wiccans Sab, yun tayo." Monica spats on her face.
Sabyn glared at her even more.
"I'm no like you." Sabyn disagreed.
"Bakit? Because of Sam? Because he married you? Because he loves you? You think you are one of them?!" lumapit pa ito ng husto sa kanya. "Just because you married an Eiraya doesn't mean they accepted you. They will never accept a monster like you! Anak ka ni Severino! No love can ever change that."
The moment Sabyn heard it, as if her true identity was given permission to show. Lumalim ang kanyang mga mata, nanunuot hanggang sa kanyang mga buto ang kapangyarihan. Her body is dressed with strength as she advanced to Monica. She pinned her against the wall of that wash room with one hand.
"Don't provoke me to become that monster you are telling about." Sabyn hissed, her eyes in all black.
Monica dared to look straight at her. Holding onboth her hands for her dear life. She realized Sab is indeed strong. She may have underestimated her.
"Even...if y-you k-kill me n-now, do you think the truth will bend for you? The truth of who you are. A-aft-ter tonight, you will be an outcast too...like the most of us. A W-wiccan will a-always be a Wiccan, you cannot side with the Eirayas." Monica said as she fought for another breath.
Mas diniin ni Sab ang pagkakahawak niya sa leeg ni Monica, she literally lifted her with one hand and still pinning her to the wall.
"What do you think the Eirayas will do once they find out that the only way to eliminate us Wiccans is to have you killed? Do you think they will even think twice before they kill you?" Monica asked her. Sabyn diminished little of her strength after hearing her words. Her lies, Sabyn thought in her head.
"You are lying." Sabyn repeated to herself. Of course she was convincing her self.
Monica seem to have seen how it affected Sabyn that she used it to her advantage. "And the best part is... the only one who could kill you and save those people out there is the half of your soul, anima alterum, Destinata. Si Sam. That is the only key for them to end with victory." Monica continued to say to her. Tuluyan nang bumalik si Sab sa dating anyo pagkatapos marinig ang sinasabi ni Monica.
Nanginig ang kamay ni Sabyn dahilan para lumuwag ang pagkakahawak niya kay Monica.
"Hindi totoo yan. Hindi totoo ang Destinata. Sam...Sam told me the curse is just a faux. Gawa gawa lang ang tungkol sa Destinata." iling niya habang humahakbang siya paatras.
"Why dont you ask Sam then? He will tell you the truth." Monica looked at behind her. There was Sam standing with exhaustion. He was able to finally get through the barrier. Whatever he did to break the spell Monica placed on the door tired him very much.
Sabyn turned to face him. His eyes alone apologized but there was no time to waste.
"Don't listen to her." he cupped Sabyn's face. Sab was in a daze trying to process what has been said to her. He took hold of her hand and quickly left the room.
The door shut close behind them and they left Monica locked inside. Sam replaced the spell of barrier. He detained Monica inside the wash room without a chance to get out. Sam thought he will deal with her after he makes sure his family is safe especially Sabyn.

Tumatakbo silang magkasama pabalik sa loob kung saan nagaganap ang party. The night that was ought to be the happiest for their family turned out to be a tragedy.
When Sam and Sab entered the room, ikinagulat niya na nagkakagulo na sa loob.
Screaming.
Gun shots.
Bodies lying on the ground.
What was happening? He wondered with fear.
May mga nakahandusay na sa sahig, may mga naghihingalo.
May mga humihingi ng tulong.
Sam could see Kevin, Ckan and even Destiny fighting those waiters he saw earlier. He was right. Lilian was telling the truth. Mga Wiccan nga ito. They have weapons and the Eiraya's did not. In his assessment, they are outnumbered.
Agad na hinanap ni Sam ang kanyang pamilya. Si Kathryn, si Daniel, si Sky at si Destiny.
"Ma..Pa.." he looked around.
He failed to look for them among the chaos that is happening in front of him. Despite the difficulty, he did not let go of Sabyn.
He was breathing heavily until Sab screamed in terror "Papa!" tinakpan niya ang kanyang bibig sa nakita.
Daniel was lying on the floor with blood coming out his mouth. Dumako sa may dibdib ang tingin ni Sam at Sab, nasaksak siya doon.
Sabyn ran towards him and raised his head on her lap "Papa!" she cried
"S-sab..." Daniel spoke, more blood was coming out his mouth.
"Umalis na kayo ni Sam, a-anak." pinipilit niyang bigkasin.
"Ssshhhh...Papa, dadalhin namin kayo sa ospital. You will be okay." hikbi niya.
"Pa...hang on okay? Dadalhin ka namin sa ospital." sabi ni Sam pinipilit niyang itayo si Daniel pero dahil nanghihina siya ay parang nauubusan siya ng lakas para tulungan ito. The blood that was coming out of Daniel scared Sam. "Papa!" it can't be helped he cried.
"Dj!" lumingon si Sabyn at Sam sa boses ng kanyang Tito Calvin.
"Tito, dalhin natin si Papa sa ospital. Bilisan na po natin." iyak ni Sabyn. In one lift, Daniel was brought to his brother's shoulder and quickly left the place. May mga nag aantay ng ambulansya sa labas ng hotel kung saan ginanap ang party.
To others, in their naked eyes the attack of the Wiccans appeared like a terrorist attack. Police and other forces were called for help.
"Sab, sumama ka na kay Tito Calvin. Susunod ako ha? Hahanapin ko lang sila Mama and we'll--" Sam told Sabyn briefly but his wife just stood firmly where she is. She didn't move. She didn't follow what Sam told her.
"Sab! I said umalis ka na! Kaya ko na to." he pushed her to follow Calvin.
"No." umiling siya ng mahina.
"Sab! Huwag ng matigas ang ulo please!" he pleaded placing his arms around her shoulders.
"What Monica said earlier--" she started but Sam did not let her finish.
"Hindi totoo yon okay? It's not true Sab!" he shouts "It's not true." he repeated but slowly this time. His head fell.
But it was too late because Sabyn is not believing him anymore. She realized what Sam is doing all this time. He was protecting her but by doing that, everyone else is in danger. Her family, the people she loves. Everyone in the process will give their lives as a sacrifice for her protection and it burdened her heavily.
"I am thankful that you love me so much that you are willing to risk everything Sam but look around you..." Sabyn said in tears.
Unti unting inangat ni Sam ang kanyang mata at tumingin sa paligid. His colleagues, friends and family are on the floor. Some were already lifeless. Some were hurt. Some are still fighting hard.
"Those are the lives that could be saved if you take away what you need to take from me..."
"No." he immediately said. His tears are flowing.
"Do it Love." she says with all sincerity and bravery.
"No." he repeats again and again. Sam is shaking his head with determination that he will not do it.
"It's the only way to end this." she whispered.
"No Baby, no...ano bang sinasabi mo? There should be another way. We will find that way. Lalaban tayo... We will find a way. Just stop saying that. I can't." he pressed his forehead against Sabyn. His shoulders moved as he cried telling her to stop mentioning what he doesn't want to hear.
Sabyn closed her eyes as she cupped his face. She searched for his eyes until she could see her reflection in them. "I know that you love me so much, you loved me beyond the reasons this life has given you. You loved me that much." she began and Sam did not liked where the conversation was heading. "Love me again now without questions asked, will you?"
He did not answer. How could he answer to that?
"Nabasa ko sa libro, that if I surrender my powers to you...they will grant me a wish. Any wish I could think of. And I have already have a wish Sam." hikbi ni Sabyn.
"Sabyn stop it." saway ni Sam. "You will not give me anything, you will not surrender me anything. Ayoko. Ayoko. " niyuyogyog niya ang balikat ni Sab ngunit wala itong epekto.
"I will tell you my wish..." she moved closer to his ear wounding her arms around his neck "My wish is for you to live a thousand years, and thousand more, and thousand again until we meet again. Until the universe will let our paths cross and then you'll find me. Then we'll be together till the end." sabi ni Sabyn habang umiiyak. "That is my wish." patuloy ang kanyang pagiyak.
"Naririnig mo ba ang sinasabi mo Sab? Do you think gagawin ko sayo yan?" he sounded offended and angry.
"What choice do you have now Sam?"
"I may not have much of a choice but that doesn't mean I'm taking your life." there he finally said it. "Kung gagawin ko yan, I'll end up killing my self too. Then everything will be put to waste. So stop telling me nonsense."
"Pero Sam...sina Mama, si Sky, si Papa..."
"Ililigtas ko sila kaya please stop it! I will not do it. I will never--" he was cut momentarily when they heard a familiar voice.
Hearing his voice makes his blood boil with no mercy.
"Sam!" he turned to find who it was.
"Ruwan?" Sam asked with despise.
He was not alone because the bad Eiraya was holding his mother Kathryn by the neck and she seemed very weak.
Sa likod niya ay may dalawa pang mga Nabu na sigurado ni Sam ay kakampi ni Ruwan. Hawak naman ng mga ito si Sky at Destiny na nasa parehas na kalagayan. Sam is positive that they put a spell on them. Halos wala ng malay si Sky.
"We meet again." sabi ni Ruwan kay Sam. Palapit ito sa kanilang dalawa ni Sabyn sa gitna.
Tinago ni Sam si Sabyn sa likod niya at humahakbang sila paatras. Ngunit napapaligiran na pala sila ng mga Wiccan nilang kalaban at isa sa mga ito ay si Monica. Nakatawag ito ng tulong at nakalabas sa banyo, galit na galit itong nakatingin sa kanila.
"Bitawan mo ang Mama ko at mga kapatid ko. Ako ang kailangan mo di ba? Let them go." Sam demanded.
"Okay." parang ang dali nitong napakiusapan. "In one condition. Sasama ka sa amin, ikaw at si Sabyn." Ruwan said.
"Hindi pwede. Ako lang ang kunin niyo. Huwag niyong idadamay si Sab dito."
"Tsk. Too bad, I can't do that." Ruwan said pushing Kathryn on the floor and pointed a gun. Nagulat sila sa kawalang hiyaan ni Ruwan. Awang awa sila sa kalagayan ni Kathryn.
Panay ang iyak ni Sabyn para sa kinilalang ina.
"Mama!" Sabyn screamed terrified.
"Sam! Please. Mapipigilan mo to." Sabyn said behind him.
Nanatiling nakatayo si Sam at bakas pa ang gulat sa kanya nang akala niya ay tutuluyan na ni Ruwan si Kathryn.
He did not think twice before advancing to Ruwan and hit him with his fist, Ruwan fell on the floor.
The anger made Sam change, he transformed into his alter form. With eyes of gold, he grabbed Ruwan and threw him. He fell straight to those men behind him.
Nakawala si Destiny and Sky but they were too weak to move a muscle.
"Sky! Des! Wake up!" Sabyn tried to get them up.
Sam started reciting spells to cast on Ruwan but it didn't take effect. Duda niya ay may suot si Ruwan na kung anong nagpapawalang bisa noon.
The other Wiccans attacked Sam but he was stronger than them that they had the difficulty to get hold of him.
Sam was down to the last Wiccan when he saw Monica from the side of his eyes approaching Sabyn from behind, she was holding a piece of what Sam thinks is a poisoned dagger.
"Sab, sa likod mo!" Sam shouts. Luckily Sabyn was able to avoid her lunge.
Tumilapon si Sabyn sa sahig sa pagiwas pero hindi siya tinigilan ni Monica.
Sumugod ito sa kanya at pumaibabaw at aktong sasaksakin siya.
"Papatayin na lang kita." she snarled like a ferocious beast. "Pag ako ang makakapatay sayo, makukuha ko ang kapangyarihan mo at isusunod ko si Sam para magsama na kayo sa impyerno!" Monica shouts. Nasa may leeg na ni Sab ang patalim kaunti na lang ay masasaksak na siya nito.
Sabyn could not let her power come out, she feared that Monica will succeed in taking her powers during that time she will be vulnerable.
Sam was not able to get to Sabyn right away and help her because of Ruwan, muli itong nakabangon at inaatake siya. He could see from the side of his eyes the situation and it was distracting him causing Sam to lose some hits from Ruwan.
He did his best to end Ruwan but he kept coming back. The spells he used on him are not enough to bring him down. Matalino rin siyang mangkukulam. He knows how to counter attack. sa dami ng beses niyang ginagamit ang teleportation, eventually he grew tired and it became useless for him. He had to stop Ruwan now.
He thought if he could not end him as a witch then he may have to use another way.
Sam took one of the Nabu's weapon and pointed it at Ruwan but there was another shot fired and his instinct told him to check on Sabyn.
"Sab!" he shouts totally distracted from Ruwan.
Sabyn was on the floor with Monica above her, blood was oozing from her back and Lilian was standing with a gun behind them. She stopped her own sister by shooting her.
"Ate!" tinakbo niya agad ito. Wala na siyang nakitang paraan para pigilan pa ang kapatid kaya't minabuti niyang tapusin na lamang sa ganung paraan.
Sabyn crawled away from the bleeding Monica. She was as terrified as Lilian who shot her.
Sabyn cried as she witnessed how heartbreaking it was for Lilian. No matter how crooked Monica was. She is still her sister and a losing a loved one will be just as painful.
With these thoughts, Sabyn turned to watch Sam fight Ruwan. He was hit everywhere-- on his face, his body. Sam fell too many times but he kept on standing. Sab saw he was becoming weaker and weaker.
Sam was on the floor, his mouth stained with blood. He tried to stand again.
"Just surrender to me Sam." Ruwan taunts him.
Ruwan then grabbed Kathryn forcefully pulling her hair making her grunt out of pain. Sabyn had to close her eyes to what might happen to both Sam and Kathryn in Ruwan's hands.
With courage in her heart, Sabyn quickly took the gun that Lilian was holding earlier and ran to Sam. She handed him the gun.
"Sam..." her hands were shaking.
"Sab, umalis ka dito." he tried to say. He was badly hurt . The spells that Ruwan gave him are making him weak. "Baka ano pa ang magawa niya sayo." halos nauubusan na ng hininga si Sam.
"Sam, please. Bago pa may gawin siya kay Mama at sayo. Do it." Sab said while setting the gun ready for firing.
Nakatingin lamang si Sam sa kanya, nagsusumamo ang mga mata. Hinihiling na huwag banggitin ang mga katagang ayaw niyang pakinggan.
Sabyn slowly placed the gun in his hand pointing it towards a direction Sam will never want to follow.
The gun was pointing at her. At Sabyn. Straight to her heart.
"No!" he shouts and with all his might he tried to remove the gun in his hand but he failed.
Sabyn used her strength to manipulate Sam. She allowed her self to transform, to become darkness in front of her light.
"Sabyn, mahal kita. Di ko kayang gawin ang gusto mo--" nahihirapan siyang sabihin ang mga tila bawal na salita. May kirot sa buo niyang pagkatao. Tumatagos sa buto. Pumapailalim sa kanyang puso.
Sa pagkakataong iyon ay mas lumapit pa si Sabyn sa kanya. Malapit na malapit. dikit sa kanyang mga labi. Bago ito nagsalita, pumikit siya at lumandas muli ang kanyang luha.
"If you love me, then kill me. Let them live. Live for me." Sabyn said before planting a soft kiss on his lips."Tapusin na natin to. Tapusin mo na ako."
Hinigpitan ni Sab ang hawak ni Sam sa baril at kahit ano pa ang gawin niyang pagpalag parang may kung anong pwersa ang pumipigil sa kanyang gumalaw.
"Sab, don't do this. Huwag mo gawin sa akin to." pakiusap niya muli sa asawa. Para bang sa kanya nakatutok ang baril na iyon.
Sa gilid ng mga mata ni Sabyn nakikita niya si Ruwan na tatapusin na si Kathryn.
She had to hurry, she had to die. Sam had to end her now. It was the only way to save them, to give Sam her strength so he can win over Ruwan.
"Sam, there's no time! Papatayin niya si Mama. Isusunod ka niya! Isusunod niya ako kaya please gawin mo na. Pull the trigger Sam. Do it! I promise you, everything will be alright after this. I promise you." she was crying and begging.
The gun in Ruwan's hand is already ready to shoot Kathryn straight in the head.
"Sam! Pull the trigger now!" she shouts.
Hindi alam ni Sam kung ano ang gagawin, kunga paano niya gagawing iligtas ang mga mahal niya sa buhay.
Sabyn closed her eyes. As she started to say the spell.
As if Sam have lost it, he pulled Sabyn close to him with the gun in between their beating hearts.
Sam cried hard "Sabyn mahal kita." he said. She didn't open her eyes or did she stopped chanting.
She just whispered with a nod
"Alam ko."
🎶Don't wanna fight no more...we'll find a way around it.🎶
Then a shot was heard.
Fired. It was a close shot. Straight to the heart.
Her heart.
He finally gave in to her wish.
Sam killed Sab.
🎶Where's the love we had?🎶
The darkness surrendered it's power to the light. She chanted until the last words.
"Hoc est, ad Finem Bellum." were the words that came from Sabyn's mouth but it wasn't the last.
Darkness filled the whole place and it became impossible for Ruwan to see anything.
As if the surroundings became a vast galaxy without any stars, the black hole swallowed everything as a whole.
Everything seemed to have lost or vanished for a while. But Sam saw Sabyn clearly, how she fell in his arms. Her weight seemed like a heavy load thrown at him and he was caught off guard.
"Sab..." Sam's voice came with regrets right away. He saw how her motion became slow, Sam could see every movement with definition. How her eyes closed because of pain, how her mouth opened because of pain.
The pain that Sam had caused her.
The pain that she asked for.
His tears dropped one by one over Sabyn's face as she called her name hoping it can wash away his regrets.
"I'm sorry..." he cried again and again "I'm sorry..." he hugged her tighter, feeling every debris from his broken heart.
"No...don't be." iling ni Sab hanggat kaya pa niya. She touched his face wet with tears. Ramdam niya ang sakit sa kanyang dibdib na parang sinasaksak siya ng paulit ulit.
"You just loved me so much that you gave me what I wanted...thank you." she said with blood coming out of her mouth and tears flowing from her eyes.
Sam wanted to shout looking at her but couldn't. His voice seem to have trapped around his broken heart. Panay lamang ang iling niya at hiling na sa isa lamang iyong masamang panaginip.
"Sabyn." impit ang kanyang pagtawag sa pangalan ng minamahal. Kagat niya ang sariling labi, pigil na pigil ang kagustuhan niyang magwala. Gusto niyang humandusay na lang kasama niya.

Binabalot na sila ng kulay puti na parang ulap sa kanilang paligid. Unti unti na rin nawawala ang sakit na nararamdaman ni Sab. Ang dilim ay muling nagliliwanag. Pumapasok sa katawan ni Sam.
Ramdam man niya ang lakas ng kanyang kapangyarihan, hindi pa rin nagbabago ang kahinaan ng kanyang kalooban. Patuloy siyang umiyak habang tinatawag ang pangalan ni Sabyn.
She managed to smile when everything is about to end.
"L-love..." mahina ang kanyang boses.
"Hmmm?" sagot bi Sam sabay sa agos ng kanyang luha.
"See y-you in m-my next l-lifetime. Babalik ako. Hintayin mo ako ha?" Sam could barely understand her words. She is about to let go. He isn't even ready.
🎶 I can't live my life the way you want me to. You know I can't go on living like we do...🎶
It seemed like ten seconds before her eyes slowly closed. In between those fast passing seconds Sab saw herself and Sam in their happiest moment. Shw smiled even more.
It was probably during their wedding day because they were dressed in white.
Napakabilis lang ng pangitain na iyon bago siya tuluyang pumikit. She bid her goodbye.
Ngunit sa kanyang paglisan ay may nakita pa siyang isang batang babae. Nakangiti ito sa kanya at sa isang iglap siya ay nawala. Kasabay ng huli niyang hininga, wala na rin siyang nakita.
Mabilis ang mga pangyayari, halos hindi nasundan ni Sam ang bawat ganap. Parang hindi totoo.
Just an hour ago, he was with Sab holding her hand and staring at her beautiful face. Admiring the beauty and madness that she possess.
How did everything changed within the period of sixty minutes?
Paanong nagkasya ang buhay ng kanyang minamahal sa loob ng isang oras?
Then after an hour, Sab is there, lying lifeless, breathless in his trembling arms and his empty heart. He inhaled and exhaled regrets and guilt. His shoulders continued to shake when he couldn't stop crying.

Time-- how fast and how slow it plays with the human heart. It tricks people to think that forever is long.

A lifetime? Oftentimes it doesn't last that much.
It only takes the speed of a heartbeat to feel and a blink of an eye before it's gone.
That's how fast it comes.

Pasensya na po sa mga nagantay kahapon. Sobrang busy ko po kaya di ako nakapagpost. Natype na kasi siya kaso di ko pa nababasa ng buo so hindi ko ma ud agad kasi inaayos ko pa ang pwede pamg ayusin.
Unang una po, mahaba po ang chapter na to. Actually sa average kong chapters, I only type in 2-3k words pero chap but this one has 5K plus so mahaba haba siya.
Originally eto na ang last chapter perk I decided last minute to add "Fin" chapter so that comes after this last chapter.
May Fin pa at may Epilogue. Baka update ko na na pag gising ko ngayom kasi zombie ako galing night duty so pagpasensyahan niyo na.
