You were going to a new school. All your life you attended schools in Asgard.
Your cover-up story was that you were a foreign exchange student from a not well-known country.
Your English was impeccable, you managed to learn a lot of words.
This morning, you woke up and dressed in a burgundy skirt and grey t-shirt and denim jacket.
You recently learned how to apply makeup properly so you did as you were taught.
Also, ever since you were a child, your mother, Jane, liked to play with your hair. She taught you how you braid and make beautiful hairstyles. Which came in useful for days like this.
You had researched all about the first day of school, watching back to school videos on YouTube, reading teen vogues latest issue on it.
Your mom and dad were now separated, you lived with your father, hence why you're attending Orange County's high school.
You pad downstairs, slipping on your flats. "Bright and early as always." Your father munched on a pop tart. You smile and give him a good morning hug. Pulling away, you skillfully break a piece off his treat eating it quickly. "I absolutely cannot wait!" You exclaimed.
He chuckled a throaty laugh and patted your shoulder. "Shall we go now, father?" You asked hopefully. He looks at the clock. "It has come of time, we shall." He smiled.
He drove you to school, dropping you off in this new place.
You look around. The place was beautiful and big. Students were scattered all across the premises, talking, laughing,
You awkwardly sit doe beside a tree, working on your latest sketch. The bell rang and everyone was going inside so you did as the others did.
There was a whole back to class speech given by your principle. Which nobody listened to, except you.
You eagerly tried to collect as much information as you could about this place.
The rules were simple:
No smoking
No swearing
No fighting
No stealing
No cheating
No skipping class
No trafficking drugs
You followed your mentors that the school board had assigned to you. He was cute, his name was Peter.
He showed you around, telling you where your classes were and what teachers were nice; it was a sweet gesture.
After the tour was done, he fed you goodbye and left you at your classroom. You walked in and started taking notes of what you would learn during this semester.
Then lunch came soon enough, you had eaten the meal of the day. You had nowhere to sit, so like any human being would (no pun intended) you sat on the floor and ate.
You studied how everyone was seated in groups of people and wondered how you could get into those groups.
All of a sudden, Peter sat next to you smiling softly.
"Hey, (Y/N)." He greeted. "Hello, Peter." You smiled, showing your pearly whites. "Exciting huh?" He asked taking a bite in his burger. "Yes, indeed." You chuckled softly.
"You know... You don't have to be formal with me." He said nudging you with his elbow. "I am not being formal, just simply speaking in the way I do." You smiled shyly, he was charming.
"Alright. Well, just so you know, it's super cute." He poked your nose. You blushed and he chucked. "Where do you come from anyway?" He took another bite.
You got a little nervous, you couldn't tell anyone that you came from Asgard. That'd be just downright strange.
"I originate from a country far from here and unknown by many people that goes by the name of Asgard." You nervously rambled and instantly covered your mouth. "I meant Afghanistan!" You lied.
He just chuckled at your jittery movements. "Oh, well I come from Queens, Brooklyn." He smiled. "A lot of people think I'm weird. Do you think I'm weird?" He asked.
"Absolutely not." You gawked. He let out a throaty laugh. "Good, because I'm gonna be your best friend." He held a fist you first-bumped him.
