You told me once that you smoke
to just forget about the world
And you smoked a lot back then
like what were you trying to forget?
Were you running away from problems
I know you had many.
With your parents, your brothers and friends
and I really tried to help
That's when it all began
drifting apart and loosing it all
You loved your cigarettes more than me
your loneliness and self-pity
I would smoke too,
I'd smoke to die,
if that's what you'd like
but there's nothing more I hate than smoking
yet I'd still do it for you
Shame on me.
