He didn't respond.
He looked at me. Such sadness in his eyes. His band was glowing blue, oh, glowing such a bright blue. I didn't know if he was going to survive.
"P-please, hold on."
Everyone else had crowded around him as well. We all shared the same thought, 'Is he going to get better?' I sank into the wheelchair.
Suddenly, a nurse walked into the room and pushed through the crowd.
"Sorry, Dan can't have visitors at the moment. He's in a critical condition and needs to be attended to instantly. He's losing blood rapidly. It would be recommended that all of you leave. I'm terribly sorry about what happened to your friend and hope we can get him better soon."
Under his breath, I heard Troye whisper, "Haha. 'Soon'."
"P-phil," Louise quietly said. "I think we should go."
I nodded. "Alright."
We all quietly left. As we piled into Louise's car, Melanie spoke up. "What will happen to Dan?"
Connor shook his head. "I don't know."
"Do you know where he was injured, Phil?" Troye looked at me.
"N-no... I think somewhere above the waist," I stuttered, burying my face in my hands.
Tyler glanced apologetically at me. "I think he'll be fine."
Chris patted my back. "We can figure something out, right?" He nudged PJ.
PJ had fallen asleep and slowly raised his head. "W-what?"
"Nevermind," I said, shaking my head.
I hope Dan pulls through.
