I'm trying to cope with all of the horrific thoughts I have of Katniss.
I can't do this anymore.
I can't. I'm done trying.
She doesn't love me. It was all an act.
An act to survive.
"Peeta?" Her horrible voice echoes through the house.
Sometimes it's hard to believe I loved someone so awful. Someone so full of pain and hatred.
"Go away!" I yell from my room.
I'm not having an attack.
I'm just done loving a cold-hearted bit...
"Peeta I want to talk to you!" Her voice sounds desperate.
Like she actually wants to talk to me.
She must want something from me.
I walk downstairs and I see her.
Her once shiny brown hair has turned dull. Her once beautiful, soft, delicate skin has turned rough.
No I didn't just love her for her looks.
I loved the way she sang, the way she didn't care what people thought of her.
I loved the way her lips felt on mine.
I just...loved her.
"What do you want?" My voice full of irritation.
"You haven't left this damn house in over a month, so don't you dare ask me what I want! Everyone is worried about you. I'm worried about you."
"You don't have to act anymore, Snow is dead."
She bites her bottom lip and winces.
It's all an act though. For some strange reason she won't stop the damn act!
"I can't do this anymore Katniss! Stop acting! Please."
She throws her hands up in the air.
I can tell she's frustrated.
She has no reason to be frustrated, I on the other hand have every reason to be.
"Fine. I'll stop coming to check on you."
"No stop acting like you love me when you don't!"
"But I do! I do love you, and it kills me to see you like this."
And that was the last string.
That was all I could take.
For some unknown reason she refused to stop the act.
Maybe she felt bad for me.
She shouldn't, I quit loving her a long time ago.
"You shouldn't love me, because I quit loving you the moment you left me behind in that arena! The moment you left me behind for Snow to take and torture!"
Her thin figure slowly walks away.
I broke her. I hurt her.
I don't care though.
She hurt me, so many times.
She let the capital capture me.
It killed me when they made me watch those videos of the women I once loved, murdering people.
But I suppose that part was mostly the capitals fault.
But the acting in the arena, that was all Katniss.
Of course it helped us survive, but had I known it was just an act, I wouldn't have wanted to survive.
"Goodbye Peeta." She says ever so quietly.
The words that came out of her mouth, were the words I'd wanted to hear since the Quarter Quell.
"Goodbye." I reply.

I'm sorry I haven't updated in a long time, but I started a new school, and I'm kinda stressed rn.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy this.
This is just a story about if Peeta quit loving Katniss.
Before you comment "Omg you don't ship Everlark!" I wholeheartedly ship them, but this short story came to my mind and I had to write it.
