After I saw what he tweeted, I decided that I wasn't going to sit around and wait for him to come knocking at my door, which he probably never would've
I walked out of my room and across the hall. I knocked on his door until I heard him opening it
He looked up and I saw his yes light up a little until they turned rude again "What do you want"
"To talk" I said pushing him out of my way and walked into his room
He sat on his bed and I laid down sighing and looking at the ceiling
"Okay you came all this way" He exaggerated making the corners of my mouth curve up for a bit until they went back down
I sat up and looked him in the eyes "You're a real dick you know that"
He looked at me lightly nodding and accepting that I need to get out what I'm about to
"I sat around waiting for you to call me back or text me back or even look me in the eye. I have no idea what your problem is but you don't tell people you love them and then not talk to them"
"I know I'm just I'm" He cut himself off by placing his head in his hands
"What" I said rather harshly. When he didn't answer I got up and walked to the door
"A year ago I was grocery shopping for my girlfriend and I. I wanted to surprise her with dinner because I got off work early that day. I headed on my way home expecting my girlfriends happy face but what I got was her face on my best friends. She saw me but kept kissing him, she said it was "meant to be". I guess I'm just scared. Scared that it will happen again. And I know you're a great person but so was she and I don't want to be too cautious about this. I just need you to tell me that this will last like I want it to, like we want it to"
I looked down "I'm sorry I had no idea" I said feeling tears fall down my cheeks
I sat on the bed next to him and laid my head on his shoulder "Why didn't you tell me? I could've helped you" I said as he turned and wiped away my tears with his thumbs
"I didn't want to bother you, you were working and that was when we were in that two year long fight about God knows what" He laughed making me laugh
"Yes it will" I said breaking the silence after we finished laughing
"What?"
"Yes it will last"
