Ashton let out an adorable chuckle at my inexperience and opened his bottle as well.

"Can we play beer pong?" Natalie suggested. Everyone in the group nodded, and I went along with it. We followed Michael to his empty kitchen table.

"How do you play?" I asked as Michael set up all the cups and poured the beer in.

"Well," Ashton said, leaning down so I could hear him. "You get into teams and then one team goes first, and you try bounce the balls into the cups, and at the end, every cup that has a ball in it the opposing team has to drink."

I nodded, and it seemed simple enough. Michael and Calum finished setting the cups up and got out ping pong balls from somewhere.

"Groups of two?" Michael said. Everyone agreed.

"Looks like your with me, babe." Ashton said to me. His words sounded faint in my ears, and I could tell the alcohol was already taking over my system, but I didn't care.

Ashton and I stepped up to the table. The music seemed to get louder, and my heart race started to pick up. Engery surged through me as the game went on. I was actually quite good at it, and so was Ashton. I could tell everyone else was getting very drunk with with each round.

Michael and Sydney got all 6 balls in all 6 cups. I could diffeidently tell the alcohol was taking over me. I picked up two cups, as well as Ashton and we did "cheers" and chugged them down. The beer tasted amazing, and I never would have thought something so foul could be so amazing. Ashton was obiously very drunk as well, and he looked at me with a sloppy smile and squinted eyes as we both down one more cup. I grabbed him by the hands and gently kissed him, the alcohol on his lips felt even better than the alcohol in the bottles that seemed to surround me. Ashton hasilty wrapped his fingers around mine again as the game went
on.

...

Pretty soon, Calum pulled out a pack of cigarettes.

"WHERE DID YOU GET ThoSE???" Ashton said, stumbling over to him and taking them. His drunk voice was raspy and sexy, and the way he carried his stumbling body was very attractive and I don't know why.

I don't know what came over me, but I didn't stop it. I forcefully grabbed Ashton by the hand, pulling him away from Calum. "Whats up?" Ashton said, putting his full attention on me. "Come over here." I said, pulling him out of the kitchen. He looked confused, but he followed me. I hastily pushed passed people, looking through the doors in Michael's house until I found what I was looking for: the guest room.

No one was in here, and I nearly dragged Ashton in after me. "Brooke, are you okay?" Ashton asked, he was obviously still drunk, but he seemed concerned.

"Yes, I'm fine." I replied. The room fell silient for a second. I looked at him, and he looked at me.

It was as if he read my mind again, and we both practically attacked eachother at the same time.

Ashton wrapped his muscular arms around my wasit and pulled me to his body, instanlty crashing his lips into mine. The alcohol and nicotiene tasted amazing as our toungues battled one another. I wrapped my arms around his neck and I was shoved against the wall as Ashton moved his lips with mine.

"I see how it is." Ashton smirked, the chemicals in his system making his voice raspy as hell. He moved his lips onto my neck and sucked gently on my skin, making a low groan comeout of my mouth.

"Ashton-"

"Shhh."

He continued to kiss my neck, and I felt a strong grip on my thighs. I was instantly lifted up into the air, my back still against the wall. My eyes shot open and they met Ashton's blazing gaze as I wrapped my legs around his waist. I felt his big hands run down my back and down to my ass and I let out a little scream, which made Ashton smirk in satisfaction. I continued to kiss him, and now it ws my turn. I had absolutely no idea I was capable of doing this, but I was utterly surprised and impressed with myself as I cupped my hands gently around Ashton's face and removed his lips from my shivering collarbones. I pushed his messy hair out of his face as I planted my lips on his jaw line. A throaty moan echoed through my ears and it made my heart race.

"Fucking shit, Brooke."

"Say my name again."

"Brooke." His voice was low and it was almost a whipser as he breathed into my ear.

I felt my back leave the wall, and I kept my lips on Ashton's as he caried to hell knows where. I felt our bodies tilt, and he gently layed me down on the bed. Our shaking hands met eachother, and our fingers intertwined as he held himself over my body. His toned stomach and hips grinded into mine, and I could feel the heat between us two rising within every second that passed. I gripped his shirt from his back, and struggled to pull it off. Ashton let out a low smurk and took it off himself. The low lighting in the room only made his muscles look more beautiful than I expected. His stomach was as if it was sculpted by Gods and I could feel the muscles on his back as I ran my hands down his back.

"Ashton-"

"I can make you scream, Brooke." His voice was still low and rough, but there was a hint on gentleness in his tone.

"Just do it-"

Suddenly, the door opened. My eyes shot open and met Ashton's for a split second before we both looked over. The alcohol seemed to drain me instantly, and I was pissed off. Calum walked in and looked at us with wide eyes. Ashton shot him a look that said 'Why now, Calum?'

"Well shit." Calum said. He instantly turned back and left the room in one swift motion. Ashton sighed and rolled off me. I sighed quietly, but thought about how bad it would've been if we went any farther than that. Even though that was amazing, I knew better.

"Well that soberred me up." Ashton laughed, standing up.

"I hear ya." I said standing up as well.

"I guess thats a good thing," Ashton said as he threw his shirt back on. "Cause I wanna show you something."

I nodded and followed him out of the room. We walked passed all the people in Michael's house, and finally made it to the living room. We saw Michael, Calum, Natalie, and Sydney all in the spot we left them in. Michael cocked his eyebrows at Ashton and I could see Ashton trying not to blush out of the corner of my eyes. We exited Michael's house and made it onto the sidewalk. I looked down at my phone to see it was only 11 pm.

"Its walking distance," Ashton said, grabbing my hand for the 100th time that night. "Stay close." I nodded and followed him down Michael's quiet street. We walked in silence for a while, but it wasn;t an awkward silence. It was more of an tired silence, from what just happened 5 minutes ago.

We came down to the end of the street, and I looked down the interesction to see speeding cars, more junky houses, and down town not too far away. I looked up at Ashton. He was looking down the streets, his eyes narrowed as he scoped the area, like he was making sure it was safe to walk. I smiled at this, and I felt safe. We took a turn down the street and walked. Ashton's hand felt warm and secure around mine, and I managed to relax my tensed muscles as we continued to walk. It seemed like years, happy years, but years of walking until we finally reached the enterance to the Strip/downtown.

"This way." Ashton instructed. I nodded, and I was really confused as to where we were going. Finally, about 300 yards away from the enterance to downtown, he stopped. I looked up to see the frame of a run down building. I was very confused. "Whaaa?"

"You like looking at stars, right?" he asked me.

"Of course." I replied. Ashton smiled and led me into it.

It was old, big, and dark. "Ashton, why are we here?" I asked. I was kind of scared, to be honest.

"We're looking at the view, silly." Ashton laughed as we ran up the stairs. It looked like it used to be a buisness building, with floor upon floor upon floor of emptyness and darkness. We kept going up the stairs until I was about to burst from the pain in my legs. "Almost there." Ashton assured. We finally made it to the top floor and Ashton opened a door that led to the roof.

I was instantly taken back by the cold breezes up here. I looked around and noticed Ashton looking up into the sky. I looked up and I was surprised by all the stars you could see from this high up. "Come over here." Ashton said, taking my hand again. He led me over to the edge. There was a boundary along the edges that was bout 6 feet tall. You know, so no one falls. We walked over and I gasped at the view.

You could literally see every aspect of Las Veags. The hotels, the bright city lights, the racing cars on the highways, the quiet neighborhoods scattered about, the mountains in the distace. It was absolutely beautiful.

"How do you find this stuff?" I asked. Ashton shrugged and smiled. "I don't know," He repiled. "I just like views I guess."

I continued to look at the city below us, and I felt on top of the world. This building had to be at least 250 feet tall. It was random, but I could see Ashton coming up here a lot. Ashton leaned slightly towards the open air and I grabbed his forearm.

"You know you shouldn't get too close to the edge." I told him. "You could fall."

"Yeah, you're right." Ashton agreed, stepping back with me. He sighed tiredly and wrapped his warm arms around my waist from behind the rested his chin on my head. I could feel the steady beat of his heart against my back as we stood in silence for a couple minutes, just looking at the city below us.

"I'm sorry I'm so awkward." Ashton said, breaking the quietness. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Have you seen me?" I laughed.

"I'm serious!" Ashton laughed as well. "Its just.. I don't know. Its never been like this for me. Its always been like, a one time thing and that girl never talks to me again. Its weird for me, because I've never been actually nervous around a girl..or anyone, for that matter."

"I know what you mean," I replied. "For me, its always been school, school, school. I always cared so much about that stuff I never wasted my time on guys because I didn't think it mattered. I got so caught up in Nick because I thought he was actually a good guy. When he asked me out, I felt so special, because thats never happened to me before."

I felt Ashton nod, as his chin was still rested on my head.

"I feel stupid, because I didn't even ask you out on a date or anything."

"Pft, Ashton," I assured. "You were right there for me when Nick played me last week, and you got my mind off everything and I actually had so much fun, and you told me so many things that made me honored to know about you."

My mind went back to last week. It was only a week ago that I thought I had a chance with Nick. It was only a week ago that Ashton and I had fought, and I was too naive to believe anything he was saying. Just thinking of everything that has happened in the past 6 or 7 days made my head hurt.

"Its amazing," I said. "How much can change in such a short amount of time."

"Well, you know what they say." Ashton said.

"What do they say?" I asked.

"You know, about life being a chase and all."

What the hell was this boy talking about.

"Ashton are still drunk?" I joked.

"I'm serious! Think about it..." His voice trailed off. "...Nothing ever stays the same, things are always changing, we're always moving, we're always running our asses off, metaphorically of course, to get things done and quench that thirst we have for sucess and happiness. Like, people just ignore the actual things in life that make it worth living to just get the things that don't mean shit. I know, I sound like a hippie whos done way too much crack, but its true."

I tilted my head to the side, and thought about it for a minute. It was actually very true, and I can relate to this alot.

I've always had that drive, to be perfect. To get good grades and do the right thing and be just a boring, suburban teenager who took things too seriously. Last week, I was caring about Nick, going to his stupid party and obviously not taking enough time to get to know this guy and learn that he's a complete jerk because I was so caught up in the fact that a popular, rich, preppy boy "liked" me. Going to Michael's house tonight with Ashton, and just lettng myself go and not caring what anyone thought because everyone was excepting of it was so much better than I would have ever thought it would be.

Ashton's words sounded beautiful coming out of his mouth. I felt bad for the way I completely underestimated him in the beginning, because of the way he dressed and the way he acted and the way he lived. Turns out, he's a brilliant person. Sure, math isn't his thing, But just the way he says things like this absolutely amazes me.

"I'm glad this happened." I said after an extremely long pause.

"Tonight?" He asked. I looked up and met my gaze with his.

"No..well yes, but....just, everything." I leaned up and locked my lips with his again. We untangled our arms from eachother and he took my hand. "We should get going," He said. "Its cold as fuck up here."

We laughed and ran down the flights and flights of stairs.
