Dear Bucky,
I am writing this letter from Eliza's house.
Something terrible happened, James. Our apartment burned down. I managed to save the letters and a picture of you, but I lost everything else.
It was the middle of the night, and I heard screaming in the hallway. I sat up and smelled smoke, and that was when it all became a blur. I grabbed the two most important things in sight and ran down the fire escape. And that was when the entire building exploded into flames. I barely made it out alive, James.
I don't know what to do. I can't afford another apartment right, now, and if I could, I couldn't afford anything to put in it.
I'm so lost. I need you more than ever right now.
