*Kirsten's POV*
I was going to try to tell my dad about Hunter without making him freak out, but I knew I couldn't do it by myself.
I decided I would tell my sister first because I know she would overreact like my dad would.
I peaked my head out of my doorway, "Ashleigh?"
"what's up?"
"Can I talk to you?" I asked her politely.
"Are you pregnant?"
"NO" I screamed.
"Okay good," she said laughing, "what's up?"
"Please don't tell dad"
"Oh my freaking god Kirsten what did you do"
"oh my god Ashleigh you're making me seem evil," I said laughing.
"Just tell me what happened," she said laughing
"I have an internet best friend"
"Oh really? That's so cool"
"Was that sarcastic?" I said squinting my eyes.
"No I actually think that's really cool," Ashleigh said.
"So what's there name, where do they live?"
"His name is Hunter, he lives in Arizona and he lives with his mom and two brothers"
"Aww that's so cute, do you talk a lot?"
"All the time"
"Awe is he cute?"
I unlocked my phone and showed her this picture~
"Awe he's adorable," Ashleigh said.
"Stop hitting on my best friend"
Ashleigh put her hands up in surrender, "sorry" she said laughing.
So what's the whole point out of this?
"I wanna meet him, in person"
"awe that would be so cute"
"But do you think dad would be okay with it?"
"Honestly, I don't know, but I'll talk to him with you so you aren't alone"
"Thank you so much Ash"
"No problem, now, let's go," she said signaling me to follow her.
I take my phone and a deep breath, please dad, let me meet Hunter.
*convo with dad, Kirsten, and Ashleigh*
"Dad," Ashleigh started.
"Oh god, I can already tell this is nothing good" dad said in a low tone.
"You have to promise no matter what that you won't get mad at Kirsten,"
"ARE YOU PREGNANT" dad screamed.
"NO WHAT IS WITH THIS FAMILY AND BABIES"
"Nothing" dad said putting his head down.
"So what happened?" dad asked suspiciously.
"I have an Internet best friend," I said as my eyes filled with slight tears"
"What does that mean?" Dad asked.
"I have a best friend, but I met him over the Internet, and he lives in America"
"KIRSTEN MARIE WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT TALKING TO PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET"
"BUT DAD WERE REALLY GOOD FRIENDS"
"HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT, IT COULD BE A 70-YEAR-OLD MAN LOOKING AT LITTLE GIRLS LIKE YOU"
"but dad he's not like that," I said while the tears release from my eyes like waterfalls.
"I don't care, you stop talking to this American boy, and you are staying right here, in Greece"
"UGH I HATE YOU," I said as I stomped out of the room into my bedroom.
"You really need to learn to have a normal temper," Ashleigh said to dad as she chased after me.
"Kirsten, what are you doing?"
"IM TEXTING HUNTER"
K~ Hunter, I can't stop crying
H~ omg baby girl what happened?
K~ I told my dad about you
H~ so is that happy tears or disappointment?
K~ disappointment.
H~ awe baby what happened?
K~ he said that he doesn't trust you because I only talk to you through a screen and you can't trust people through the Internet
H~ baby, don't cry, I don't want you to cry, I want you to be happy.
K~ but how can I be happy if I can't meet you?
H~ FaceTime me right now bbyg
I called Hunter and wiped my tears away.
"Baby, I don't want to see you cry, smile for me?"
I smiled widely.
(This is Kirsten smiling for Hunter's FaceTime)
"Kirsten," Ashleigh started off
"what," I said as my tears start to calm down.
"You know I'm an adult right, I'm over the age of 18"
"And your point is?"
"Kirsten, I can take you to the United States"
My eyes lit up, "are you really going to take me to the United States to see Hunter?"
"If that's what you want, that can be your Christmas gift for this year"
"YES YES YES OH MY GOD YES," I said as I hugged Ashleigh tight.
My smile is so wide, "aaaaaggghhhh Hunter were gonna meet"
"Oh my god Kirsten that's amazing!!!!" Hunter said with excitement.
Dad knocked on the door and I gasped, "oh my gosh Hunter I gotta go but I love you I'll talk to later" and I blew him a kiss.
"Love you too" and I hung up.
"What are you doing?" Dad asked.
"Nothing," I said smiling.
"Whatever, dinner is ready let's go"
I rolled my eyes and put my phone on the charger as I followed dad to the dining room.
After dinner I was finished, I started thinking, is it okay with Hunter's family that I come? Is Hunter's mom going to be okay with his son hugging and telling he loves a total stranger to him? How is he going to meet me? Am I going to drive to his house? Will I meet his brothers?
Everything in my head starts to get second-guessed.
"Ashleigh?"
"Yeah?" Ashleigh said poking her head into the doorway of my bedroom.
"Thank you," I said "for doing this for me"
"Well I know you really wanna see this Hunter guy, and I know dad is difficult, and hey? what are sisters for?"
I got up and hugged her tight, "your the best sister ever
"Thanks," she said laughing, "but get some sleep, it's getting late, goodnight"
"Goodnight," I said.
I tucked myself into bed, but I couldn't sleep.
All I could think about was flying to America with Ashleigh and meeting my best friend, this couldn't get any better.
