I don’t exactly remember my inspiration for this poem, but I think I wrote this as a self-help poem, because I was somewhat hooked to being sad (yeah, it’s totally weird, but I like it), but not to the point of things like emo-and-the-stuff-like-alcohol-drugs-violence-suicide-and-others-hidden-between-the-lines, not that kind of thing, but it was because maybe I had dreams and aspirations that I’m rushing to achieve, and that somehow saddens me because I don’t wait for things to come into my life, and those are the things that will only be attained in the far future ahead of me, but anyway, I won’t explain much because I’ve got stuff (he-he, now you know who I am, that’s why don’t ask for anything like those little things.) Anyway, I’m just sad that’s why I wrote this, that’s all. :)))))

DEFINITION

I hear a distant call within

So far away in empty space

A faded vision seeping in

A sphere of thoughts and wires and lace

A cup of tea amidst the rain

Like salty tears engraved in dust

A moon embracing shadows wane

Like old deteriorating rust

A sharpened note in songs so sweet

Brings forth an ocean from afar

A flattened note in words to greet

Remembers all that were, that are

A withered rose amongst the snow

Reminds me of the butterflies

A shaded star amongst the glow

Reminisces the clouded skies

A wand’ring soul in urban dream

Like outcasts in a desert storm

A blank page in a worded ream

Like broken novels without form

A hand that searches for a pair

In dis’ppearing reasons to smile

An eye that finds for lovers’ lair

In restless waters all worthwhile

A heavy heart in lightweight case

With much of things unsaid, undone

A tired soul so old in days

With flooded minds and all and none

A nonexistent dot alive

Like swaying leaves in autumn roads

An ultimatum: abyss dive

Like pendulums and sounding nodes

A damp of warmth in frozen heart

Doth stir the blood from endless sleep

A touch of taste in every part

Doth break the locks from torment weep

A burning ray in winter coat

Awaken sense in breathing flare

A beat of light’s uplifting float

Raise entity to hopeful stair

I hear the call again, again

A cry in thousand directions

But what goes next? And then, and then

A cry in million dimensions

I see, I see, a phantom there

So verisimilar to me

But does it lead? To where, to where

To sunset beaches, to the sea

I follow to horizons there

Kaleidoscope of life’s motion

And, yes, it leads! To where, to where

The waters make a reflection
