"Okay, do you have your-" Sydney cuts her older brother off, nodding. "And-" Again, she nods, knowing she's packed everything. "Okay, okay. It's just I'm not going back with you, so I'm kind of scared." Axl shrugs.
Under his tough act, the boy adores his little sister. Years of caring for her when her parents were too caught up in themselves to do so made sure of that. Going to her ballet recitals when she was younger and being the only member of her family to actually show up, hugging her exceptionally tight so she wouldn't be too bummed to see the two empty chairs where her parents were supposed to be. He was the one who encouraged her singing and the one who drove her to auditions. After her agent told them about the Walking Dead audition he'd gotten her, Axl was the one who got in a plane with her eleven year old self and supported her.
"Axl, I've got everything. Besides, it's just a week. I'm gonna spend all my time in the studio either way, so it's cool." Sydney smiles, though her brother sees through it.
"Still hasn't returned your calls?" He asks, making her sigh and shake her head. He hugs her tightly, kissing the top of her head, before urging her to go grab her bag so they can get a move on.
