why do they always come up with nicknames for every single person literally 0.2 seconds after they meet
and it's not even shortened versions of their names, either. calling teresa "T" is normal because i know a lot of teresas who have that nickname but some of the ones for TMR are ridiculous

Newt: Newtie, Newtella
Thomas: Tom, Tommy
Chuck: Chuckie, Chuckles

one time a girl called newt "newtles" (like noodles) and i almost slammed my head into my keyboard
it's cool if you want to call newt "noot" or minho "papa min-min" (i feel like an old woman because i .... didn't know this was a thing until recently) in the comments but PLEASE keep them out of fanfiction
technically these are already their nicknames so you're giving them a nickname for their nickname. did you ever think about that?? pow. mind blown.
