••Johnson's POV••
"I told you not to stay up all night but did you listen?" Gilinsky asked as we walked out of Subway, I groaned
"I was talking to my girlfriend, do I have to remind you that you do the same thing?" I asked him
"Your fiancé." He corrected
"Don't change subject." I squinted my eyes at him, he chuckled
"Alright fine, we're both whipped happy?" He asked I rolled my eyes
"Have you told her about the-
"No, she's worried about my career and college I'll just wait till she graduates." I said cutting him off
"It's best if she knows Jack." He said sternly, unlocking the car as we both got in. I sighed and closed the door.
"She will, just not now." I shrugged
"I'm not saying she'll get mad, she won't it's just she deserves to know, she's your fiancé." He said driving off. I nodded
"What if she doesn't want to?" I asked
"Marry you? I'm pretty sure the ring on her finger says otherwise." He said
"No, not that, you know what I mean." I sighed
"Why wouldn't she? You love her and she loves you, I don't see why she wouldn't." He replied
"I asked her if she wanted babies, she said yes but not now, so does that mean she wouldn't want to move in with me?" I asked him. He chuckled and shook his head.
"You're over exaggerating Jack, moving in together and having babies is a huge difference." He said to me
"I just want to have a family with her." I mumbled
"I know you do Jack, but you're both young right now, live life, and if you want babies in the future then go ahead, but it's too soon. I know you have everything planned out but are you sure she does?" He asked, I frowned and shook my head
"Jack." He sighed
"If it's meant for you guys to have babies it'll happen, but don't rush it, that never works." He said. He's right, and I hate that. I have my whole future planned out with Alex and I don't know if she's even thought about it, I know she loves me and I love her, I guess I'm so excited that I'll marry her in the near future that I'm already planning what's gonna happen after that, and I shouldn't do that, I should let things take it's course, that's what I'll do.
"Don't stress about it, everything will be alright." Gilinsky assured, snapping me out of my thoughts. I sighed and nodded, he's right.
"Yeah, how's things with you and Madison?" I asked changing topic, as much as I love talking about Alex it's weird when she's not around.
"We're good." He smiled and nodded
"Are we expecting a ring soon?" I grinned teasingly. He chuckled
"I don't know, should I?" He asked stopping at a red light and running his hand through his hair as he turned to me
"If you like it put a ring on it." I shrugged, he rolled his eyes and chuckled, probably thinking he has the weirdest best friend in the world
"I love her, I'm just nervous." He sighed
"You think I wasn't?" I scoffed
"I proposed on her birthday, ten times the pressure." I chuckled
"Yeah, I wouldn't be able to do that." He chuckled shaking his head
"When you truly love her, you can do anything." I nodded
"Yeah I know." He smiled and nodded
"If you were to propose, how would you do it?" I asked as he drove off.
"I don't know, it's so hard to come up with unique ways." He sighed
"That's true, try something simple." I suggested
"I don't know." He mumbled
"Come on, it's Madison, she doesn't care where it happens, or how, I'm sure as soon as you show her the ring she'll scream and say yes." I chuckled He smiled and shook his head, I really do see a future with them, she's nineteen and he's twenty one, two years strong must mean something right? I'm not gonna lie at first I wasn't the biggest fan of Madison, but with time I got saw that she wasn't all bad, and I gave her a chance.
I really wish I could say that for me and Alex, that we were strong, but we weren't, well she wasn't, but I can't necessarily blame her. I've known her all my life, and although I've never understood why, she's always been insecure about herself, and I know proposing to her seemed to soon, but like I said, we've known each other all our lives, and although we didn't date that long, I know that she's the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with, with her and nobody else but her
"Yeah, I'm probably just over thinking it." Gilinsky shrugged
"You are, I think it's harder when you think about it then actually doing it." I said to him, he nodded
"To be honest, I always thought I'd be the one to propose first." He chuckled
"Why, you think I don't got game?" I teased, he rolled his eyes
"Obviously you do, you have since before we left Omaha." He laughed, I smirked and nodded
"I never thought I would be engaged to her." I mumbled
"In a way, I kinda did. When we left and you told me how you really felt I just knew you two would reunite and be together." He said proudly
"Ok Mr. Fortune Teller." I said sarcastically
"Hey, if I weren't a musician I'm sure I'd make it as a Fortune Teller." He said in a matter of fact, I scoffed and rolled my eyes
"One prediction doesn't make you a qualified Fortune Teller, Gilinsky." I said shaking my head, he shrugged
'That's why I'm a musician." He winked, I chuckled
"If you do propose to Madison, where do you want to live?" I asked
"I don't know, depends where she wants." He shrugged
"Yeah, let the woman make the decisions." I teased
"Shut up, you know we wouldn't be able to live without them." He laughed, I nodded
"That is very true, I don't see a life without Alex in it." I smiled to myself
"God Jack, you're such a cheese ball." He teased
"Listen Jack, I'm proud of that so it doesn't faze me." I huffed crossing my arms and tilting my chin up
"Fake blonde." He joked, I gasped
"You're my best friend?" I asked turning to look at him, he smirked
"Lucky for you." He nodded in response, I rolled my eyes
"I love LA." I mumbled sticking my hand out the window.
"Who wouldn't?" Gilinsky asked
"A lot of people." I chuckled as I brought it back in
"That's true." He laughed
"It's getting late." I sighed as I slouched back on the seat, from the side I could see the sun starting to set, not that I mind it's just I haven't talked to Alex the whole day, I hate distance, me and Jack had a lot of things to do so we haven't been at the house the whole day
I just miss her in general, her laugh, her smile, the way she crinkles her nose when I make an inappropriate joke, it just makes her even more cute than she already is, and I have no idea how that's possible, but I have the rest of my life to find out.
"I'm guessing you're still gonna call Alex when we get home?" He teased
"Hell yeah I am." I nodded
"Ok, just be quiet with the I Love You's." He groaned as he parked on our driving way.
"Just cause you text Madison and I video chat Alex doesn't make it any different." I huffed
"No, but I don't say cheesy things all the time." He joked
"You just don't get the ladies." I said getting out of the car, he chuckled as he got out also
"If I have to remind you, I have a girlfriend." He said as I inserted the key inside the key hole
"I don't recall." I joked as I walked in
"Whatever Johnson." He chuckled as he walked up to his room. I grabbed my laptop from the couch and set it on my lap as I sat down. I let it turn on before clicking on Skype and pressing her contact that said

"Couldn't stay away I see." Alex grinned as she ate a chip
"From my fiancé? Never." I shook my head making her blush
"How was your day?" I asked
"Ohhh wait." She said getting up from her bed and walking away so I couldn't see her
"Found it!" She squealed as she threw herself on the bed making the camera face the roof, I chuckled
"Sorry." She blushed as she fixed the camera
"Such a better view." I winked
"Stop flattering me." She giggled as she shook her head
"What did you want to show me?" I asked her.
"Guess what I got." She smiled
"Pregnancy test?" I teased
"Jack!" She groaned and crossed her arms, I chuckled
"What? I'm not saying my pull out game is weak but you never know." I shrugged
"I'm leaving now." She huffed, standing up
"Ok! Baby I'm sorry!" I yelled as she sat back down and glared at me
"Can't you be serious?" She whined
"Ok, I promise I'll be serious." I said to her, she cracked a smile and nodded
"Now show me baby." I whined
"We did a good job." She said showing me a paper that said A+
"I told you!" I cheered as I threw my hands in the air making her giggle
"I know, I know." She waved me off
"The teacher said I did a great job since I didn't use a computer." She said setting it down
"We're framing that." I said to her
"But aren't you just glad I called last night?" I smirked
"Shut it Johnson, I'd probably would've gotten an A+ either way." She defended
"Never said you wouldn't." I said
"But anyways, enough about me. How was your day?" She asked sitting cris cross
"The usual, the studio with Gilinsky, lunch with Gilinsky, literally everything with Gilinsky." I chuckled
"Everything?" Alex teased, wiggling her eyebrows
"Eww, not like that Alex." I shivered and shook my head
"Good, I don't want Gilinsky stealing my boyfriend." She winked
"No one could steal me, my heart and soul belongs to you." I smiled at her
"There you go with the cheesy stuff!" Gilinsky yelled from upstairs
"What the hell." Alex giggled as she covered her mouth
"Shut up Jack!" I yelled back
"Never!!!" He yelled with a creepy laugh after it
"What the fuck." I mumbled and shook my head
"You have the weirdest best friend." Alex laughed
"Ok, that's true." I nodded, I'm not even gonna bother to deny it, cause we all know it
"I miss you." She said biting her lip and playing with her fingers, my heart fluttered
"I miss you too princess." I nodded
"But in a couple of months you'll graduate and we'll like probably get married or something." I shrugged making her smile and look up at me
"Or something." She said
"Yeah." I whispered and nodded, she yawned and hid her face
"Babe you're tired." I frowned since she's staying up cause of me
"No, I'm not." She lied and shook her head.
"Princess, get some sleep. We'll talk tomorrow." I assured her
"But we barely even talked today Jay." She frowned
"I know, and I'm sorry, but I promise I'll make it up to you." I smiled, she sighed and nodded
"I love you." I said making her smile
"So so much." I added
"I love you way more." She said
"That's highly impossible but believe what you want." I shrugged.
"Goodnight Jack, I'll talk to you tomorrow." She smiled
"Goodnight princess, we will and I'm sorry for not talking to you as much as usual." I sighed
"It's ok, I got to see your face. That's enough for me." She assured
"I have a feeling you only like me cause of my looks." I pouted, teasing her. She rolled her eyes
"The ring on my finger says otherwise." She said showing it to me
"Fuck yeah, it does." I nodded
"I also wanted to tell you that Gilinsky might propose to Madison." I said to her, she squealed
"That's awesome!" She cheered
"I think you're more excited than Madison, and Gilinsky hasn't even proposed yet." I chuckled
"It's just so cute, don't ruin the moment Jack." She huffed and crossed her arms, I chuckled and put my hands up in defense and nodded
"I'm sorry princess." I smiled
"Now, go to sleep." I said sternly
"But Jay!" She whined
"No, you have college tomorrow Missy." I said teasingly
"I rather be in your arms." She huffed
"I'd rather be kissing you but we can't all get what we want, now can we?" I raised a brow.
"Yes we can, come back." She pouted
"I'd want nothing more princess, but I can't." I sighed with a frown.
"I know." She nodded, fuck how I wish I was there to hug her. Being miles away from her is so hard, I can't hug her, kiss her, I can't do anything but call and text her, and that really isn't enough. As I stared at her I noticed a little red thing on her wrist
"Babe, what's that?" I asked pointing to it, she looked at it and her eyes went wide
"Nothing." She shook her head as she put her hand down.
"Babe." I said sternly
"Ok." She sighed and showed it to me, it was a little broken red heart, how come I didn't notice before? Did she barely get it?
"When did you get it?" I asked
"A couple of days ago." She shrugged
"And you didn't tell me?" I asked
"What's it mean?" I asked
"When I called it off, I was broken hearted, so yeah." She mumbled looking down.
"So you got a tattoo?" I asked
"Jack, can we not talk about it." She signed
"Not talk about it? My girlfriend-no my fiancé has a tattoo that I didn't even know about, because she was heart broken when she broke up with me?" I scoffed
"How do you think I felt?" I asked starting to get angry
"It's not like that Jack-
"I don't care, you didn't even bother to tell me Alex." I snickered cutting her off
"We were dating by that time, why the fuck didn't you get it when you first broke up with me?" I spat
"Are we seriously fighting over this?" She mumbled
"I'm not just raising my voice for no reason Alex." I snapped
"I didn't tell you cause I knew this would be your reaction!" She exclaimed, I rolled my eyes.
"I have a right to be angry Alex!" I yelled back
"YOU broke up with ME not the other way around." I sneered
"So what? Doesn't mean I wasn't hurting Jack." She said, her voice cracking. I sighed and ran my hand through my hair
"You know what? Just forget it, goodnight Jack." She sniffled before ending the call.
"Fuck." I groaned
"What happened?" Gilinsky asked walking down
"Alex has a tattoo." I mumbled
"What is it?" He asked
"A broken heart." I sighed
"Oh." He mumbled, I nodded
"That's what you guys were fighting about?" He asked
"It sounds so stupid now, but yeah." I mumbled
"I made her cry." I frowned
"God I'm a horrible fiancé." I groaned and shook my head
"You guys had a fight?" He asked sitting next to me, I nodded
"She got a tattoo, so what? She was heart broken, so were you, I didn't hear much but she got it not long ago right?" He asked, I nodded
"Maybe it was a way of her putting that past her, the break up and all, maybe now all she cares about is graduating college and getting married with her fiancé." He explained
"Who's now mad at her for getting it." He sighed
"Shit." I mumbled, if I would've let her talk I'm sure that's what she would've said, after all her and Gilinsky were friends before I was, sure I knew him first but they started hanging before me and Alex did
"Don't stress about it, you're Jack and Alex, you're meant to be together." He assured as he patted my back, I nodded as I shut my laptop
We said our good nights and went up to our rooms, as I laid down on my bed I couldn't help but feel guilty, fuck I made her cry, how could I do that? I grabbed my phone and sent her a text

Princess, I'm so sorry, I had literally no right to get mad at you. I was being a dick and let the anger get the best of me, I'm so sorry I made you cry, I hope you're ok, I love you so much, I wish I was there to hug you, but I can't and I'm sorry for that too. I'll call you tomorrow, if you answer it means that you aren't that mad, if you don't, then I'll understand. Goodnight princess❤ I love you, and once again. I'm sorry

I really hope she reads this before she goes to bed, I truly love her and I never meant to make her cry, I don't think she'll forgive me if I'm being honest, I hope she does though. But if she doesn't I'll understand, I was such an asshole to her and I made her cry, I don't even remember the last time I made her cry, it was probably when we were kids though, and now I made her cry, as my fiancé, fuck I really hate distance right now. I just hope that tomorrow she talks to me

I know Maggie has other tattoos and that it doesn't mean what I wrote but for the sake of the story let's just say it does😂 I don't know why but I kinda wanted them to fight, cause yanno real life relationships aren't always lovey dovey, they actually fight, like a lot.
