Sometimes my mind is wonderful

Sometimes my mind is wild

Sometimes my mind is bright and free

And dances like a child


Sometimes my heart is lighted

Sometimes my heart is whole

Sometimes my heart is burning flames

Of embers and of coal


Sometimes my soul is present

Sometimes my soul is loud

Sometimes my soul is open and kind

And lets itself be found


Sometimes my mind is ugly

Sometimes my mind is dark

Sometimes my mind is cold and spiked

And covered in scars and marks


Sometimes my heart is heavy

Sometimes my heart is bleeding

Sometimes my heart is broken and done

And keeping me from breathing


Sometimes my soul is gone

Sometimes my soul is silent

Sometimes my soul is closed and mean

And virtually non existent.
