I waited up for August to get home. He's taking forever man Ima punch him soon as he walks in cause I know for a damn fact he's not still at that damn meeting. Just then I heard the front door open. I ran downstairs and saw August walking in. I ran up and punched him directly in the chest. " Yo, ma wtf was that for " August yelled grabbing my arms and pushing me up against the wall mad asf. " You left me here all day by myself and I know for a damn fact you were not still at that teacher's meeting, " I said. " If you hit me again you going to be in a hospital. The hell is wrong with you " August said in his NOLA accent in full effect. " Man try me. I'm none of these other girls I'll beat your ass " I said pushing him off me. " Yeah alright get your ass upstairs before I kick your ass, " August said pulling me towards the stairs. " No get off me, " I said pushing him pouting. " Man get your ass upstairs " August yelled sternly. " Ugh fine, " I said mad stomping upstairs. " You better stop that damn stomping in my house, " August said smacking my butt. " Get over here, " August said pulling me by my leg down on the bed and getting in between my legs. " Get off me " I yelled laughing. " No you play to much punk, " August said laughing kissing me. " Okay I'm sorry but change because you not too fresh right now, " I said trying to be as nice as possible saying that. " Damn baby girl my bad I went to work out after work lol, " August said laughing. " That's why you all sweaty, " I said laughing. " Yeah I'm going to go shower ill be back, " August said getting up and going to the bathroom. After about 30 minutes August came out the bathroom smelling like Dove body wash for men. I loved his smell. It's just so awesome. ( Their clothes are in the media. ) " What do you want for dinner, " I said. " You going to cook for me, " August said. " Yeah I can't let my man go hungry, " I said. " Well surprise me, " August said laughing. I walked downstairs and started cooking. I made August Chicken, Macaroni, Corn, Biscuits, and Green Beans. I made Brownies and he had ice cream so. I made August and my plate and I called him down to eat eat. August came down and sat down at the table to eat. I sat down with him. " Baby where did you learn how to cook this is delicious, " August said eating.
" Lol Thanks and I use to help my mom cook for my dad and Domo so I guess she taught me how. She was a great cook " I said continuing to eat. " What was your parents like " August asked. " My mom was great. She was so talented. She cared more about our family than anything. She had this spark her that made everyone love her. She was always smiling. Everyone says I have that same spark but no one can ever be like my mom " I said smiling. " What about your dad " August asked. " I didn't know him that well. I mean he was a dad. He worked all the time and he would try to be a part of our life but Domo knew him better. He always spent time with Domo he never really tried to be around me after his brother got put in jail " I said looking down. " Why'd he go to jail " August asked. " Nothing just forget it, " I said. " Baby tell me did he kill someone, " August asked. " No. Just forget it " I said eating. " Tell me Skyller what is it. He's your uncle I can probably help get him out " August said. " NO.!!!!!! " Sky did he, " August said knocking me out of my thoughts. " I don't know exactly It went on for a while. My mom took me to the doctors and they said I was still a virgin so I don't think so " I said putting my head down. " So what did he go to jail for " August asked. The cops never did anything about it but don't worry me and my niggas got the niggas that shot him. That was my fucking brother man that was my only break away from the that fucked up life in NOLA. When he died I moved away and focus on my music and having a better life. We put our plates in the sink and went upstairs. We got into bed and started watching movies. I felt something in August pocket. " August what's that, " I asked. I pulled it out his pocket and it was a box. " I don't know why don't you open it, " August said just as confused as I was. I opened it and it was a diamond ring.
" August what is this, " I said confused. " Skyller Hazel Harris this is my promise to you. I love you and I trust you. I don't want to lose you.
