~Karkat's POV~
After we were done watching the movie that Dave put on to apologize for touching my horns, and then a few more because I asked, no, more like demanded, he didn't move like I expected him to. He kept his arm around me, and I didn't really care enough to move. I saw Dave's Bro looking at us out of the corner of his eye but when I turned my head to look at him, he immediately looked away and pretended he wasn't just staring at us. Yeah, he's kinda.. Weird.
~Bro's POV~
Aww. Look at the two of them, cuddled up together. Dave seemed to be pretty damn happy, while Karkat didn't really care. I'll have to ask Dave if he got hi- SHIT. KARKAT NOTICED ME. I immediately looked away and pretending I wasn't just staring at them.
~Karkat's POV again~
When Dave's Bro looked away, I looked up at Dave, who had his normal Strider look. It was a little different.. I think he was almost smiling. Wow. Before I could confirm it, he stopped smiling and looked down at me, then smirked. What the fuck. He lifted my chin with his thumb and index finger, probably looking me in the eye. I couldn't tell because of his shades, but I assume he was.
"You're adorable."
"No I'm not, fuckass."
"Oh, so you want me to-"
I interrupted him quickly, getting a bit flustered. I pulled away from him then. "NO. I DIDN'T FUCKING MEAN IT LIKE THAT, DIPSHIT." He just laughed and adjusted his shades, looking down at me. My face was probably a deep red when he said that. I think he was blushing a little as well. I smirked, looking up at him again, my blush mostly faded.
"Strider, are you *blushing*!?" I asked, a smile on my face. I said it in a shocked tone, which he knew was fake. He just blushed more, and I saw his bro shaking his head at him. He saw me looking again and looked away, and this time he went to a different room.
"Shut the fuck up Vantas."
"Make me." It sort of just slipped out. I didn't even give it a second thought before saying it, which was probably dumb.
"Are you really telling me to kiss you? Because that can be arranged." He just smirked, and my face went red again.
"Gog dammit.." He just laughed, putting his damn arm around me again. I looked up at him, and he smirked. And then the lights went out. I jumped and squeaked a bit as this happened, not being able to see anything because it was dark outside now as well.
"Vantas, are you scared?" I could fucking hear the smirk in his voice.
"N-no! It just startled me.."
"Oh, then I guess you wouldn't mind coming with me to fix the lights?" Again, I could fucking hear the smirking the way he said it. I just sort of looked down, and sighed.
"F-fine.. I'll help you..."
"Hmm.. I've got an idea. Since you're obviously scared, how about you get a prize if you don't get scared the entire time." I was really surprised at this.
"Are you fucking serious? Fine, what kind of prize would I get?"
"Anything you want."
"...and if I do get scared?" I'm pretty sure he was thinking for a moment, because there was a delayed response.
"Hmm.. You have to kiss me."
"WHAT!?" I honestly couldn't believe he just said that. He just laughed at my response.
"So do you think you can just walk with me or are you too scared?" I sighed. I would try to be brave, and not let anything scare me too bad.
"F-fine.." And that was the only thing I could say before he pulled my up off the couch by my wrist, and then dragged me to the.. Well I don't even know what it was called. The electric thing that controls the lights. Then, I heard a loud noise, immediately clinging to Dave.
"JEGUS, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT!?" I exclaimed, holding Dave tightly against me.
"You got scared." Was all he said. My eyes widened, and I sighed.
"Gog dammit.. Do I really have to..?" He just laughed.
"Yep. You made a deal."
"Why did you want that to be your prize if you won anyway?"
"I-I just wanted to see your reaction, but you went with it." I swear I heard him stutter.
"Did you just stutter? The king of cool, stuttering?"
"No! I didn't stutter. Shut up."
This time I actually THOUGHT before saying anything. Unlike last time he said to shut up.
"Why would I?" I asked quickly.
"Because I fucking said." I just laughed a bit. He got the lights fixed, and he was blushing like mad.
"Woah, you're blushing again."
"I told you to shut up."
"I never said I woul-" I was interrupted by a passionate kiss, my eyes wide. His eyes however.. I couldn't see. I let him kiss me, not really kissing back. He pulled away and smirked, leaving my face a deep candy red. My mouth hung open when he pulled away, as he smirked. I was sort of just starstruck, staring into nothing.
"Um.. You alright there?" I heard Dave's voice say, and I didn't give a response of any kind. He lowered himself to my level, raising a brow. He waved at me, and I snapped back to reality.
"O-oh, um.. Sorry..." He just laughed, standing up straight again.
"You're adorable, Kitkat." I was still sort of in a daze, so I didn't catch the nickname.
~Dave's POV~
Oh my god. Karkat is so cute. The lights went off and he jumped, letting out a squeak. Adorable. I convinced him to make a bet where, if he won, he could do whatever he wanted. And if I won, you ask? He had to kiss me. I thought it was a pretty damn good plan, myself. And he lost.
Then after a few minutes of pretending to actually be doing something and talking to Karkat, I turned the lights on. I was blushing pretty bad because of things he was saying, but when he was in the middle of saying something, I leaned down and kissed him deeply. He wasn't expecting it, apparently, because he was just shocked when I pulled away. It was pretty damn cute. I finally got him to snap back to reality, but he was still sort of shocked. How could I tell? He didn't pick up on the fact that I called him Kitkat, and yell at me.
It was getting late, and we both decided to go to bed. He slept on the couch, but at about midnight, I looked up and saw him there at the door. He was only in his boxers, actually, and his body was so tiny and cute.. He was so scrawny. I just wanted to run my hand through his hair and kiss him, and hold his body against mine. I wanted to make him feel safe and loved.
I was only in my boxers and shades. I would have preferred not letting him see me like this, but if I wanted to allure him or whatever, this would probably help.
"I.. I had a nightmare... Can I sleep in here..?" I had a feeling he was making it up, but I nodded. He was so goddamn cute. And the next thing I knew, the troll was snuggled up next to me. I ran a hand through his hair, and.. He started to purr. Like seriously, he fucking purred. Like a cat. If he got any cuter, I would die. On the fucking spot. I cuddled up to him more, making him feel a bit better, I hoped. He looked quite a bit more content, so I assumed I had made him feel better. At least a little.
After a few minutes, I knew he was asleep, so I took my shades off and sat them on the table. How did I know he was asleep, you ask? He was snoring really lightly, his mouth open just a bit, and his eyes were closed. He was too damn cute. Even when he slept he was adorable. I just wanted to kiss him. But if I did, he'd know I liked him, and he would probably reject me, and then I would be all depressed, and then it would be way harder to keep acting cool, and.. Ugh. Jesus, I stress too much.. I needed to calm down. So I did. And I ended up falling asleep with my arm around Karkat.
