Note: This is the most emotional and personal poem I have ever written. The events in the poem are 100% true and did happen to me.
She laid on the cement,
Nothing helped.
Life was draining out of her.
Her face was pale
Her lungs were shutting down
And her heart couldn't handle the pressure.
She coughed of exhaustion
Cried of pain,
fell to the ground in agony,
Her body was giving up.
The clots traveled and grew,
ready to destroy everything.
The little fight she had left
Was enough to save her.
The hospital too kcare of the rest,
she just had to get there.
The oxygen kept her alive
Long enough to determine the cause.
After that,
The blood thinners took over.
She fought her way back to life,
but things were never the same.
I'm not the person I was before,
That person died on the cement.
