Gemma's POV
I pull back from Druce surprised. "Really?" I am excited to hear his answer. I know he doesn't want me to leave his side, but I've never heard him say it out loud.
Druce nods his head. His fingers trail down my cheeks as he looks at me, lovingly?
I stare at him, trapped in his gaze.
That same gaze that causes everyone to bow their heads low in submission, but only seeks to start a raging inferno inside me. A fire so hot that not even a truck full with water can cool down. Only him.
I think I like like him. But I can't say that out loud. It'll be embarrassing if he doesn't say it back.
I grip his fingers tightly, lovingly and he does the same. Our feelings are the same, I can feel it.
But no one says anything. We're too afraid to. There's too much going on around us now. Too much drama.
I feel I am in a scene in 'Strange Love'. You know? The part where they stand staring into each other's eyes for a good five minutes, with their song playing in the background. Awkward, right?
I break eye contact with Druce and clears my throat nervously. This is getting too intense for my liking. I start to let go of his hands, but he grips it harder, reluctant to let go.
I look down at our joined hands and back up at him. I smile knowingly at him and he did the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire eighteen years. He blushes.
I freeze. My entire body put on pause like a movie as I stare at him, completely mesmerized, enchanted, trapped. My heart is racing rapidly and think I am going to have an epileptic shock. My heart is jumping around happily in my chest, too evident from the one, two, three, four beats that my heart skips.
Druce looks at me the whole time. And I watch dazedly as concern takes over his features and he starts to shake me gently by the shoulders.
I watch the moment his concern changes into panic and his once gently shake becomes a full body shake, rattling every bone in my body. I feel sorry for him. I don't like seeing him sad.
He calls my name repeatedly but I don't answer. I can't answer. My tongue is tied down in my mouth and I want to cry. Why can't I talk?
The sudden movement of him throwing me over his shoulder frightens me from my dazed state and I slap his back gently.
"What are you doing?" I ask confused. He stops walking and turns me around to balance me in the air so that my feet are still not touching the ground. I glare at him, frustrated by his action. "Put me down. I am not some rag doll that you can throw over your shoulder whenever you feel like".
He smirks at me but puts me down gently. "I thought something was wrong with you. I was only going to take you to Beta Cole".
"Who is this 'Beta Cole'?"
Druce looks at me for a while. I arch my eyebrows at him. "He's the pack doctor. I look at him impassively and he sighs. "Do you want to look around the pack? I can't introduce you to anyone though". I nod my head excitedly. He pauses as he's about to walk off. "What about the girls? Aren't you supposed to be meeting with them soon?" Darn it. I totally forgot.
Druce begins to pull me away from the Alpha house and I start to protest. "Ah Ah, we are going. Plus I need to feed you first. You can tell them you'll meet them later or something. But we won't go until you eat". I close my mouth immediately, swallowing my protest.

We ate together an hour ago. Druce is currently standing by the door watching amusedly as I explain to a very annoyed, furious looking Julie.
She is pissed at me for canceling our plans last minute. We were supposed to meet in her room at 9:00 a.m., a little too early for my liking, but I agreed anyways.
I am getting very frustrated and it irks me more when I see Druce laughing at me. I growl at him, annoyed. Stupid Alpha.
"Julie, I just want two more hours. Druce volunteered to show me around the pack". I desperately plea with her. I need her to see eye to eye with me. I really want to know the pack, even if I only get to look around. Fine by me.
She turns to look at Druce, glaring at him. "I knew this was your idea. You only want her for yourself. What about me? She's my friend too". I look at her sadly. Druce growls at her and walks over to, wrapping his hands around my waist possessively. His head goes to my neck and he inhales deeply.
I look at Julie apologetically. "I'm sorry Julie. I promised I'll be there and I will". She doesn't say anything. She turns around angrily and walks off.
Druce pulls me to the door and outside, dismissing Julie's rude behavior easily. He releases my hands once we reach the Alpha house and I sulk. I forgot, no public display of affection.
We enter the house again for the second time since I came here. It leaves me breathless just as the first time and I am amazed at what an elegantly designed foyer could do to a simple virgin. Ha-ha, I mean romantic.
Druce shows me around the houses, each one as beautiful as the next. He tells me how they are addressed, what the house colours represent as every house here is either yellow, blue, green or purple. And most importantly, the colour of their wolves' eyes. It's very interesting and I listen everything he says keenly.
"Why do your eyes change golden then if it is only done in wolf form?" He looks at me questioningly. "You did it a few times". His brows go up a little more.
"And you didn't freak out because?"
I turn away from him shyly. "I already knew you were werewolves plus you were very cute". He laughs at me and I slap his arm. "Now tell me, why did that happened?"
He looks at me seriously. "As you know, I am the Alpha, the strongest and the bravest". I roll my eyes at his cocky answer. "My eyes change colour when I am angry, aroused and the usual, when I am mind-linking with other pack members". I nob my head and everything comes rushing back to me.
The time in his car when he pulled me onto his lap, the time in his office when I told him I was hungry and Aunt May came in with food and also the time when he called Chef Jeff. Three times without the use of a phone. Suspicious then, but now amazing. Please, like I would use a phone if I can do that.
We walk down the dirt path gazing around us lazily. People bow as we pass by. To Druce, not me. I am still under tabs. That reminds me.
"What is a mate?" I ask bluntly. Druce looks around nervously before meeting my gaze. What?
"A mate is also called a soul mate. A person made by the moon goddess just for a werewolf. A soul mate is a werewolf's other half, a werewolf's forever. They are destined to be together and nothing can change that. If a mate dies, the werewolf dies too". I stare at him for a while. I really want to hold him his hands and kiss him now. "That's why I need to have you around at all times. To protect you".
I grab his face and push my lips unto his. Despite him telling me that it isn't safe. But I don't care. All I can think about is how cute and wonderful he is.
So I kiss him. I kiss him like my life depends on it. He returns the kiss passionately, tantalizingly, affectionately and I tremble in his arms.
I pull away from his breathless. Members of the pack were watching us and I blush, hiding my face in his chest. He laughs at me.
A woman walks pass us and bows her head at me. "Luna". I gape at her.
"My name is Gemma, not Luna". I shout at the woman.
Druce laughs and shakes his head. "I think she means Luna, as in Alpha. The Luna is basically the female ruler of the pack".
What?
Oh hell no!

"Julie!" I shout pushing her door open. Druce took me back to the house a while ago. I decide to come to Julie now that our walk around the pack was over.
Druce forcefully made me eat lunch, even though I repeatedly told him I wasn't hungry. He wasn't having it though.
Julie and Ana are sitting on the bed talking excitedly. She looks up when I step into the room, closing the door behind me.
She gets up from the bed and walks over to me, dragging me back to the bed with her.
"I am so happy that the very clingy Alpha finally allowed you to leave his sight". She says rolling her eyes.
I laugh at her annoyed expression. "I am not complaining. I love being around him"
"Of course you do. He's your mate". Ana says and I nod my head agreeing with her. "Plus, you are entitled to miss your mate whenever you want. I miss my mate a lot".
I look at her confused. "Mate? Who is your mate?
She looks at me with wide eyes. "Did I say mate? I mean my boyfriend, Bryce. Sometimes he's like a mate to me. That's how much I miss him".
I smile at her happily. "Your boyfriend is Beta Bryce? Gurrrl! You're lucky" she laughs at me.
Julie laughs too and sigh dreamily. "I miss my mate too". Ana and I laughs at her loudly.
I shake my head at her. "But Julie, you don't have a mate". She looks at me ashamedly and laughs.
"I totally forgot". She gets up from the bed and I look at her questioningly. "I need to make a call. I have to check up on Aunt May, she's not exactly healthy". I nod my head in understanding.

Julie didn't come back. I let it slide, maybe she got caught up in something. I left her room after my long conversation with Ana. She is funny, a little crazy too.
Beta Bryce came into the room, uninvited, and took her away, leaving me all by my lonesome self. He claimed that he had 'important matters' to discuss with her. Yea right, I am a virgin, not stupid.
They laughed when I said that.
I sigh and leave the room, already missing Druce. He was right when he said I can't stay away from him for too long. It feels like years have passed since I've seen him.
I walk into his office but he isn't there. Weird. He's supposed to be working. I walk to the kitchen, no such luck either.
I start to panic, but I calm myself down. Nothing is wrong with Druce, after all he is the strongest and bravest in the entire pack. He is indestructible. Right?
I walk to my room and took a shower to calm myself. Druce will be bursting down the door soon, frantically looking around for me. He will be here soon, no worries.
I take up my book and turn to where I stopped reading earlier this morning. When Druce interrupted me because he was scared something happened to me. He claimed he couldn't find me and thought I was dead or something. Please.
But, isn't that what I am doing now? I totally understand him more now.
