Selena's POV:
"alright. someone wanna demonstrate fake laughs?" ms.peters asked.
hailey's hand shot up. ugh i forgot she's in drama with me. atleast not justin.
"hannah come up." the teacher said.
"actually it's hailey.." hailey said and a few students laughed.
"i don't care. come up." ms.peters said.
hailey went to the little stage in the class and cleared her throat.
she fake laughed, it sounded pretty real. a lot of people clapped, including me.
"uh can we have sarah?" Ms.Peters asked.
everyone looked around. "there isn't a sarah in our class." hailey said.
"um... sally? selena? i don't remember." Ms.Peters said.
i came to the front of the stage.
i gave my best fake laugh impression, but only hailey clapped.
"um.. i'm not very good at acting." I muttered quietly but clear enough for everyone to hear.
"we can tell. sit down." the teacher said.
"i think you did great!" hailey beamed.
"thanks." i whispered.
i think Hailey was actually really nice. maybe it's just that justin is a jerk.
we did other random things, and the teacher kept calling me to demonstrate.
i think she's teasing me cause she knows i suck with those.

*lunch*
i looked around the cafeteria, looking for taylor. i found her table, but it was full. she was sitting with calvin.
i tried to fit in, but i gave up. i got up and looked for hailey.
i found her, and i sat next to her. hopefully justin doesn't come.
"where are you heading after school? maybe we can hang out?" Hailey asked.
"i'm free. do you wanna go to the mall?" I asked.
she nodded. yay. i'm friends with the girl my boyfriend is cheating on me with. but she's really nice though.
"so let's get to know each other. do you have a boyfriend?" hailey asked.
"kinda. i used too but he cheated on me." i muttered.
"oh. that's sad. i'm sorry." she said which made me giggle.
"yeah it's okay. you'd be surprised who it was he cheated on me with." i said and she looked really confused.
we talked about our favorite singers, colors, songs, and our family.
Boring chapter but I wanted to make one where Selena and Hailey became friends :)
