"you're getting too full of yourself." she paced around him in restlessness.
"the rumours are affecting her
..in a bad way."
the words "i know" were sucked back into the abyss of his mouth as he gulped the dishonest phrase back down his throat. jungkook couldn't bring himself to look at her as she carried on speaking to him.
"you need to find her and apologise." chunhwa told him, sternly.
the sentence had pulled a trigger. and he ran to find her, missing a photoshoot that would've started a couple of minutes after he had dashed off.
heart throbbing forcefully in his chest,
he searched her own house.
nothing.
he searched the school.
nothing.
with absence of any hope, he arrived at a street. and by chance, she was there. gloomily stood over a torn, indigo bracelet along with its variegated beads that had been pummelled onto the ground in extinction. crestfallen tears dripped from her drooped eyes–she heard footsteps
and she had seen him.
"i'm sorry." he said, in a squeak-like voice.
she inhaled a shaky breath.
"i know." was her only response.
he began to walk closer to her, and realised that he had spilled his own tears. he had been sobbing this whole time.
"i-i'm sorry for being thoughtless." he confessed.
"it's okay.
well, it's not.
she looked at him.
but it is." she finished.
somehow, he managed to crack a smile.
and seeing this, she did too.
suddenly, he bent down and with arms reaching out, he gathered the solitary beads of her bracelet.
she did too.
but one glance at each other,
as their emotions threaten to overwhelm them both,
they hugged instead.
