Chapter Twenty- Six
As we made our way through the trees, it suddenly hit me that I didn't have my jacket once again, it's like everytime I go to his house I'm so distracted by him that I actually forget my jacket, "Seth, I forgot my jacket again..." I brought up laughing lightly. "Can we turn back? Or...?" I wondered, leaving my sentence hanging as I hoped he would fill in the blank.
"Or I warm you up now, and get a free excuse to come by your house later..." Seth suggested with a smile, pulling me closer to his body and wrapping his free arm around me only to hold me tighter to himself.
Smiling like a fool, I rolled my eyes, "Mmmh, I guess this will work..." I mumbled softly, leaning my head on to his shoulder as we continued walking.
Silence enveloped us then as we walked, but it wasn't anywhere close to being awkward, yet rather quite enjoyable.
"Seth can I ask you something?" I asked him softly, tilting my head up to look at him.
Nodding, Seth leaned down and kissed my nose softly, "Of course," He responded promptly, before he returned his attention to where we were walking.
Feeling a smile captivate my face, I bit onto my bottom lip, and let out a deep breath, "That first night..." I began, "When I first saw you...Wolfy...what were you doing outside my window? I mean what made you want to come to my house?" I spoke softly, tentatively choosing my words, attempting to avoid sounding like a complete idiot.
Hearing Seth let out a breath, I sighed with content as Seth tightened his hold on me, "You were out in the forest earlier that day, as was I, and when I saw you, you captivated me...as cheesy as that sounds," Seth chuckled, a smile sneaking it's way onto his lips curling from the corner of his mouth slightly until it was a full blow grin. "When you left the woods, I couldn't help but find myself following behind you. I never meant for you to see me in wolf form..." He continued, suddenly reaching up and rubbing the back of his neck, a habit of his I've noticed quite a bit lately.
Smiling at his words, I couldn't help but laugh lightly, "So you were planning on meeting me all along then?" I wondered.
"I was..." He admitted a moment later, "You're special Corey," Seth spoke his voice falling softly on my hair.
Knowing my cheeks were heating from his words, I slightly dropped my gaze and watched where I was walking.
Hearing Seth chuckle lightly, I didn't bother responding to him, and instead we walked the rest of the way to my house in complete silence, minus a few moments when Seth warned me about a certain branch, or rock that I had overlooked as a possible nuisance.
As we reached the edge of the trees, my house in view, I pulled Seth to a stop, and looked up into his blue eyes, "Thank you for the wonderful day," I spoke softly.
Seth pulled me around from his side and held me tightly to his front with one hand, as his other hand reached up and tilted my head up towards his, "Anytime...girlfriend," Seth whispered, his warm breath coming down lightly on me.
Feeling my heart rate pick up quickly, I let a smile overtake my face, and watched as a smile spread across his face as well, "I like the sound of that..." I told him honestly a moment later, stretching up on my tip toes to press my lips lightly against jaw.
Tightening his hold on me, I couldn't help but laugh lightly as I moved my lips ever so slightly along his jaw, "Corey..." Seth managed to say after a moment of the absence of his voice.
"Hmmm?" I mumbled softly moving my lips slowly so I was closer to where his perfect lips were, which were practically calling out to me.
Seth must have noticed my gaze set on his lips, because he quickly tried to close the distance between us, but before his sweet lips touched mine, I leaned back, and smiled when I saw confusion sweep across his features.
When he noticed that I wasn't going to kiss him until he said what was on his mind a moment before, he sighed softly, "Can I take you out tomorrow night," Seth suggested.
Smiling at his request, I found myself biting into my bottom lip and smirking slightly, "Can I think about it?" I teased him, earning myself a soft growl as he pulled me tighter to his body. Laughing lightly, I placed my hand softly on his chest as rose up on my tip toes, "I would love to," I spoke softly, pausing after a moment, "But after earlier, when I disappeared from my house without my dad's approval, I'm not positive he'll let me out..." I admitted sadly.
Pondering my words for a moment, Seth suddenly smiled as he appeared to have a perfect thought, "If that's the case, then I will come get you long after the sun sets," He spoke clearly, smiling at his plan.
Hearing his words, I couldn't help but smile, "Are you being my personal bad influence now?" I whispered softly leaning into closer towards him.
Seth chuckled lightly at my words, "Mmh, not intentionally my dear," He responded quickly, reaching up and tucking a strip of my hair behind my ear. "What you are experiencing is a simple case of wanting to spend time with my girlfriend..." He shrugged, his blue eyes gazing into mine.
"I'll see what I can do then," I whispered softly, stretching up on my toes to press my lips softly against his.
Seth instantly responded, moving his warm lips against mine as he held me tighter to himself.
Moving my lips in sync with his, I whimpered softly as his cold hands slightly slid underneath the bottom edge of my shirt, and rested there as he held me close. The mere touch he had on my skin was beyond words, and had me gripping onto his shirt trying to pull us impossibly closer together. It felt in that moment as if I couldn't get his body close enough to mine to feel content as our lips danced.
Pulling away breathless a few moments later, I felt my cheeks heat up lightly as Seth leaned his forehead down onto mine a smile spread across his lips as his eyes bore deeply into mine.
As each of our breaths lingering together, I couldn't fight the desire to run my fingers through his brown hair, and found myself doing just that. "Will I see you tonight...Wolfy?" I wondered softly.
Watching a small frown spread across his face upon my words, I felt myself biting onto my bottom lip as I took in his expression. "My best friend Carter is beginning to think I'm ignoring him, not saying I haven't," He explained with a slight smile, "So I promised him I'd chill with him tonight, and I'm going to keep my word. I'll try to stop by tonight, but I don't want you waiting up for me," He spoke, clearly serious about not wanting me to wait up.
Feeling a small smile spread across my lips, I couldn't help but laugh lightly, "I'll see you if I see you then," I whispered softly, "Have fun with your friend tonight, and thanks again for today," I spoke quietly. "I really had a great time," I told him honestly, a smile spread across my lips.
"I had a great time too," Seth responded quickly.
Not able to fight the smile that spread across my lips, it took over completely as I took in his words, "Bye," I whispered, biting softly onto my bottom lip.
"Bye Corey, see you tomorrow," Seth spoke quietly, pressing his lips softy to mine for a moment before he unwrapped his arms from around my waist as tucked my hair behind my ear.
Turning from Seth, I quickly made my way towards my house, my body suddenly missing Seth's warm arms.
When I reached the door, I couldn't help but let my eyes drift back to the trees where my eyes landed on Seth who was smiling back at me as he leaned up against a tree trunk.
Taking in the sight of him standing there, I felt my heart pound harder, and had to fight the overwhelming urge to run back to his arms.
After mouthing 'bye' once more to each other, I finally turned on my heals and opened the door, preparing myself for the punishment I knew was coming for leaving without permission.
