I remember that sunny day
Back in December
Year 2015 where
We rushed to the hospital
In sweaters and jeans
With a cross
And her bag in my right hand
And my left hand in hers
While everything was in chaos
Nurses running
Doctors injecting
And they're pumping
Pumping her
Trying to save
Our child
And her
Trying to make
Her breathe
Again
And when they
Stopped
All I can hear were noise
From the machines
From the people outside
From my own heart
That was beating so loud
All I can see was
The love of my life
Gone cold
Laying in a hospital bed
And all I know
Was that
Our baby
Was gone too
I remember that very day
Because that's the day
The sun
Can't seem to shine my days
Anymore
That's the exact day
I lose my family
Before I even had one
That's the exact day
I stopped seeing those
Honest eyes
And I stopped hearing that
Resounding laugh
And that's the exact day
My heart
Broke
