[check out the video I posted with this and if you want you can go back to the other chapters and see the video's i posted with them. I thought the song's were fitting. It's got subtitles (only if u view it on youtube) but the song is really good it complements the mood in this chapter, especially towards the end of the chapter. Let me know what you think, and if you have any music that you think will fit my theme then private msg me with the link for the song and if I decide to post it with a chapter I will credit you for the suggestion. Comments about the music are always welcome cause I just love listening to music when i'm working or doing just about everything.

Aliza was struck dumb by how many guys she was surrounded by. /This is what you call, 'I died and now i'm in heaven!'/ Under hooded eyes, she studied the hall. It had a very comforting ambiance. The walls were red brick instead of drywall that she was so accustomed to. There were two flat-screen TV's at opposite ends, and both were showing a soccer, ahem...'football' match. She had never been a very observant football fan, although she watched the 'Euro-cup' and subsequently 'World-cup', she never followed the teams otherwise. The room was furnished with some long tables that sported big cushioned chairs, and there were also smaller tables with metal back chairs. She tried to make out the music in the background, but the words didn't register as any she had heard before. /I guess it's a local band or something?/
She looked to the far side of the room and spotted Quinn, who seemed to be having a lively conversation with his friends. /Agh! Just hope he doesn't notice me among all these guys, I really don't want another conversation with him./ Turning around, she realized Roan had moved to join a couple of other guys who were coming to join her and Lucien.
"Is that small guy Luc's roomy? Hah, he doesn't look like much older then a 16 year-old, and you say he's in his last year?" This was said by the guy on Roan's right. When she continued to look at him and didn't respond he finally said, "Dude, you goino tell me your name, or what?"
"Ahh..s-sorry, my name's Alex."
"Alex...hmmm...my name is Gabriel." He said, studying her.
"He's a co-head with me for the swimming club, if you want to join, just let me know." Lucien said trying to patch the silence. After his benevolent offer was kindly rejected by Alex, the conversation moved to other topics and Alex listened with only a half ear. /Thank god he didn't persist about joining the swimming club, i'll have to drop hints that I don't know how to swim or something like that so he doesn't ask me again./
Soon, the guys started drifting towards the snacks table and passing around alcohol. Alex sat by herself in one of the smaller tables, and made sure she didn't let Lucien or Roan out of her sight just in case. As she sat there, she thought about how she was going to carry this farce on. She would have to be more convincing as a guy because already others were noticing little things, and maybe someone would out two-and-two together and discover her secret.
Suddenly the music got louder and some of the guys started to dance. She saw Lucien heading towards her.
"Come-on dude, don't sulk in the corner, get up and enjoy a little 'cause once classes start you won't get too much free time." Lucien took her hand and pulled her up.

Holding Alex's hand, Lucien led him to the area where some of the guys were dancing. /I don't want him to just sit there by himself, that's all. OK, who am I kidding, I can't stand him sitting there by himself looking as lost as a kid left by himself in the middle of a carnival./
Lucien started to dance with the beat of music and motioned with his hands towards Alex to join in. Alex looked a little hesitant and kept darting his eyes left and right. When he finally started moving, Lucien realized why he was hesitant. The guy moved more of his hips and stomach with fluid side to side movements, unlike the jerky movements that everyone else was doing. He brought his hand near his chin and moved it in a circle, the same movement as his hips, and Lucien was just mesmerized. He watched Alex's hips sway in a sensual rhythm, he watched Alex move his head from side to side, and he stopped dancing all together when he realized that some of the other guys were watching Alex as well.
He dragged Alex away from the dance area and brought him to a secluded spot near a corner.
"What the heck were you doing?! Man, if you didn't know how to dance, you should've told me. That little /thing/ you did there, don't ever do that again in front of anyone. They're probably going to think your some gay or something!" Lucien couldn't explain why he was yelling, or why he couldn't rein in his temper. He just knew he was pissed, and not at Alex, but more at himself for reacting this way, something was totally messed up with him, he had to get away from Alex.

"Luc, you're hurting me..." Aliza tried to struggle out of Lucien's painful grasp on her arm. She couldn't understand why he was so angry; she was only trying to fit in with the guys by moving a little, and didn't want to draw attention by just standing still. /What did I do wrong? I mean, I was just moving a little!/
Lucien finally noticed his death grip on her arm and let me. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you. Forget what I just said, i'll go grab a drink." With that said, he walked away with quick strides towards Roan's group without a glance back.
/What was that all about?/ Aliza realized he'd left her all alone and Quinn was making his way towards her. She tried to follow Lucien, but Quinn intercepted her before she could take more than a step.
"Hi, I didn't think you'd be here. I brought you a soft-drink." He handed her a glass while sipping his own and looking at her from the rim of his cup as he gulped. She could see his adam's apple moving as he drank. She had a sudden urge to swallow her saliva, but she didn't want him to notice her discomfort, so she took the drink and drank it nonchalantly.
"I..j-just wanted to get out a little and see the school" Aliza explained, and drank some more fiz to avoid having to talk.
"I noticed you when you were dancing, you're quite good. Come, let's go dance." He started to pull her, but she ground her feet on the ground.
"NO! Uh...i'm tired now, so I just want to sit off for a while. You should go and dance, you don't have to wait for me." /Go away already! Funny I don't remember him being so persistent!/
As he reluctantly left, she let out her suppressed breath and collapsed on a chair. /What did I ever see in him? I mean, so what if he was always nice to me, and when people teased about my aunt being so young and taking care of us, he was the only one who ever stood up for me. Alex wasn't in my class, so naturally I was always with Quinn. But he changed a lot since that time and he's no longer the Quinn that I used to look up to so I have to keep my distance, he too uncomfortable by half!/

Lucien decided that he had had enough of the party after his fourth glass of beer. He left Commons and headed towards his room. As he got inside, he stripped off his clothes and with just his boxers on he climbed into bed and fell into restless sleep.

Aliza sat in her small corner for a few minutes, and felt light-headed. She saw Roan with his friend and staggered as she made her way towards him.
"Roannn...hah! -hiccup- Whatcha doing" She tried to take his hand, but grasped only air. She tried again and this time she got a hold of it. "Let's go and danssse...hmmm?" She smiled up at him.
"Alex, dudeee, your drunk." She was finding it hard to hear him.
"My head itches, I want to pull my hair off!" She grabbed for her hair, but found someone's hands on her's.
"I should get you to your room, come let's get you in your room before you pass out here."
Roan started to lead her out of the throng of guys who were dancing. He led her through a maze and she didn't know when she was standing in front of a door.
"You should sleep this off, you're going to have one heck of a headache tomorrow!"
He opened the door for her and gently pushed her inside and closed it again. She found herself alone inside a dark room she recognized as her own. The room was illuminated only by the soft light of the moon penetrating into the room through a window.
/My head itches soooo much, I want the wig off now!/ She pulled her now damp wig off her head and shook her still wet hair. /Ahhh...that feels so much better, but my chest still feels constricted./ She took her long-sleeve jersey off and unwrapped the bindings in haste and put the jersey back on.
/Mmm.../ She took a deep breath and climbed into the bed. /The long pillow is so warm./ She put one leg over the long pillow, and snuggled closer to it with her hands cradled under her head.
Before long, Aliza was in a deep sleep comforted by the warmth around her. Alas, she did not realize her shifting had awakened someone from their own restless sleep.
