Prompt: Pony and Rose's first date.
Tonight was finally the night you've been waiting for; your first date with Ponyboy Curtis.
You hadn't the slightest notion where you two were going because Pony insisted that it be a surprise. He did tell you to dress warm and comfortable however.
Your outfit was just a simple cozy sweater and blue jeans, and you made sure to pack a extra cost just in case.
It was 6 p.m. when Pony rolled up in his little ole pickup. Answering the door he gave you a wild grin, and gave you unbelievably cute flowers.
"Thanks Pony!" You said giving him a bear hug. "Anytime. Ready to go?"
Half an hour passed and you and Pony were still driving to your special date location. "Where are we going anyhow Pone?"
"It's a surprise Rose!"
The rest of the way there you two rocked out to The Beatles singing wildly together, like nobody was watching.
Finally arriving to your date, you were in awe of what you saw. He had taken you to a beautiful clearing, where the stars were crystal clear. It was breathtaking.
Pony hopped out first running over to your side of the pickup to open the door for you. He grabbed your hand and led you to the bed of the pickup where there was a mountain of blankets waiting for the both of you.
You two snuggled up for hours into the night, admiring the beautiful night sky and talking something fierce.
"Rose, can I- can I tell ya something?"
"Of course. Shoot."
"I've like you an awful long time, and I was really just wanting to know if you'd maybe be my girlfriend?"
You felt butterflies in your stomach, and a smile spread across your lips finding yourself immediately saying "yes!"
Ponyboy sighed in relief and you two started on the drive back home.
The perfect night with the perfect boy.
