He also brought her a puppy and they planted the rosemary bush in the garden together.
The next week Cindy's father had to go on a days trip. After returning, he was going to take a couple of weeks off and spend time with the family! Cindy couldn't wait! He did travel a lot and she missed his company! The day of his trip, all four of them saw him off! Before he left Cindy had picked him out some flowers. She was missing him already.
Later that evening there was a knock at the door and it was a friend of Cindys dad. They were sadly informed Cindy's father was in an accident and he was injured bad! He was being brought back home in the morning and it wasn't for sure if he would make it! Cindys heart dropped and her step mother stood there in silence, she thanked the messager and closed the door! Cindy fell to the floor crying in front of the door!
When he got home the next day he was beat up and bruised pretty bad! Cindy stayed by his bed side everyday.....until he passed away a few weeks later! Cindy was heartbroken and cried her self to sleep for months. Her step mother nor step sisters comforted her in this time of loss! She had no idea, but things were about to get worse.
As time went by her step mother and step sisters began to treat her bad. They even teased her about her parents passing away! This hurt Cindy very much and she knew things were going to be bad from there on out! Her step mother allowed them to do as they pleased and Cindy felt so alone.
