It was the middle of the night and I was cuddled close to Cory. It was the best that I have felt in months. I finally had this great feeling of being in love with a man who cared about me. He was truly my rock.
I heard my phone ring and saw my aunt’s number flash before then I stretched out my hands and grabbed the phone sliding the answer.
“Hello?” I answered and I could hear her crying, “Hello? Auntie talk to me,” I sat up in my bed and tried to figure out what she was sobbing about.
“Aziza is in jail and I have your sister, I don’t even know what made her end up there but her father is not happy about it, I just need you here Alia,” she explained in one deep breath and I got off the bed silently and started packing listening to my aunt.
Once I finished packing I stared at Cory and sighed, I hate this part.
Back in damn Miami and the first place I had to go to was the juvenile center.
“How can Aziza be so damn careless matter of fact how can she be so damn dumb?” I said to myself as I walked towards the door of the center.
My aunt wired me five hundred dollars for her bail money because for sure I wasn’t going to bail her ass out with my own money, she was stuck.
I walked towards the window and looked at the more than attractive man that sat at the window. He looked very young, milk chocolate skin and these eyes that could be more than hypnotizing.
“How may I help you?” he asked smiling at me and I smiled back.
I looked at his name tag and it read Leo.
“Hi, I came to bail someone out,” I smiled leaning on the window.
“Name?”
“Aziza Shane.”
“I mean yours beauty,” he smiled and I couldn’t help but to giggle.
“Alia Shane.”
“And the person you are bailing out is Aziza Shane?”
I nodded my head, “Yeah my sister,” I rolled my eyes and sighed just thinking about it had me pissed off.
“Nice of you to be paying for her bail. Some girls just end up here for years since family members give up on them and then they are here till they’re eighteen,” he explained and I looked at him and sighed.
Why must he make this feel so damn bad?
“Yeah I guess,” I said and sighed.
“Phone number?” I raised my brow and tried to look at the computer he was typing on.
He laughed and smiled looking so damn cute.
“That’s for me,” he said and I smiled from ear to ear and gave him my number. Might as well have someone make me smile for the time being, “your sister will be out in about fifteen minutes until then how about a dinner and a movie Friday night, my treat look like you haven’t been on once in a while.”
I couldn’t help but to laugh, this dude was one character.
“Leo right?” he nodded his head, “It’s a date, just call me before hand,” I said and he smiled showing those pearly whites yet again.
“I’ll do that,” he smiled and I heard the bell buzz and saw Aziza walking out the door with her things in tow and couldn’t help but to shake my head at her.
Once she finally got closer to me I could see the two black eyes and busted lip that she sported as if she got into a street fight I ran over to her and looked at her swollen face.
“What the hell happened Aziza who the hell did this to you?” I questioned and she just stared at me and sighed keeping her mouth shut and I raised my brow in disbelief, she looked like a wreck and when I ask who did it she doesn’t want to say anything, “Fine then,” I walked over to Leo and he smiled at me.
“You think you could tell me what she did to get in here?” I asked.
“Street fighting, all the girls who was fighting was two separate groups’ reports here basically over a boy,” he explained and I rolled my eyes and sighed taking a deep breath trying to calm down.
“hey she’s young it happens at her age, she’ll learn,” he said and I smiled.
“Hey I’ll wait on your call,” I said and he nodded his head and I headed out the door and Aziza trailed behind. To be honest I didn’t even want to talk to her, she literally was going to make my stay in Miami horrible. I sighed and got into the car and she sat in the passenger side.
Not even five hours in this city and I am being stressed out by my own sister.
I put my head down on the wheel and sighed then got a text on my phone from an unknown number and it read:
