I snapped my eyes open when there was a loud thundering noise followed by an ear piercing explosion. I sweat dropped,
“Deidara…” I muttered. I started to feel increasingly uncomfortable in my situation. Any moment now, Sasuke will burst through this door and save me. But what if something goes wrong? What if he doesn’t make it? What if Pein gets to him?! What if-
“Get up.” I heard someone demand, breaking me out of my paranoid ranting in my mind. I slowly lifted my head and saw a sharp toothed man standing before me,
“Excuse me?” I croaked,
“Get up, come on.” I glared at him,
“I’m chained down, don’t you think I would’ve gotten up and escaped by now if I could move?” I snapped. He shrugged lazily and looked behind me, to where the demonic statue was placed,
“Huh,” He grunted, “that’s an interesting sculpture. A bit twisted but good all the same.” I bared my teeth in anger, a habit I had obtained from my dogs. The man rolled his eyes,
“Alright alright.” I watched as his arm bulged and morphed into that of a body builders. He gave me a smug look when he noticed me watching with fascination, “Watch this.” He instructed as he reached down to the chains that were keeping me captive. I flinched when the metal turned blue and the mysterious man screamed out in pain.
I watched as his arm returned to its original shape, and zaps erupted from different parts of his body. He gripped at his injured limb and held it close to him, as if it’d stop the pain. After a few seconds, he snapped his head to me with an angry expression,
“Why didn’t you tell me there was a jutsu on it!?” He yelled,
“It’s not like I knew!” I yelled back, “Just get me out of here!” The man straightened up and glared at the metal chains,
“Well, I can’t touch it now…” He muttered. I gave him a confused look,
“Why not?” I asked, “Aren’t you supposed to rescue me?” I stated, completely unimpressed. The man grimaced,
“I’m made out of pure water,” Oh… “I can’t touch it without getting severely hurt.”
“Oh… I’m sorry.” He gave me a weird look,
“Why are you apologising?”
“I don’t know,” I started, feeling a little embarrassed, “I guess I just feel sorry fo-“ I was interrupted when the door was blasted off its hinges and flew across the room,
“Suigetsu, what’s taking so long?” I heard the familiar rouge ask, most people would think it was mono-tone, but I knew him well enough to hear a hint of anxiety in his voice,
“The chains are electrified Sasuke.” The man, who I guessed was named Suigetsu, answered gingerly, “I can’t touch them.”
“Is Ayame getting shocked?” He asked, storming over,
“N-Not that I know of. Hey Sasuke, you ok?” Sasuke looked down at me, while I just looked back up at him,
“Hello.” I greeted,
“Hello.” There was a silence for a few seconds,
“I suggest getting her out of the chains first, just in case you didn’t know what to do.” Suigetsu suggested dumbly.
“Hn.” Sasuke grunted. I watched as his left hand started to glow a dull blue before erupting in a bright blue spark,
“Chidori…” I whispered, “But… It’s more powerful than Oto-san’s…”
“What are you going on about?” Suigetsu grunted. I ignored him though, instead, I watched as a beam of electricity exploded from Sasuke’s hand and cut the chains easily. I watched as they fell to the ground with a soft ‘ching’ as soon as that sound was heard, I was off the ground and being pulled down a long, dark hall.
“Sasuke!” I heard a female voice call, “There are four men ahead! Be careful!”
“Hn.” I blinked and we were outside,
“So fast…” I murmured in a daze. I looked around at the blurry features of the world. I rubbed my eyes and took a second try at examining my surroundings. It was a little better this time, but I didn’t like the look of the destroyed tree’s and cliffs.
I squeaked when Sasuke pulled me close,
“Stay here with Karin.” I glanced to my right and saw a pretty red head standing with her arms crossed, nose in the air and sneaking quick glances at Sasuke and I.
“A-Alright.” I stuttered,
“I’ll be back soon, I just have to take care of a couple things.” He quickly gave me a peck on the lips before he disappeared.
I nervously glanced at the woman known as Karin,
“So…” I started as the tension between us built,
“So.” She repeated, but more sharply.
“Sorry to be a hassle…” I murmured while kicking at the dirt. Karin didn’t answer me at first,
“S-So you should be!” She stuttered, her tone signalled that she thought she was superior, but she was surprised by my apology,
“I didn’t mean to get captured. I let my guard down for a few minutes and this is what happens…” Karin gave me an odd look, “I mean,” I looked up at the sky, “I thought I was stronger, which I am! I know I’m strong!” I laughed a little, “Look at me, I sound so self centred, going on about how strong I think I am.” I sighed and shook my head, “But in all honesty, so many more people are so much stronger than me. Sasuke, Naruto, Kakashi, even Sakura.”
“No,” Karin interrupted, “You don’t sound self centred, sometimes you have to believe in yourself.” I looked up at her with tears threatening to spill,
“But even so, I managed to get myself held hostage!” I clenched my fists and turned away, “I feel so filthy!” I dropped to my knees and shook my head. Karin rushed to my side,
“Hey! Don’t feel so bad about getting captured! It’s alright!” I shook my head and looked at my ringed finger,
“It’s just that, I’m causing Sasuke so much pain.” Karin blinked,
“What? Why?” I sniffed and shook my head,
“I got engaged, to a guy I don’t even love!” I gave her a desperate look, “I just… I just feel so bad about it.” Karin sighed and shook her head,
“Don’t.” I frowned at her,
“What do you mean?”
“Don’t feel bad about it. I assume you’re the one he went to see when we had to go to a village close to yours?” I nodded slowly,
“I guess…” Karin sighed wearily,
“His chakra became so much more peaceful after that, before, it was dark and pain filled. It was if something in him had been switched on, he was a happier person from there forth.” Selfish pride filled my being at the thought that I could do something like that to him,
“Oh.” Was all I let come out of my mouth though. Karin put on a look of concentration,
“Sasuke’s winning, but barely. I think he’ll come back soon to collect us.” I nodded,
“You’re a sensory type of ninja?” I asked,
“Hai.” She answered. And that was all that was said between us, although I knew that we had a slightly better understanding of each other so it wasn’t as awkward as before.
So, instead of standing around and staring dumbly at a rock, I prepared to leave.

Cruddy ending, I know, and yes, it HAS been a long long long time hasn’t it? Well, my internets been down for two weeks, and yea, that’s not really an excuse since I haven’t uploaded in so damn long. But yea, Sasuke’s back in it :3 gotta love Ayame, although I feel sorry for her :( but yea, get ready for the next chapter >:) And if this is short, gomen ^.^’
